Novak Djokovic = calendar slam 2023!🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🇷🇸
🐐🐐🐐🐐
Tesko. Mislim da mu je zadnja i najbolja sansa za to bila 2021.
J lol
unfortunately too old for that
Dude, if he pulls off a calendar slam in 2023, forget about any questions of who the greatest tennis player of all time is, we will have factual proof he is an alien.
On paper, I think Alcaraz has got to be the favorite here. He's got the firepower to keep Novak off balance and hit him off the court. He's got the speed to play defense and, at least as far as we've seen in previous tourneys, he can play long matches no problem. But, Novak is Novak. He will grind and go the distance. Ultimately, should be a great match.
EDIT: Welp. Novak was Novak. The match did not go the way I thought it would - but "on paper" is always very different from "in actuality"!!! Congrats to Novak for his win :)
You said it. Novak is Novak. Different animal in slams.
Novak is 36, the older he gets the better he used to be!
I mean Alcaraz is very impressive (he is the future, no doubt in that)…..but again like they did with Nadal he also is the media’s favorite, aside from the actual tennis game, thats already a big boost if everyone is on your side; everything you do off and on the court gets differently assesed, but i think Novak in the semis is a truly different ballgame than Tsitsipas was in the quarter-final; you saw the worst Tsitsipas ever against the best Alcaraz ever; unlikely that Novak will be run over by Alcaraz the way it occured to Tsisipas…but we will see. Aside the clay season Novak has still a very good chance to win both Wimbledon and US Open… and maybe an aussie open in 2024, soo i think the big three will never be overtaken by these youngsters. They had the same superlatives on Tsitsipas and Berettini (future if tennis, and so on..) a few years gone by and both still need to win their first slam…..i hope for an excitement game. Enjoy !
@@tarahairbeauty "Novak Djokovic Moves to the Precipice of Tennis Supremacy" - The New York Times and many other news outlets/websites are posting similar statements. If only any of them had some balls to dig into all of 2022 up to right now, currently, and check to see if any top 100 ATP (and WTA for Iga) players have been Paid Off, Bribed, to lose to Novaq. This is a possibility because those with power or money, namely White people (gamblers and other filthy rich people), want to see The White man pass all the records (I can't wait for idiots to say "Rafael is white..." because I have a LOT of evidence on how the Spanish/Latino name and/or people are generally held down and hated) in women's and men's. All the ITF, ATP AND Others have to do is check those players' bank accounts, cell records, internet records (including public computers) and even pay phones. They can do this. If they don't, Novaq, even thought he MAY not be aware of the cheating, is no legit champion since sometime in 2022 through now. I have seen the matches, and Novaq has not displayed anything special the past two years, yet players who could have beaten him either did not, or lost too easily. Some players go on to praise Novaq yet it seems they were Paid to say that. Players have made too many errors against hom, errors they otherwise would not have made in other matches. This is why I question Novaqs wins since 2022. Rafael is GOAT by default.
Going to be a HUGE match!!
I bought so many snacks...
A bit too big for Carlito.
Novak is special!!!
Novak is the legend of tennis, Carlos time is coming, there is a big age difference and we can just enjoy until Novak decides to retire, because he is the last Mohican of the best generation ever in tennis. One fact is unbelievable, no tennis player born after Novak has won any of the first 3 Grand slam tournaments. That is the greatness of Novak and Rafa, their AO final 2012 had the best level of thennis ever for me.
That is a great observation! This unbelievable dominance in Grand Slams has only been breached in the US Open. The least Big 4 dominant Grand Slam, even though still pretty dominant. The Big 4 streak (not quite a streak because it was broken a couple of times) in the US Open started with Roger in 2004. The ones that "broke in" were: Del Potro (2009), Cilic (2014), Wawrinka (2016). It ended with Rafa in 2019. The last 3 US Open were won by others (Thiem, Medvedev and Alcaraz).
The real Big 4 streak has been In Wimbledon: no other man out of the Big 4 has won it since 2003 (Federer's first win there). It is as if that trophy belongs only to the men noble enough to hold it, once it is a kind of a sacred temple of tennis.
In Roland Garros and Australian Open it is a similar story, but here it is the Big 3 dominance (Murray never won either of those). The long streak started in 2005 with Nadal in Roland Garros and in 2006 in the Australian Open with Roger (though he had won 2004 but Safin won 2005 down under). The only person to breach the dominance in the first two Slams of the year is Stan Wawrinka (2014 AO and 2015 RG).
i feel like i’m being prepped to watch a UFC fight. this match is everywhere 🤣

