- Visiting the largest night market in the world, it is in Taiwan and called the Fengjia night market.
If you were to visit Taiwan just to eat, just book a hotel at this area and you can eat til you pop...with a smile on your face of course.
There is lots of affordable, delicious and freshly cooked food all within walkable distance.
You be spoilt for choice with the amount of variety there is, but do note that most food stalls open at 4pm onwards.

If you see the store, please try it.
Each store's taste will be different.
Although the price of the chain will be higher, but the taste is usually very good.

My favourite Night Market - not just in Taichung - but all of Taiwan (I've visited Taiwan thrice now). Huge variety of amazing food - this video is really but the tip of the iceberg. Personal favourites are the sweet potato fries, onion pancake and fried chicken. You'll find so, so much more here - it's a huge place. Highly recommended if you ever visit Taiwan!

Nah not raw just not overcooked. Go get urself some good korean fried chicken or any chicken that the meat doesn’t dry out inside while frying at it will look the same. The hemoglobin can stain the meat so pink and juicy doesnt always equal raw.
@@kovots can also be the seasoning / brining ... some brines especially on thigh meats will make meat stay/look pinker!
Im curious as to why he used fresh tongs for each piece of meat. Was it to keep the fry oil from getting into the batter?

I think you're right. He shakes them off then lets them hang so the oil drips and minimal amounts get into the batter when he goes to use the tongs again, since he reused one of them.
Definitely why he kept changing tongs, that much batter would cover a lot of pieces of meat, but you wouldn't want to get a bunch of oil in it and throw off the balance or have some of it thicken and cook from hot oil dripping.
He puts them back in the hot water so they are clean for the next piece, basically to avoid that liquid dough to stick on the tongs, if you won't do that then a lot of stuck dough won't let you make the clean soaked piece, it might look sort of inaccurate work, which is not good for business.
@@pandakungfu2365 That's what I thought, too. He was cleaning them because batter gets so stuck to tongs that it would soon be too much for the tongs to work any more.

The shaved ice dessert is sorta like a Canadian Maple Sugaring-Off Candy in the bush. Where you take the boiled sap and pour it over snow and roll it on a stick like a toff, but not as thick.

Is was franchise in Malaysia many years ago with many outlets across. But never really make an impact and eventually many of its outlet closed one by one until left with one outlet in Malaysia only. I tried it before, its just okay. Chicken more oily than KFC. It's way over rated in this video

The slicer robot had a sign on him that said "劉一刀", thats suppose to be a pun bc "劉" is the same pronouncation as "流" which means smooth/glide. "一" is 1 and "刀" 's knife/blade.
So I'm pretty sure they named the robot this bc its complimenting the fact that the robot is AMAZING at his job lol
