Mustang Embarrasses Evo on Tail of the Dragon

- I was driving my 2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 at the famous road, Tail of the Dragon. I caught up to a random black Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X (please correct me if I'm wrong on model name). It was a fun little run while it lasted, but I didn't like his driving.
Car is stock other than a "R" style resonator delete and some cosmetic mods.

They all need revoked licences, the speed limit is 30mph the entire way down the Dragon. Complete disregard for others safety recklessly driving like this.

Props to you for backing off the Evo after he was crossing the yellow one too many times. Whenever I see people doing that I give myself as much space as possible between them. They were clearly trying to show off and not paying attention to the lane.

Incredible omission of guardrails missing from many of those turns. I would not sleep at night if I was in charge of public safety for such roads without guardrails.

How's your gen 1 voodoo? Any oil consumption or other going boom boom things? Apparently the car tells you if it's low on oil too? WOT and if the oil pressure gauge spikes downward? Anyhow, love the video!
Thanks for watching! Gen 1 voodoo is doing well man. It consumes about 1qt every 1k miles, but thankfully nothing has gone boom boom haha. I’ve heard that’s a way to tell, but I check my oil level at least once every 250 miles or so

A better title would be "Driver skills make the difference" The dragon is more of a skills challenge than who's car is faster. I've ridden it several times on my motorcycle. It is EXTREMELY dangerous to cross the double yellow line, especially for motorcyclists. Car or bike, the key is to ride your own ride and don't push past your abilities. Also, exercise driver/rider etiquette and pull to the side for faster traffic to pass. That driver in the EVO is pushing past their capabilities as a driver. Not the car's fault.
Evo driver probably not as skilled and/or doesn't know the road well. In any case, I think you acted very maturely giving him the space he needs. Later I feel he realized where he's at compared to where you are at, so he pulled over and let you pass.

Busy that weekend man but hope to see you soon! I saw you did one of the Mustang runs with Red Mirror Events. You should do the 2024 Shelby Mountain Run! We had so much fun this past week/weekend during the Shelby mtn run. Spots are filling up fast, over 50% of the spots are filled

What about crossing yellow in a visible turn with no oncoming traffic ?
What’s the point? Almost anytime you cross it there’s more risk of something going wrong. What if it’s a mostly visible turn so you cross the yellow and then a biker comes out of nowhere in the oncoming? Also, I’ve heard this argument even when it’s clear that the turn is blind
