I love Queen and Freddie Mercury has the best singing voice of all time. No one can touch him! The best line in that song is "200 degrees, that's why they call me Mr. Fahrenheit!"
I was in the 3rd grade when Queen released A Night at the Opera. My big brother let me sit in his room and listen to it over and over reading the lyrics over and over while singing along.
This band was and is such a mind blowing revelation. It's an event that happens to you and transforms. Freddy's words and vocals take you from the darkest depths to the most ecstatic heights. It's is absolutely thrilling and never gets old. I'm telling you 45 years later, every time is the first time.
Such a pleasure witnessing this happen to you.
And that is just the listening experience. Watching the greatest front man of all time perform these exquisite songs. . .
Kudos to Dr. Brian May. The Rocket Scientist. One of the Greatest Rock guitarists to ever live. Everyone talks so much about Fred bc he's so great but don't forget that ALL the band members were geniuses. A dentist, a rocket scientist, and an engineer backed him up.
One of the best drummers. One of the best bassist. One of the best guitarist. (who also has a doctorate in astrophysics). All with a legendary singer.
Freddie absolutely murders the Vocals on this track, definitely one of my Queen Favorites that I listen to on a daily basis. I grew up listening to only Hip Hop and got hooked on Queen a few years ago and still hooked till this day. Dont waste your time trying to find another band like them, they dont exist!
Freddie is known as the best lead singer ever, but the rest of the band are no less. The three of them are at the top 5 in the list in their respective categories (Roger as drum player, Brian as guitar player and Deaky as bass player). Not to mention Queen is the only band in history with at least one hit song written by each member of the group. Not even the Beatles achieved that.
This song appears in the movie because Rami Malek (the actor who plays Freddie) likes it so much that he didn't stop until he made them include it :D
Thank you, great reaction!!
[Edit]
Due to a misconception I was under the impression the members of Queen attended Julliard, this Ive been informed was not actually the case, hence this Edited post.
Apologies.
@@F1rstWorldNomaD What are you talking about? Musical geniuses yes, But none of them went to Julliard.
@@Fakeaorta yeah, appearently there were some misinformtion floating around.
If I understood correctly two of the guys MET at Julliard at some point (visiting I guess?) and someone took that as if they met while ATTENDING julliard and that sparked a rumour... or something to that extent.
Ive already been informed this is incorrect and Ive corrected myself where I could find any similar posts of mine.
This one slipped through the cracks.
Anyway, apologies.
I had no intention of spreading false information. I shouldve double checked ofc but if you dont know and hear this its not very unbelievable, musical masters as they are/were, so I never actaully considered maybe it wasnt true.
My bad.
Edit;
Just noticed you posted this 3 weeks ago O_o! Wierd I didnt get a notification back then but I got one for the latest poston this thread just now, which was totaly unrelated to my post... but it led me to find this, so its all good I guess xD
The Beatles did in fact achieve that. Ringo original songs in the repertoire were ,Don't Pass Me By' and 'Octopus's Garden. Harrison had twenty. McCarty and Lennon you know.
Yep I agree! I love the slower version they did at the end of the movie
I seen a great quote the other day I’d love to share - “Next time you feel like you aren’t good at something just remember Freddie Mercury thought he was an amateur piano player.”
You can tell that Freddie doesn't have to force the beauty of his voice. He's a natural, eyes closed and enjoying himself. I also play piano, sometimes with my eyes closed. The music takes you away...
This song was voted "The Greatest Driving Song Ever" by viewers of the BBC show Top Gear. :D
Completely agree! Every time I listen to this song in my car, I turn it up, sing my heart and I may go a little over the speed limit! The point is, this is my all time favorite feel good song... And my karaoke song!
Yes..its just recent...Queen is simply the best!!!
Hahaha I’d kill myself driving to this track. It’s a great track for training and just feeling good!
What amazes me most about Queen is that every listen of their work leads to a deeper understanding of how precise and crazy talented they were!
thanks for focusing on the whole band! 4 of the most talented musicians who ever took a stage.
You're by FAR my favorite reactor, love the research stuff :)
Yep, the only one I’ve subscribed to.
Totally agree!
