It's like BuzzFeed, but down under. We're a bit cooked, not afraid to get deep and sometimes we'll make you crack up. New videos every week!
This was such a close competition! Love how everybody really enjoyed everything too. Nobody was trying to outdo anybody or being too critical just to get a better score. Ya love to see it
We are glad you enjoyed it!
This has to be my favorite "Chefs Try" ever -- such clever dishes and amazing contestants, great job everyone! 👑
Yay, we are glad you enjoyed it!
There just vegan ppl need to really research that diet before going on it not to heathy for you
All the participants/chefs were so generous with the scores… loved seeing such a healthy competition… favourite pairing so far🎉
Yay, we are glad you enjoyed it!
Such close scoring it was really anyone's game. I can gladly say I tasted the winning dish after this shoot and I was totally mesmerised.
damn that tofu tuna burger looks amazing, I really wanna try
You can try it at his restaurant.. Flave
One of the best taste test videos I’ve seen. They were all so humble and respectful of each other’s dishes, very refreshing to see.
Glad you enjoyed it
Eating them all was the best day ever! So much fun to shoot x
I’ve never had tofu and I’m not sure if I would love it or hate it but this video is still very entertaining to me. In my opinion Buzzfeed Oz is light years better than the US version
If you cook it right it taste almost exactly like real meat!! 💗 is definitely recommend giving it a try when done right
If you don't mind the texture of eggs or the inside of a chicken nugget, you can pretty much do anything with tofu as long as it's soaking up the right flavors
It’s super mellow in flavour, and there’s lots of different varieties depending on the texture you’re after. Just infuse it with plenty of flavours, and I’m sure you’ll love it!
It’s hard to not like it!
My go to is freezing firm/extra firm tofu, thawing it & draining it, marinade in equal parts tamari/maple syrup, tiny bit of Worcestershire sauce, any spices you’d like, then fry it! Also love tofu scrambles.
Generally I find most marinades that you could use for meat, you could use for tofu. 😊
All these were so distinctive and really all celebrated tofu in different ways. Probably the best video from this series for sure!
We are glad you enjoyed it!
Can't believe he cooked for McCartney!!! All these dishes were *10/10s*
I would pay good money to try each and every one of these dishes
This is undoubtedly the best chef’s try by miles
Chefs*
There was no drama in this one! The chefs were so encouraging and didn't put on a show! when it tasted good they gave the props and weren't being judgmental before even tasting.
Liz is so great, so animated, and I really want to try her tofu
She's the absolute best and her tofu was soooo amazing! She also posted the recipe in the comments
did anyone else laugh at how tamika said liz’s was absolutely divine and then only gave her an 8 lol
8 is also a good rating.
I was confused, wasn't expecting her to give it an 8 😭😅
I feel like she does that often
She was gushing over it and I had to scoff when she only gave her an eight after all that lol
I'm not a big fan of tofu but this was the best episode in this series. Everyone had such an interesting take on their dishes and delivered top quality food.
Tofu is such an underrated ingredient. All of these chefs did an amazing job!
Having Liz, Sina and Scott on was such a delight!
We had the absolute best day!
@@sinapopina9187 Great Job! I thought all your recipes looked amazing! As a vegetarian myself I would definitely be trying them in the future! Keep up the great work!👍😀
I love how respectful they are to each other.
I absolutely LOVE how supportive the chefs are of eachother!
Everyone is so nice to each other's dish and so generous, it's wholesome. Loved this video.
I love how different everyone's recipes are. This really showcased the versatility of tofu
these chefs are so fair and awesome!
Those tofu dishes all looked incredible!
Love it!
Great to see Tofu being the centre stage.
Millions of people eat it - this challenge opens up the mind to be more adventurous.
Each dish impressed me.
I am not a burger fan as I am no friend of what gets added.
The fish (Tofu) burger with tuna tartar & the crispy fish like skin charcoal bun had my taste buds crying out for a taste.
I loved this post - more please.
Amazing contestants, they are hyping up each other’s dishes and great personalities too. They all look so happy ❤
So excited to see liz miu here! I love seeing her recipes come up on my social media feed!!!
I would love to see the chefs make recipes that are gluten, dairy, corn, mushroom and soy free! I have several intolerances and find baking around these quite challenging
My favorite “chefs try” so far!! Like I’ve never seen such clever dishes 🎉 kudos to the team❤❤❤
Absolutely love this cast and this series!
I really wanna try every one of those dishes, but especially the tuna burger and the cheesecake! These were all really creative ideas and I loved seeing all the positivity in the video.
Not even vegan but a huge lover of silken tofu. Can't wait to give some of these recipes a try one day
I need all of these recipes!! Like the actual measurements and such. I’m not an eyeball person haha.
I’ve just posted mine in the comments 😊
@@tanikadouglas_ I’ve been desperately searching for your comment but I can’t find it! Yours actually intrigued me the most. I want to make it for dinner tomorrow 🥺❤️
This one one of my fave episodes, everyone was professional and not envious and rating low scores regardless of how much they enjoyed it. Love to see these types of people in competitions
So much creativity and good sportsmanship! I gotta try ALL these recipes!
I love tanika sm I think she’s such a good chef 🫂
Literally every dish looked mouth-wateringly good. Tough competition this one. This has to be one of my fave "...try each other's..." video ever.
This is one of my favorite episodes ever all same-genre YT channels included
Every dish was so creative and so fun!
Obsessed with the cutie dancing whenever she enjoyed her food☺️☺️ her energy was so good, they all are lovely people actually
Need more videos like this
All of these dishes looked amazing! Tanika and Liz are my favorites I love how ecstatic they are about food😂🥰
Thanks for watching!! 🧡
All the recipes looked so good!!
The 3 minute tofu with chili oil is my GO TO quick lunch. I love it!
