Contact area and height of contour why is not same for all teeth.What is the difference between these two term I am confused
The height of contour is the point on a surface of a tooth the bulges out the most.
The contact area is the point where two adjacent teeth touch.
The contact area and height of contour of the proximal surfaces of teeth do match because the part of the tooth that bulges out the most will be the part that touched the adjacent tooth.
