I remember growing up in Alberta and watching the Battle of Alberta games with the entire family every Saturday night. Used to make a weekend out of it, spending time out at our extended families places, having a big meal, playing with my cousins, (I was born in 75) and as soon as the HNIC song came on we'd all get ready to watch the games.
It was such a big part of my youth, (as well as playing from 6-16) it was amazing watching Gretzky play. Even though I was a Habs/Rangers fan (my team was the Rangers lol), but I still remember some of the absolutely unreal plays Gretzky would make. It was unreal what he could do on the ice. And just the type of person he was off the ice. Really admired him. He's definitely earned his name. The Great One.

I love how he uses food as energy and not as calories. Calories seems like such a bad word nowadays that people dislike you using it. I use energy myself which is how you should treat food. Energy to run the body. IMO calories isn't such a bad word, society just kinda overused it and make it seem like an enemy among people with weight issues.

However, that is precisely the definition of a calorie, as it's simply a unit of energy :D I do agree though, the word itself carries a negative connotation
