  • Can't thank Omar from Raceonly enough for his help tuning this car and getting such a smooth and painless result! Also thanks to LEAD for all the support setting up the dyno on the day.

    Have helped install one of those radium surge tank setups.. what an absolute pain in the hands. My hands so cut up afterwards. Such an incredibly tight fit but looks and works great.

      @@AndrewDate Dropping the tank down a bit helps. Sounds like your float is stuck down.

      ​@joeybratten will give that a try! I pulled it out and reinstalled but same result. You're right though it could be getting wedged in somewhere

    Love the tuning video! I'm using the same fuel surge setup you had previously. Mine starts surging just above a 1/4 tank. Eager to see how your new surge tank setup performs for you.😺

      That's better than mine was working haha. Mine would start surging around half so i had to be always 3/4 or more

    Hey bro ! I’m building a rx7 right now and also running the g40-900 what do you think it’s max operating range will be ? When would it choke up ?also using the 1.06ar

      They really come alive at just over 4000rpm and mine peaked at 7250rpm, if you have an aftermarket intake manifold and some porting i think you would see it carry abit higher.
      Power wise it wouldn't be hard for this turbo to make a real 550whp with E85 and some boost imo. Im limited to pump fuel and at about 15psi im making 430. I am not even close to choking this one out, its only really just coming to life at that boost level.

      @@AndrewDate thanks for the reply bro ! Yeah I will do two tunes with pump and e 85 and see where the choke point is on this turbo . But yeah if I decide the drift the fc it will still be responsive enough for that

      @@kristjanbjarnason5531 This turbo makes more power than my old HKS T04S with a 0.84 rear housing which you would expect but it is also more responsive, i picked up about 30whp minimum everywhere at the same boost.
      I honestly wouldnt reccomend going much smaller than this turbo the response is amazing, you will love it.

    Great video and useful info, thanks! Currently upgrading my FD turbo (similar to s369sxe to g40-900 based). I had similar issues with fuel system and running just large streetports. Mine is pushing over 500 hp with e85 but hoping to get my engine wake up earlier than 4500rpm. :) dyno here: czcams.com/video/E8M6vVfrG_U/video.html

      Nice setup! the G40-900 is a great turbo for the 13B i think you will be happy with your choice.

      @@AndrewDatewill the g40--900 perform at high rpms as well? Just thinking 1.2-1.4bar boost on 6500-8500rpm. Most seem to dip there. mine need to add boost after 6500rpm

      @FVampir peak for me was 7,262rpm but I'm revving to 8,500rpm when drifting with no problems at all. I think the oem intake manifold is more the problem for high rpm not so much the turbo. There are people making over 550whp with the g40-900 and the new turblown intake manifold with much more boost than I can run because they have Ethanol available to them.
