    My number one comfort food of all time. I remember sitting in the kitchen while my grandma made them. I still have her skillet.

    Yummy,
    My mom and now myself always have made these... we cut our potatoes way thinner, also cut our onions into thin slices the same as the potatoes and use alot more butter 😆
    We make the fried potatoes, fried chicken, crock pot pinto beans and homemade corn bread! Its a awesome meal just takes a long time to cook it all...but so worth it. Delicious 😋

    • @Passionforfoodrecipes
      @Passionforfoodrecipes  Před 3 lety +2

      I'll see what I can do! I think you'd find it surprisingly straightforward and easy, it's all just one continuous shot!
      The key to linking up the "before" and "after" parts is movement in the frame.
      In other words you've got your unpeeled potato, you move it down towards the cutting board. Then you just stop and peel it, now you move the peeled potato down in the same orientation for the "after" shot, now you just have to find the place in the before and after shots where the potato is in basically the same spot moving downwards and remove the middle.

    • @FlourEggsYeast
      @FlourEggsYeast Před 3 lety

      @@Passionforfoodrecipes do you fade the two shots together in a transition or just put one over the other? Maybe me trying to time the fade is why it’s not working well?

      @Passionforfoodrecipes  Před 3 lety

      @@FlourEggsYeast no fade or anything just a cut from one to the other

      @spaghettieggplantsauce8533 Před rokem

      Steam them upon boiling water, leave them cool for a while. The secret of not mushy is to cool the potatoes down.Toss in some butter, then saute like in the video. If lazy, steam the night before. Faster cooking time
