Other respect for the game scenario...I swear no1 says this but ask Buck Showalter about Jeter's walkoff in final game when he was O's manager. He threw him a fastball outside & had the 2B shifted up the middle to a known oppo hitter. I know he let him have a higher chance of gettin a hit there because of respect for the game & the player & the O's weren't playing for anything at the end of that yr.
