I love Queen and Freddie Mercury has the best singing voice of all time. No one can touch him! The best line in that song is "200 degrees, that's why they call me Mr. Fahrenheit!"

I was in the 3rd grade when Queen released A Night at the Opera. My big brother let me sit in his room and listen to it over and over reading the lyrics over and over while singing along.
This band was and is such a mind blowing revelation. It's an event that happens to you and transforms. Freddy's words and vocals take you from the darkest depths to the most ecstatic heights. It's is absolutely thrilling and never gets old. I'm telling you 45 years later, every time is the first time.
Such a pleasure witnessing this happen to you.
And that is just the listening experience. Watching the greatest front man of all time perform these exquisite songs. . .

Kudos to Dr. Brian May. The Rocket Scientist. One of the Greatest Rock guitarists to ever live. Everyone talks so much about Fred bc he's so great but don't forget that ALL the band members were geniuses. A dentist, a rocket scientist, and an engineer backed him up.

Freddie absolutely murders the Vocals on this track, definitely one of my Queen Favorites that I listen to on a daily basis. I grew up listening to only Hip Hop and got hooked on Queen a few years ago and still hooked till this day. Dont waste your time trying to find another band like them, they dont exist!

  • @tsukigalleta

Freddie is known as the best lead singer ever, but the rest of the band are no less. The three of them are at the top 5 in the list in their respective categories (Roger as drum player, Brian as guitar player and Deaky as bass player). Not to mention Queen is the only band in history with at least one hit song written by each member of the group. Not even the Beatles achieved that.
This song appears in the movie because Rami Malek (the actor who plays Freddie) likes it so much that he didn't stop until he made them include it :D
    Thank you, great reaction!!

If I understood correctly two of the guys MET at Julliard at some point (visiting I guess?) and someone took that as if they met while ATTENDING julliard and that sparked a rumour... or something to that extent.
Ive already been informed this is incorrect and Ive corrected myself where I could find any similar posts of mine.
This one slipped through the cracks.
      Anyway, apologies.
I had no intention of spreading false information. I shouldve double checked ofc but if you dont know and hear this its not very unbelievable, musical masters as they are/were, so I never actaully considered maybe it wasnt true.

Okay, I'm hooked on your reaction videos. I have been listening to Queen since the 1970s, yeah I'm that old. Watching other people react to Queen for the first time is as close as I'll ever get now to the excitement I once experienced myself since watching my grandchildrens reactions. 2 years ago for my granddaughter's 12 birthday she got to choose her present, and she made us proud she chose concert tickets. So my granddaughter, my daughter and I all went to see Queen with Adam Lambert at the Xfinity center. There we were, 3 generations, each knowing every single word to every single song rocking out with 20,000 other people. When the stage lit up and the music started I looked at her face and she had tears streaming down her face, the experience was everything we hoped for. I consider that parenting done right.

Built his manifest guitar which he still uses. They were all college graduates.

I love that they showed this video at the end of the movie. BTW: Freddie is wearing a Mineshaft tank under his jacket. Mineshaft was a New York gay bar known for its BDSM sex club.

Yeah, although Freddie never came out to the public officially it's not like he was closeted when he was older (30+), those around him knew he slept with men and he's even joked about it in interviews. But still, these were the days before social media (or the internet), and his sexuality wasn't really well-known to the public, so people say he was closeted. If social media had existed back then I'm sure Freddie would have been constantly making the headlines, since he enjoyed being outrageous. :)

Brighton Rock please. It's not a single. That will be a good test of how much you like this band. Push yourself.
I remember hearing Brian say he thought it was a silly song and didn't like Dont Stop Me Now, then was surprised by how popular it became. He changed his mind on it, I think.

I would recommend some cool behind the scenes stuff about Queen - there's a short video about why Freddie was so unique as a front man, "The Secrets Behind Freddie Mercury's Voice" and a very interesting breakdown of Bohemian Rhapsody with guitarist Brian May called "Inside Bohemian Rhapsody." I think only part 3 is available for some reason but it is still worth a watch. For more information about the band, I recommend "A Kind of Magic" by Mark Blake, which is a great biography and was published only two years ago.