That first dish looked so phenomenal!!
I so wanted this guys thank you
I really thought Scott was going to say I'm mr. clean
Wow, I loved this soooo much! They are all so talented and professional….I’m obsessed!!!!
*I love how they weren’t hating on each other’s dishes* ❤️
these looked SO good!! yummm
Loved the variety of the recipes! Def trying them all! 🤤
I want all of these dishes! They look so good!
LIZ I love her smmmm and her recipes are yum
This episode was amazing
all of this food looks absolutely incredible! 🔥
I need this to be recreated where I am the taste tester.
My fav was definitely the 3rd one. Of course I have no idea how it tastes but that's what the best cuisine looks like for me; pure simplicity with great execution. Looks so fresh and light,
buzzfeedOz is the only buzzfeed channel I follow
Omggg... all the dishes look yummy 😍😍😍
Tanika giving us DIVINEEEE!
Haha 😂
I'd give 10/10 to all of them❤️amazing job!
Really hated tofu, but after watching this video now im keen on trying tofu dishes 😄
i hate tofu too. but the only exception that i can eat, and love too(what a contrast from my orevious statement 🤣) is silken tofu. that tofu is the only thing that i crave to eat for almost everyday..
same i tried so many times to try it and its just so gross, the texture is just to mushy no matter howmany times people say it sucks up the flavor of stuff i just cant taste it. Id be willing to try the burger the most i think
All of you made delicious dishes that I would try!!!!
Ive noticed how actually chefs who KNOW they can cook are way less critical and competitive
I love these videos !
All of the dishes look absolutely delicious! I will definitely try to make the 3 minute silken tofu dish and I'll have to try it with firm tofu because I like a chew to my tofu. The tofu cheesecake looks delicious too but I've never had tofu cream cheese before. I wonder if I can use a nut based cream cheese with the firm tofu and coconut milk. I love miyoko's vegan cream cheese, it has a nice tiny tartness to it.
Oh, how I wish I could try each of these!!!!
they were all very generous with their scoring. the food must've been off the fucking chain
I really wanted to be friends with everyone in this round. The dishes looked lovely and it seemed like they were being fair rather than trying to win.
I would've never believed that cheese cake was tofu by looking at it though !
I wish the recipes were listed!!
I’ve posted my recipe here in the comments 😊
Everything looked so good.👌🏾💜
I literally wanna try every dish. Looked amazing.
Thanks for the video. DIVINE!!!!😆
I’ve just started my tofu journey earlier this month and I love me a spicy fried tofu. But a tofu cheesecake. Now that is something I have to try
I love when the food is gluten free. This was the best episode yet
That comment of tofu being a blank canvas is such an interesting way to describe tofu... After watching this video I really want to explore all the ways to make tofu meals
I want to try everything from this competition!!
Those dishes looked divine.
Love seeing vegan content on this channel!
The first burger is like the burger competition from parks and recreation
'Are people being ruthless??' She's so cute lol
I'm sorry but I can't get over how good Tanika tan is ❤️❤️
Pro Tip, for fried tofu, try freezing and defrosting the tofu first-- it gives a more dense texture
One of my top 10 favorite episodes of "[Somebodies] Try...." . I appreciate the diversity of recipes and each of the chefs themselves. For sure will make the silken tofu with delicious chili-oil, etc. this week. The tofu nuggets look like fun. I'd like to make the cheesecake for friends, but I'm not that confident. That tuna-burger is just out of my league altogether. Or, maybe it's just that the steps look like they take more time than I'm prepared to commit. _Also...._
*Also:* I don't think Liz can help being so cute, and I think people might have almost as difficult a time fighting the urge to point it out.
There. Didn't say it.
I enjoyed this series and watching professional chefs try and comment on each other's food. If you're looking for more ideas, I was going to suggest making your chefs do sweetbreads, lamb dishes, or healthy breakfasts. I would love to see what kind of creative twists the chefs could apply to these slightly more obscure categories.
I think in particular my knowledge on simple, healthy breakfasts is lacking and I would love to see what some pro chefs could come up with.
I like how they appreciate everyone.. but the banter of buzzfeed India is better
Best one so far for me.
🧡
I wanna see more like this 😍😋
This is full of great vegan recipes and has given me some great ideas for the ever-versatile tofu!!
I wish we got the full recipes to follow along at home! Does anyone know where to get them?
I’ve posted my recipe in the comments here 😊 Enjoy!
I’ve posted mine too! (Liz) xx
@@tanikadouglas_ thanks for your fast reply! I can’t find the recipe, can you please link it or tag me in a comment?
@@itslizmiu thanks Liz! I already had your delicious one from Instagram 😋😋
@@annapeppou4033 Oops I can’t seem to tag you! But it was posted 23 hrs ago, so If you scroll down to then, it should be there. Let me know if you have any issues 😊
I love Liz ❤
really enjoyed this episode, would love to see more plant-based foods x
Participants so much more respectful than US imo
These all look so good 😍 love seeing vegan recipes
That first burger looks like that nasty ass burger from that one SpongeBob episode that killed the health inspector😭
God all of them sound delicious and there commentary is nice and encouraging
Ever since I got covid (twice) I've been unable to eat red meat or pork without it tasting like rot (it's a side effect of covid cause parasomia) so I've been looking to expand my diet to meatless foods, so I don't have to eat chicken and turkey all the time, and all these look amazing
2:09 Dude if that's shallow fry, imagine deep fry.
Loove thiss
I may make the KFT tomorrow. 🤔 That looks good
This ALL looks divine! 😉😍
My God all of this looks so delicious. I'm not really familiar with a lot of plant-based cooking. All of these dishes look like they stand on their own as completely unique creations and not just a plant-based copy of a meat dish. The flavors look so intense. I would love to try these.
