Extremely generous, gives back to her community and cares immensely about the well being of her players. You can dislike her comments but to talk negatively and incorrectly about someone you don’t know makes you look like the one lacking class.

Sports has always brought out the ugliness of racism in this country. We can go back to early 1900's with Jack Johnson a black heavy weight champion in boxing. The man received death threats because he was beating white men in a fair fight.

I am a lifelong Lady Vols and Pat Summitt supporter. In over 40yrs, I never witnessed any Lady Vol player ever body slam a opponent the way that Boston did last night. Ever.

Both teams played with class and remained classy afterward. Not knowing much about either team I was surprised that it didn't get more physical. South Carolina definitely had the size and is very talented. Caitlyn and the Iowa gang were just on fire. It took an extremely solid performance by Iowa to beat SC.

They didn't know how to play a different kind of offense when all their big players were stuck standing around in the paint. did you see the IOWA players back off from their "shooters" by about 10 feet daring them to shoot and they missed over and over again?
@@minarik01 It was the inability to stop the points in the paint that ultimately led to SCs losing. They couldn't adjust to the give and go and it cost them the championship. ❤
I for one would like the rules to change where you can’t just sit in the paint on defense. Just like the offense has a 3 second rule, make it the same for the defense. SC lost by four, count how many layups they missed.

Clean game? No. A clean game isn't about missing shots, crashing the boards, and relying on calls not being made.
Those assists that Clark continued to make- that is what a clean game is. I think Iowa resembled the Golden State Warriors- I mean clearly not remotely as skilled- but their game was similar. And Golden State has played the "cleanest" basketball of any team. I guess you could argue against Green. But Draymond is an elite passer.
I thought is was a tough, physical, but overall very clean game all around. And the refs were pretty consistent. There was a lot of banging and jostling in the lane, but they weren't calling ticky-tack over the back calls on SC all night like they could have. In the end the foul totals and free throw totals were very even.
The Iowa coach said it was a bar fight.
@@langston122 She meant that as a compliment that the SC coach completely took the wrong way and got on her soap box. It was rather disgusting.
When someone says that it's like a bar fight rebounding against you- that means that Iowa highly respected SC's rebounding ability, which they should have. SC killed them on the boards- but Iowa did get some very timely rebounds when it mattered most.
In the end, I was very impressed with Clark's offensive game. Her numbers don't look as good as she played because she had defenders on her all game. SC did make her work hard- and that fatigued her. She ended up missing a layup or two due probably to fatigue since SC made her work so hard.
I don't watch women's basketball. I watched this game because I wanted to watch something to make the time on the treadmill go faster. So I recorded it and fast forwarded through commercials. I'm really not a fan of women's basketball- or any women's sport.
But Clark is an exception. I've seen women like Griner dominate due to size. But I don't think I have seen a woman the height of Clark be the center piece of a good offense. SC is very good- they are elite. And Iowa took them out. Perhaps if this game was played 10 times SC would win 7 or 8. Which is what make's Clark's performance that much more impressive- having success against a team the quality of SC.
I haven't followed Staley. She obviously is a good coach. But doesn't she have a history of making certain things about race? I don't know how she turned a bar fight compliment into monkeys. That's on Staley.

Or false. Try this on for size: A person can be a generally likeable character away from the court, but character flaws can come out in the heat of competition. An unsportsmanlike word spoken, a push, bullying attempts. So, "if you actually got to know those girl" isn't so cut and dry. Comprende? You didn't make much of a case at all.

@@krystalrice513 Can u give us a couple of examples??? My favorite sports athletes, other than boxers, have been black women in track-and-field. I still know to this day that Usain Bolt holds the men's world record for 100-meters (9.58 seconds) and Flo-Jo (10.49) for women.

Iowa's coaching staff a better game plan. Simply put Dawn got out coached, it's hard for her to swallow. But it's the truth, she made no changes going from 3rd to 4th quarter, better athletes do not always win, better basketball players do.
I think both teams played great..Dawn has won a national championship she obviously can coach.