While I know EVERYTHING about Queen, but I do enjoy that he researches everything.
Me too! Makes me happy to see the joy spreading out
Best ever. I have had my own little journey with him.
Freddie could take his voice anywhere he wanted, switching it up, down, it didn’t matter. He was vocally gifted. He has been one of the most recognizable voices in music history.
Okay, I'm hooked on your reaction videos. I have been listening to Queen since the 1970s, yeah I'm that old. Watching other people react to Queen for the first time is as close as I'll ever get now to the excitement I once experienced myself since watching my grandchildrens reactions. 2 years ago for my granddaughter's 12 birthday she got to choose her present, and she made us proud she chose concert tickets. So my granddaughter, my daughter and I all went to see Queen with Adam Lambert at the Xfinity center. There we were, 3 generations, each knowing every single word to every single song rocking out with 20,000 other people. When the stage lit up and the music started I looked at her face and she had tears streaming down her face, the experience was everything we hoped for. I consider that parenting done right.
I have the Queen II album on CD that I still listen to in the car. Don't Stop Me Now is one of my absolute favorites.
This is my 17 year old sons favorite Queen song. We all sing it in the car. We love Queen.
Superb! 🎶💯🔥💗 One of my favorite songs by Queen. Freddie was a consumer performer. Incredible vocal range. A most excellent concert. Queen! 💝
So amazing! I personally think Freddie was at his prime here. He looks so healthy and he never sounded better. I love the lyrics and you certainly can't sit still....
6:57 Don't know if someone's already suggested it, but Roger's drum solo in Montreal 1981 is amazing
How wonderful it is to see Queen to get their dues for their talent from people that were not born yet or were mere babies when these masterpieces were first released. Thank you so, so much!
200 degrees, that why they call me Mr. Farenheit!!!
Brilliant lyric!
It wasn't only Freddie's vocal ability but the whole band's vocal abilities with their harmonies is just crazy. Not too many band can do that together, especially in today's music.
I am so thankful to you - Mathew Family - and other first time viewers. I was a teenager when Queen was at their peak. Because I was a teenager, I didn’t respect the talent of not only Freddie, but Brian, Roger & John. Now seeing it through your eyes, it’s like wow. Why didn’t I realize this before. Oh well. Thank goodness for CZcams, CDs, and even vinyl (which I still have). Thank you for showing me what I missed the first time around 💜💜
Anybody else here cant get this song out of your head after hearing it? Singing it all day even when I tell myself to stop doing it. “Dont stop me now, we are having such a good time, we are having a ball”...........repeat, repeat...... 🤗
I'm In Love With My Car - Hammersmith 1979. Roger rules the vocals and drums in that song, give it a reaction. Thanks for this one too, amazing song.
I was just about to write in the comments to view that exact video for Rogers Drumming.
Yes, please!
I prefer the Montreal 81 version - better audio. Plus the Killer Queen intro is AWESOME.
@@walover165 For me that version is okay, but his voice sounds a lot more warn and croaky. It is still beautifully sung but I believe the 1979 version is better. Thanks for your reply :).
RIP 1991 Freddie you will always be missed but you left us your God given talent. He began singing Opera before Queen.
Roger Taylor plays drums like a firecracker .I love Queen for 44 years and I love this song.
Soooo Happy you love Freddie!!! I absolutely adore him ❤️❤️❤️
Every band from the 70s aged well. The most creative time in music..
Nothing short of AMAZING!!!! Long live Freddie ❤️❤️❤️
Great review on this video...this song is one of my favorite's....Freddie's passion and range is amazing...they're all sensational performers! Long live Freddie and Queen!
Of those 350 mil plays of this song on Spotify, I bet I'm at least responsible for a thousand of them. Easily.
I love your enthusiasm for Queen. I am an 87 yr old woman who found Queen after seeing the movie and I have spent 3 or 4 hours every day listening to their music their interviews and all the interesting things about their lives. You had asked how old Freddie would have been. He was born in Sept 1946 and died.in November 1991. He has had an asteroid named after him. Brian is an astrophysicist and has written several books. Built his manifest guitar which he still uses. They were all college graduates.
