Despite all the refereeing mistake that entire first half we just look like a slow team with no movement and desire to actually create threat. Yamal who is 16 is bringing all the danger and creativity through the pitch this is actually shocking, we need to be more creative and dominant as a team in the attack

Agreed with this - since when have we been a team that is too afraid to take the fight to our opponents and attack them. With this game and against PSG, we were willing to sit back and we invited all the pressure to the point where it felt like it was only a matter of time.
Our mentality is that we are inferior and so we are afraid to go out and compete. Yamal and Cubarsi are the shining lights and the fact that we are so dependent on a 16 and 17 year old is shocking and also confirmation that we don't need to go out and spend big all the time.
We should give chances to Cassado, Faye etc and build the team around La Masia players and purchase where we need to add depth etc.

Hang on to the core academy kids (Balde, Gavi, Yamal, Cubarsi, Fermin, Guiu, Fort) + Barca B purchases like Pedri, Araujo, Faye, Darvich; but blow up the rest of this team. Raise funds by selling FDJ, Kounde and Raphinha. Bench Lewandowski. Let Roberto, Alonso and depending on finances - Iñigo - go. Either get rid of Ter Stegen or at least bring in one GK who can challenge him.
Bring in an elite coach with experience like Flick instead of Xavi or Marquez. And then sign a top notch DM, a starting RB, and a good winger who can actually dribble and beat defenders one on one. And as mentioned above, competition/replacement for Ter Stegen.
I was happy and im happy about the fact that xavi is leaving. We really didn't look like we are playing this match to win, we played like cowards after every time we scored. This has been the case almost throughout the season.

So Fermin has two options available to him at this point: 1) he can do a quick side-step to the right and go around Rudiger and possibly have to go shoulder-to-shoulder with Camavinga (who is not yet close to Fermin); or 2) he can keep moving forward and contact Rudiger and try to engineer a foul. He chooses option #2, the ref sees it for what it is, and play continues. And note: Fermin doesn't protest loudly because he knows that he was trying to sell as a foul something that was not a foul.

WHY do we always lose focus and concentration after we score? Every time we score, I get nervous for the following 10 mins or so because, more often than not, we we either concede an easy goal or give away easy chances to our opponents. How a week can change everything. We were on a roll 7 days ago and now its all over for us and the worst part is that in all this chaos that has ensued Barca for the last 10 years, Real have really put daylight between us and them. Am just realistic. Barcelona has never been as big as real madrid. Team only had it's golden era once (2005-2015). While RM had it 5 or 6 times. Also if Barcelona isn't at his best there's no way they gonna win UCL. While real Madrid can do it anytime, and also how they want (they can even park the bus like Chelsea and beat man city). Luck is mostly on their side in big moments, their mentality is unmatched. It's like a movie. They are main characters. They have plot armor. We don't have the Barca DNA anymore, we play to slow without any urgency, not creating chances, no crossing ball in the box, just ball side to side and hope for the best. It hard to watch Barca and support it now. We need to promote more LaMasia academy young players and stop buy all these big name players that can't do shit. I know this was an el Classico but I can’t believe we took off lewa and didn’t put in a natural 9 like vitor, who mind you is being wasted away on the bench because Barca wanted to rush his transfer and not wait till pre season so he could adjust naturally to the team and league like endrick will when he goes to Madrid. Now vitor doesn’t get regular minutes he could’ve had in Brazil if we just waited a bit longer and is being wasted on the bench. I’m sorry for the rant but I truly hate to see a young player treated like this especially when brought in with a decently sized price tag.

Puig is far better than Pedri, though he needs to step up his defensive effort.

Despite the bad decisions by the ref and the disastrous performance by lewandowski and cancelo, we hv some positives to take away from the game....the youngsters r the heart and soul of this team lamine, cuba and fermine was absolutely phenomenal coming off the bench its the 3rd clasico i hv seen him perform at a very high level...he loves playing against madrid
Cancelo is an attacking player. That’s where he’s dangerous. On the wing. Which is where he should play. As a winger or at least a wingback. He has speed, shooting ability on both feet, and has the vision to make a pass/cross/trivela. He is not defensively sound though. That’s why he should consider switching positions to potentially save his career.

As much I wanted those decisions, we weren’t convincing at all. Didn’t seem like we could even hold the lead. Everything seemed too slow and never really threatening. The performance was worse than the decisions. Btw Cancelo made the same mistake as he did with Dembele. Starting to lose faith in him tbh 🤷♂️

Jamie; i have to be honestX the ball did not cross the line. Yes we need goal line technology, and that’s absurd this league doesn’t have that. But from the angle you showed it looks in. But than in another camera is doesn’t. It’s close call that shouldn’t need to be such controversy if the right systems were in place. But from other camera angles it doesn’t look like the ball fully crosses. The Yamal play was not a penalty at all. I thought Barca once again… fully crumbled. Cancelo let us down on the defense, and Kounde made the biggest mistake of not scanning his back to see Jude making his run all… alone. Doesn’t matter if Barca player better or not, they didn’t play completely better than Real, and we all know Real is a team that doesn’t need to play good football to win. This team needs a complete change in mentality. We need stronger RB and LB, a strong pivot because before De Jong was forced off by i jury… barca had the midfield locked down!! And a change in mentality. Barca still does not have a winning mentality….. and Xavi is not helping. Sometimes it’s blatant, but TODAY** Barca wavered when it mattered the most…. Again…

The subs were not bad ur just reaching n blaming the easiest person...it was do or die for us he took out Christensen to add more control n attacking prowess in the midfield that was completely getting over ran... remember we needed to win this game a draw would've been fine for Madrid

The ref today was amazing....for Real Madrid. Just as the ref was amazing for PSG on tuesday.
Modric should have had 6 yellow cards today. Rüdiger should have had 3 yellow. Real Madrid's pen was super soft. I mean almost the exact same thing happemed to us earlier in the season. I think it was Lewandowski that got a penalty for a similar thing. But VAR changed it so we didn't get the penalty. When Valverde injured Frenkie it should've been a yellow for dangerous play. Fermin should have had a pen when Rüdiger fouled him with the clear obstruction. If Araujo got red against Barcola, then Camavinga should have had a red for an almost identical foul on Yamal. And yamal should have had a pen when camavinga fouled him. And we should maybe have had a goal (but Tebas convniently made sure la liga doesn't have goal line technology). And today he got what he wanted by not having it so barca didn't get a goal that might have been over the line. And the worst thing is that the referees are against us EVERY SINGLE GAME in both la liga and CL. In la liga bc we are a catalan club and in CL bc we support the Super League.
But we also have to admit that we had a lot of chances we should have scored and Cancelo was terrible defensively.
Season done. I think Cancelo shouldn't be signed permanently, he clearly has his defensive frailties. Yamal only one trying. What a shame for Xavi's tenure to end this way
