This is a good example of a horror film. A bit of suspense, a bit of creepiness. No cheap jumpscares or violence. It is really interesting to watch

One old Filipino belief about dark witches in the rural provinces is that when a dying witch passes on her power to a protege, a black chick exits her mouth at the point of death. This chick forcibly tries to enter the successor's mouth. If it succeeds, the old witch's abilities transfer to the protege. But if the chick is caught and killed before it possesses to its new host, the old witch's legacy ends. This is what the film reminds me of.

Wow this was a very unusual one I must say lol. It was full of creativity though most definitely, the cinematography was superb, the girls were all amazing actors, and the ending was on point. Alter has had every kind of story you could ever imagine and more! All of the different people that collaborate and come together to share their films with us is something I look forward to every week 👍

was pleasantly surprised to hear "opo". love seeing our country represented in the media. I loooooove these short horror flicks so i was on a binge and this was next on my playlist. Filipino pride woot woot!
I know I'm 3 months too late, but I moved to the Philippines about 4 years ago and never wanna leave. I love the people here!!! I love watching these horror short films and I was also surprised to hear tagalog being spoken, but wasn't surprised that they chose a filipina as the "pure" character. I love Filipinas ❤️

I so much loved the fact that apart from looking creepy and weird the ritual itself was nothing wrong. A genuinely felt happy for the Main Charecter in the end, for she found acceptence and, in a strange way, friends.

When she was accepted into the coven... that was the most convincing portrayal of ecstasy that I have ever seen in my life.
I love how the girls seem to genuinely love her and want her to join the group, rather than setting her up for a situation just so they can bully her.

i always wondered what teenage girls did at slumber parties. i won't lie, i had to force myself through the first 4 minutes, fully expecting one of those humiliating bully twists but holy crap, that took a lot of turns in ways that were weird as they were great
So they become either dinosaurs or birds. Either way, that was awesome.

So much of this film seems frenzied- the fantic and frenzied tone makes it seem more ominous than anything else. That kind of "crazy eye", over the top energy makes me think danger 🚩
