    I was listening to this as I did something else. She started talking about the “wide shoes” trope and I’m like seriously? people want a romance with someone who wears wide shoes?!? Finally figured out it was “why choose” and not “wide shoes”.

    Lady of Darkness is also so good for the ‘found family’ trope! I would say for the ‘Love Triangle’ trope, Lightlark.

    Oooh for love triangle - Road of Bones was great! I was like wait, what is going on? Why am I kind of liking both of these men? It’s a Viking inspired fantasy romance with a found family trope and it’s just so good ❤

    I really like the third book in the Spiders Mate trilogy better than the second book

    I don't think I've seen you mention this series before, but the Five Crowns of Okrith hits a few of these tropes too, since the series focuses on different main character couples across 5 books. Notably it has a lost heir (book 1) and rejected fated mates (book 5). It also has disability rep with an autistic MC (book 4) and an MC who lost a leg in an accident (book 5). It's LGBTQ+ and diverse in a way that I have not seen in any other romantasy series.

    I loved Before I Let Go! I still need to read the second book. But I am very excited for the movie. I bet the movie will be great. I’ve had A King So Cold on my wish list for a while now. I may have to pick it up in August. It sounds so good. I would love to see more book recs of fantasy romance that no one is talking about. I know you did a video of underrated books before but I would love to see you do more of it. I’m always looking for more super underrated book recs.

    All were chef’s kiss perfect
    My favorite Nina G Jones is Take Me with You (captor/ captive. Unhinged / morally grey hero)

    Do you have to read the Shadow and Bone series before the Six of Crows duology, or can you just read it on its own?

    • @HonestFiction
      @HonestFiction  Před měsícem

      You can read it on its own! I’ve had a lot of friends read the duology without ever reading Shadow & Bone and they still rated it 5 stars!

    What is "omegaverse"? 🤔

    • @HonestFiction
      @HonestFiction  Před měsícem +2

      I had no idea how to define it so I looked up the Wikipedia definition 😅: “Omegaverse, also known as A/B/O (an abbreviation for "alpha/beta/omega"), is a subgenre of speculative fiction: the premise is that a dominance hierarchy exists in humans, which are divided into dominant "alphas", neutral "betas", and submissive "omegas".[1] This hierarchy determines how people interact with one another in romantic context.
      * I hope that made sense, I still don’t fully understand it lol
