So happy someone introduced you to Dimmu! They’re from my country Norway and have made some serious impact on metal through the years. Hope you’ll do some more from them (In that case check out Mourning Palace also live at Wacken).

Dimmu Borgir means Dark Cities (or Castles), but the name is inherited from volcanic area at Iceland called Dimmuborgir. I'm not too much of a fan of this type of vocals and lyrics, but these gigs with full orchestra & choir are awesome. Mourning Palace from this same Wacken concert is probably my favorite.

"As our formation is lava" fits nice in this song cause Dimmu Borgir is a volcanic formation in Iceland i think and Dimmu Borgir means Gates of Hell..

At 6:34 you talk about his vocals. That's one of the reasons I fell in love with Dimmu. Shagraths voice is more of a growl, and it's so different. It's not just yelling or screaming like a lot of metal bands.
