With respect to suspension, what about the shock absorber of both cars which was not discussed. To the best of my knowledge, Hyundai i10 nios has gas filled shock absorber which is costlier and has faster response w.r.t. hydraulic shock absorber. Swift shock absorber is hydraulic type. Hence grand i10 nios is supposed to give better ride quality in concrete roads and metal roads with small to medium pot holes. However ground clearance point of view, Swift may be equal to or slightly better than i10 Nios needs to be verified. In Mumbai, generally roads are full of pot holes. Considering this point, one can go for Hyundai newly launched Exter model or Tata's Punch subject to satisfactory ASS( after sales service). One plus point for Swift is that it's 2 inch wider snd hence can have beter comfort when 3 passengerare seated in the rear seats.😮 10:43

Swift would be my choice, reason : K12 dual jet excellent engine with a good balance of performance, mileage and reliability.
Looks our desi mini cooper ( very sporty). Even 5 star rated car is not safe if any rod or vehicle comes fly through the front glass wind sheild or you drive like crazy at excessive speed of 100kmph +
If you drive sensibly even Alto is a safe car to drive. I have been driving for last 35 years two Altos, I 10 & swift 2023 model, still alive and enjoy both city and highway drives. Swift may look little expensive but belive me you wouldn't regret. Spares repairs are available almost everywhere and the cost of genuine spares are very reasonable than I 10.

Tata tiago is very nice car to be taken into consideration, as compared to swift and i10 nios. Atleast I feel, who so ever driving is more safe in tiago then any of these cars.
IT LACKS THE ENGINE FEEL AND PERFORMANCE
Tata Tiago lacks in performance, noisy 3 cylinder engine, fit and finish. Global ncap test speed is 64km/h above that no stars going to work.
There is huge engine lag in Tiago, doesn't have the sporty feeling also. The good part of Tiago is safety and its music system.
Under 10 lakhs what performance are you expecting? It’s an decent engine gets the job done atleast a safer car and takes less damage. This swift and nios are just tin cans, even a 5 year old kid punch these cars a cause a huge damage. They are extremely light weight poor built quality cars. Tiago on the other hand has a top notch build and safety. For daily commute I would choose a safer car for myself and my family.
If I would be looking for performance oriented cars, then II would work hard and buy a better car but not these rubbish tin cars.
