I’m so glad that you were able and to make it out there. Your question was great, and one of the better ones asked. It was really nice that he spent time answering it and giving some insight too. It’s also great to hear a feet on the ground observation of how AK’s game is right now. Thanks for being that to us. I really can’t wait to see the documentary about him. You can tell from his conversations that he’s gone down a very bad path and has lived to tell the story.

Your channel has become one of my favorites recently. You cover everything all us golf "nerds" want to hear lol. I'm also glad you appreciate this journey AK is on. It's been really disappointing to see so much negativity from so many people on social media in regards to his return. I personally have been through a lot of really tough times similar to what he has. Seeing him turn his life around and do it on this kind of stage in front of the world, is about as inspirational as you can get.

Another good POD and insight. I listened to the presser with AK yesterday and laughed when I heard you ask the question. I came away for his answers feeling for him and what he went through. Obviously we don't know the details. I for one put down the bottle 10 yrs ago and it really made me think. He is on the right track and I am praying for him.

We serve a GOD of second chances !!! Anthony Kim is so very lucky and is living this second chance very humbly . He’s been humbled and it shows . I’m pulling for him !! Hope they give him at least a season to snap out of it and play at high level . The fact that it seems like most of liv venues are at major conditions or close to it , makes it very difficult to jump in and float above water !!! Then throw in the massive talent he’s playing against ?? It’s crazy

wow.. you called it perfectly, matt. Because of anthony's tee ball (a bit wild,trouble finding fairway..) he really struggled in Miami..(high scores).. At least now Anthony knows what to work on now, for next Liv event..
Just adding this: I do like A.K's go for broke putting style: meaning in Hong kong he rarely left any putt short. He usually guns every putt 2 feet past the hole.. I think its a great attitude. The old adage 99.99 % of putts left short of the hole never go in..He WILL win on Liv, but in order for this to happen, He has to get that tee ball under control and hit more fairways. Once thats done. Look out.
In AK's responce to your question about the belt buckle, do you think his answer about version 2.0 might be a reference to HIM being 2.0, a modest family guy, not a flashy young guy that he previously was, so no more flashy belt buckles. Love your work Matt
AKs story and his return to golf is one of the great sports stories. His voice and honesty is so compelling. He could become one of the great motivational speakers on drugs and pro sports.

The thing with people not even giving the guy a chance cos he went to LIV just baffles me. Takes many tournaments to get back into the grind. He’s not playing well but there’s so much room for improvement. If I was him I would take the LIV route aswell. Get back into it and then if you can get it going then people will want to follow you jo matter what league you’re playing

Read somewhere that he played with off the rack clubs the first two tournaments, but was going to get fitted prior to this tournament. Did you notice an equipment change ?

I think he finishes in the top 25 this week. That 65 was a huge step imo but it’s time to start putting a tournament together.

Very interesting character and story for sure. What I would like to ask him is how much golf did he play on average over those lost 12 years and hear about the day that he is now all in and how did the practice to get back to the top start. And what I mean by the top is actually getting out there with these top guys in golf

Anthony’s game is showing a little rust as expected. The one exception is his short game and putting, still world class. I feel his putter is going to get him to achieve his goals. I’m very curious if he is or will be employing a swing coach. I was hoping he would get a little more into detail on equipment. What is his impression of the golf ball a decade later? Has or is he being fitted? Is he being courted by any manufacturers? Matt if you have any info please let us know these details.
We all know what's on everyone's mind when it comes to AK. It's not so much his game but what happened to his face. Just gotta wait til the documentary comes out.
Anthony said he basically didn’t touch a club until he started playing with his wife, but there are documented instances in 2016 from the University of Oklahoma where he played in one of their fund raiser events and other events in Dallas. He said he had no clue Koepka won back to back US Opens, yet he tweeted about betting on Mickelson in 2018 when playing Tiger in the “Match”. There were so many things in this interview that were not believable. Has anyone confirmed that the insurance policy ever existed?
If he was living a life of addiction, he could of been doing lots of stuff he has very little memory of today
The addiction part is definitely true, but there are past Oklahoma players that can confirm he was at the course on a # of different occasions, as well as other courses and playing in Dallas. Just seems no reason to lie about things like that.
I met him a couple of times and watched him play his last round of college golf in Sunriver. That day was interesting, he left the group he was with and played the last hole by himself.