That would be a huge shock lol

Maybe , it can happen if Alcaraz is too stressed
That would be boring
Nole is the most eloquent player!
Am I the only one sitting here just impressed by Djokovic's English?
Never doubt Nole. He plays his best when needed. Djokovic will suffocate Alcarez with deep penetrating ground strokes which will lead Alcarez to make forced and unforced erros. Djokovic will win.
Спасибо за веру в Новака. Помощи ему Божьей, везения , удачи, здоровья ! 🙏🙏🙏
А У Алькараса всё будет. Он молодой, перспективный, крепкий.
as if alcaraz cant do that.
Alcraz is too fast for aged Nole and this must be kept in mind.
I believe Alcaraz will win. He is faster and hits harder. But you never know. If Novak rais his game, he can win. From what we have seen so far Alcaraz must be considered the fauvourite. He really schooled Tsitsipas
@@pallethekingkong can you please say that again? 😂😂😂

This more for tennis fans than the players who is going to win comes second just seat back and enjoy plenty of great points . Gl and thank both
As an old time Federer fan, I have always been routing for him against Nadal and Djokovic. And when it was about the GS record, I will admit I have at times been routing against them so that my idol would remain on top. That didn't happen, unfortunately for Federer and his fans, like me ... BUT
I have never understood why Nadal or Djokovic met with so much dislike from either Federer fans or the opposite Djodal fans. Nadal's run in RG will likely remain an unbeaten record for years to come and his 22 GS, in the face of the trivalry and some injuries, is nothing short of remarkable. For Djokovic to equal it, despite his own adversities - which he inflicted on himself but always accepting the consequences of his decisions - is equally amazing, and I believe he will surpass Nadal this year.
Moreover, both Nadal and Djokovic have been great sportsmen off court, respectful towards each other and the rest of the field. There may have been a few exceptions - Nadal didn't appreciate Soderling's demeanor at the time. Djokovic was a bit salty towards de Minaur lately - but that pales in comparison to the many encounters and press conferences where they radiated the kind of gentlemanship Djokovic puts on display here again.
Djokovic in this video acknowledges the same greatness in Alcaraz, a beast on court, a humble person when interviewed. He knows he won't blast the youngster off the court and he won't crack him mentally.
For Alcaraz to say "I want to play Djokovic when he's 100%" shows he's cut out of the finest cloth. That's the stuff great athletes are made of. No fear, no desire to get it easily, only the joy of battling it out with the toughest possible opponent.
I must pick Carlos. He is absolutely phenomenal and so good for this sport. Nole is already one of the greats, and will battle Carlos till the end. It should be a blast.

Its great seeing Novak talk about a player he knows is capable of beating anybody when he puts his mind to it. He’s fearless (haven’t seen that since Lukas Rosol bt Nadal Wimbledon) and knows how to follow it up. Lukas didn’t . The respect is great to see. Alcaraz is thoroughly enjoying his tennis and it shows. I imagine RG will go to who wants it more and of course who can stay focused on the day… either way it works
The reporter really love to twist story

muhamad ali vs george foreman
djokovic vs alcaraz
Ronaldo vs Mbappé? In which era has that been the rivalry?
Hope they play on hard courts and grass soon. On clay Alcatraz has the edge, but really want to see it on grass/hard court.
Actually I expect him to have even more of the edge on grass. On hard court I expect Djokovic to take at least one more slam.
@@knotwilg3596 not right now because he has a longer wind up for his strokes. He's a better slow court player. Ppl mistake fast shots for being better at fast courts. It's more about how flat you play and the quickness of the stroke. Example Stan is bad at grass.

Djokovic can beat Alcaraz at this rate:
1) The groundstroke must be ready to shoot at least 42 strokes to get 1 point (15 points), you don't have to be on the edge of the line, just 3 meters from Alcaraz, the important thing is to be consistent and not out or net, the ball must also be deep and try to go backhand, because his forhand dropshoot is very deceptive, sometimes it seems as if his forhand is flat, don't know forhand dropshoot.
2) Standing position, don't go too far from the back line, just 30cm so that if there is a drop shoot, you can still go to the front of the net.
3) Thinking about the return serve, the important thing is to enter and not be killed by your opponent, then you are invited to have a long rally.
4) Let's just say this is a final, so you have to be mentally prepared to play 5 sets or 4.30 hours. Furthermore, no athlete is invincible, there must be bad days.
5) Djokovic must focus on his first serve, his presentation must be at least 70% in, and his serve must be to the side of the court line or hard to kill

this reporter obviously doesn't know anything about tennis.. alcaraz might be good .. but he still needs to win 22 grand slams to show he's really better than nadal or novak or even roger .. even though i'm for djokovic i'm rather sceptical if he can beat alcaraz because of his movement on the court .. he moves better and takes the ball earlier from the beginning .. novak needs at least a set to get into the rhythm .. but 1.5 sets like against khachanov might be too late this time .. let's see .. novak always has an adequate game plan, but sometimes he's just not there at all
