  • It's time to finally perform a compression check on the 66,000 mile L05 350 TBI engine that came with my 1993 Chevy Blazer. I'll run through the steps and show you how it's done. Hopefully, I'm not in for any surprises.

    Good job
But some times keeping a clean pistons and clean cylinders it sounds better for long engine life
Please use very very light normal SAE30 engine oil for 1000km (600miles) with new filter 2 times , after then continue with 5W30 or 0W20 or as per your country environment temperature..
Every 3000miles period change the engine oil n the oil filter for the next 3 times period , then stay on 4000miles , always change oil with filters
Also clean air cleaner filter every every engine oil service and replace it every 12000 miles
Also clean n check the air intake line n clean the sensor n check for any vacuum leak
It is very very important to do so to keep the entire engine top clean , last long life..
After all you will notice saving 30% fuel
