    Me as someone who tries to see himself in the piano (make my own melodies) i can perfectly understand this composer. The strange necessity of confusion in one's music, not making a clear music. It needs confusion for some reason. That's why i love Bartók so much, he is the perfect combination between confusion and clarity.

    One of the great performance classics! How to give full theatrical effect with minimum props - i mean notes, and fantastic tonal variety and control. Most riveting to see it again; what an artist, and a great program.

      yes great the first time i particularly enjoyed the sense of this part the moodiness playfulness and sheer musicality of the modal shifts and expression in the pianoforte
