- Piers Morgan Uncensored responds to Meghan Markle's new 'Archetypes' podcast on Spotify. In the first episode the Duchess tells a story about her baby son Archie's room catching fire during a trip to South Africa. Meghan was then told to still go out and carry out an engagement and make a speech with her husband Prince Harry the next day. Jeremy Kyle discusses Meghan's return to the spotlight with TalkTV contributor Esther Krakue, Royal Editor Robert Jobson and former Labour advisor Richard Power-Sayeed.
Robert Jobson begins by saying that he was there in South Africa when the alleged fire in Archie's nursery broke out and that to his knowledge there were "no fire engines called to the residence, so we have to ask questions".
Esther joins in the conversation and suggests that Meghan is "pretentious" and follows up by saying she thinks Meghan's biggest frustration with being a part of the Royal Family is that "she couldn't curate her image for the public". She also agrees that there are many members of the Royal Family that are "less palatable" but it doesn't change the fact that she is unpopular.

I am American and love the Queen. 100% agree with Esther about her walking away from her duty. Most members of the Royal Family are extremely hard working. It is evident they understand they are where they are because of the people of Britain. Good heavens, at her wedding MM was walked down the aisle by the future King for goodness sake! I was shocked. I think the family pulled out all the stops to make her feel welcome, as did the citizenry there.

I think saying she didn’t give it enough time or didn’t understand the culture is giving her too much credit. She never intended to live a life of service. As a bi racial woman, I was delighted when she came here to marry Harry. I thought she was a breath of fresh air and would diversify the monarchy and represent the commonwealth in a good way. Fantastic opportunity. But very quickly, over time, she has time and again shown how selfish she is, and how unhappy she appears to have made Harry. She likes to act like the ‘second Diana’, but what she doesn’t know, is that Diana gave years of hard work to charities, developing the commonwealth and giving up her time to those in need. Over decades, she earned the public’s respect. But Megan barely managed 11 months before throwing a hissy fit and taking Harry to America where she feels more in her comfort zone. Royal life is hard, and that was a hard lesson for her to learn.

But she kept getting put in her place like a puppy being paper- trained. That's why she scooped up her toys and ran home to LA. She wanted the same regard and fascination the world had lavished on Diana, but she lacked the pedigree, the charm, the style, the dedication, and she had slim odds of becoming future queen. On September 25, the day she was referring to, it was 81 degrees in Cape Town, S. Africa, I seriously doubt that a heater was needed. So why did she say it was on in the mansion she was staying at, not a hut, as she wanted people to believe! You can check it out for yourselves, where they stayed and the temperature at the time of their visit..maybe she should before tells her lies!
Didn't she say in her podcast that they were staying in a housing unit? That was a bit of a slap in the face to whomever's home it was. I heard that it was the High Commissioner's home, but I'm not sure, and from pictures it looks a very nice "housing unit" indeed.
Maybe the room was too cold because the air con was over effective. Or maybe it was only a little portable thing for heating the baby’s bottle.

Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)
Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is also a Cluster B personality disorder. It is characterized by consistent changes in behavior, mood, and self-image. Episodes of anger, depression, and anxiety lasting up to a few days are common for people with BPD.2
People with BPD frequently change their opinion of themselves and others and their interests. Drastic changes in opinion often lead to tumultuous or unstable relationships with others. Other symptoms of BPD include:

How Often NPD and BPD Co-Occur
While the overlap between NPD and BPD is discussed often in the popular psychology literature and online, very few careful studies of the co-occurrence of NPD and BPD have been conducted. One older study reported that almost 39% of people with BPD also have NPD.4
A 2018 study that drew from a treatment-seeking sample rather than a community sample found that about 13% of patients with BPD also meet the diagnostic criteria for NPD.5
Another 2018 study showed a strong correlation between BPD and a certain type of narcissism: vulnerable narcissism, which is characterized by hypersensitivity, defensiveness, and low self-esteem. The same study also found that male patients had higher narcissistic scores than female patients. But its sample size was small (65 people).6
How Common Is Borderline Personality Disorder?
How NPD Affects BPD
There are a number of theoretical reasons to believe that someone with both NPD and BPD would be less likely to get better over time. People with NPD can be resistant to treatment, and often have poor insight into the ways that their behaviors are detrimental to themselves or others.
Also, people with NPD may cause more emotional pain to others than they cause themselves. This can mean that their motivation to change their behavior is very low.
Research supports the theory that when people have both borderline personality disorder and narcissism, their BPD symptoms are less likely to improve over time.
One study that followed BPD patients over six years found that rates of co-occurring NPD were fairly low, about 6%, in patients whose BPD eventually went away (remitted).
However, rates of co-occurring NPD were higher (around 19%) in patients whose BPD did not remit after six years.7 So there is a subset of people with non-remitting BPD and higher rates of NPD.
NPD and BPD in Relationships
The relationships of people with BPD are often quite dysfunctional. Adding NPD into the mix can create even more disordered conditions. One study notes, for example, that as the severity of NPD increases, so does aggression (directed at oneself or others) and difficulty with interpersonal behavior and moral functioning.8
In addition to the chaotic emotional life and fears of abandonment associated with BPD, a person with co-occurring NPD may also take advantage of or manipulate others while having little empathy for others' concerns. This combination can be incredibly destructive in relationships.
If you are in a relationship with someone who has BPD, NPD, or both, encourage them to seek treatment. Individual therapy for each partner, along with couples' therapy, may help you both cope with the symptoms of personality disorders that make relationships difficult.
Treatment for NPD and BPD
There are currently no empirically supported treatments for NPD9 and no published clinical trials of treatments for NPD alone or co-occurring with BPD.
Published research on the treatment of NPD is limited to some case studies or anecdotal accounts, but these types of studies tend to be unreliable and subject to bias. The case study literature on the treatment of NPD has primarily centered around the use of modified psychoanalytic techniques and has recognized the challenges of successfully treating the disorder.10
The clinical literature, in general, tends to regard NPD as very difficult to treat, particularly in its most severe forms.8
Some researchers suggest that because there is some overlap between NPD and BPD symptoms (such as impulsivity and destructive behaviors), treatments designed for BPD, including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mentalization-based therapy, schema-focused therapy, and transference-based psychotherapy, may also work with NPD. However, more research on the topic is needed.8

Esther needed more voice time and to be heard more. She is absolutely right. She could contribute a great deal. Robert Jobson is right as well... w/out the monarchy... then you have ego maniacs jockeying for recognition and they will be politically biased. In the US political leaders are divisive, in the UK with the HMTQ there is balance, and the monarchy is ego free of grandstanding actors pushing different agendas. She steers a straight course free of partisanship.
