Laura Okmin: PROfiles Brian Urlacher

One of my favorite players - and people - to get to know in my 25 years of covering sports has been Brian Urlacher. He’s one of the kindest, honest, loyalist people I know - however - I always was challenged when interviewing him because once the cameras were rolling, the Bears Hall of Famer, would turn quiet. Yes. Brian Urlacher is shy. Honestly. So wanting to show who Brian was away from the lights, I would always try to get him in his most natural habitat and put cameras out of his face. That meant deep sea fishing off the coast of Florida (with both of us throwing up as cameras rolled and didn’t roll) and this PROfiles episode where I spent the day with Brian running errands. He called me crazy for wanting to shoot a boring day with him. I call it a look into who Brian really is. Bonus? It gave us the opportunity to enjoy the one thing we have in common: Our love of Chipotle.