Nan, Lamar did over 75 Queen videos, just search TMG FAM, QUEEN. Including one on his final days
The Matthews Fam, welcome to the Queen Family, it’s for life you know!
What a great reaction of this song you gave, The Matthews Fam!!!
I just love it.... The make my ''Queen-Heart'' warm!
From a hardcore Queen-fan from Norway
Such a positive and nice song. Man they are so special. If you hear the voice 1 second, you know it's awesome and from Freddie and if you hear the e-guitar, you know it aswell! Awesome sound
Enjoyed your reaction, excellent piece from the legendary Freddy!
He's amazing ❤️ We miss you...fly high😔
5hank you for playing this, one of my favourites, Freddie & the boys are so amazing their music will live forever 😘
A Kind Of Magic, Tear It Up, Hammer To Fall, Breakthru, Headlong, Princes Of The Universe, many of their great later tracks.
However if you want to go old skool, try Keep Yourself Alive, Tie Your Mother Down, The March Of The Black Queen, Seven Seas Of Rhye, Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy, Liar, Stone Cold Crazy. Yeah the list of great Queen tracks goes on, you have a long way to go friend!
Yes, yes and yes to them all!!!
Haha, you already did Love of My Life. I really appreciate the detail you ad to your Queen reactions!
I have to say I've just found these reactions and I love watching you. I'm 30 and I've been brought up on Queen, my mum used to have it blasting out around the house and Queen is my favourite band, Freddie my favourite singer and this being my all time favourite song
This is the best song to clean your house to. I swear I can get my house clean super fast and super well while listening to this song.
I’m a diehard Queen fan! This song is my “get ready for the day” song lol. I love watching your videos! Thank you for making these videos! I appreciate the fact you do the research and review the lyrics! No hate to other CZcamsr’s who do react videos. Most of them are just them watching the video and be like “That was really cool” lol. You go in depth and you really show excitement and truth. Again, thank you! ☺️
Love your videos on queen mate, they've been my favourite band since I was little. Really love seeing people see their stuff for the first time. Especially like how you loved the drummer, hes proper sick at drums and has an excellent voice too.
Love it! Can't hardly believe you haven't seen Queen at Live Aid yet! Prepare to have your mind blown!!
Queens music makes you FEEL it...you go through so many emotions, the lyrics
I love love your reaction. You are the best. I.love Freddie and queen so much. I am 67 and i just love them. I listen everyday to queen..
The best song to work out to. , Agree. Musical, lyrical magicians. Not a bad song out there and each one is totally different from the last. Icons
This song is such an injection of excitement... One of my favorite from the band.
I LOVE watching you enjoy Queen as I still do. Keep it up PLEASE!
1980’s Fat Bottom Girl from Old HB, NYC
High FIVE queen fans awesome video i love that song 👍
Brian May got a big smile listening to Roger on those drums, just watch him
Freddie Mercury is considered to be the best frontman for one of the greatest rock bands in history! Love your reaction
I'm an Aries: this song is ME! Usually I'm Let's goooooo. :) Love this song.
Queen is so amazing bc they are each exceptionally talented. Each person wrote a number one single. That is incredible. I love them all so much.
That was an awesome display by Roger Taylor on the drums, msn they are all so talented!
Love your reaction! Mine every time I hear it! This song was voted scientifically to be the top song to make you feel good! It is! 🎤🎵🎸 Love the big screen and the chair! Rock on my man! 👊
I recommend you little gentle piece from their begginings - White Queen (live at the Hammersmith Odeon) - its superb tune, believe me. LIVE VERSION, don't forget!!
Yep...the solo is just legendary
Agree, this is such a great version. I’ve been listening to it a lot lately, early Queen. czcams.com/video/f8usNj4x9NA/video.html
The best of the best!! My favourite version and my favourite song!! I love his costume and the champagne as well, but the sharpness of his voice in this version with the piano and the guitar solo are stellar!
Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy on Top of the Pops is also legendary ...
6:39 someone finally appreciates Rogers drumming skills😂👏🏼🥺
if you like the way roger plays the drums, you should definitely check out Keep Yourself Alive - Live. he does a killer drum solo
React to fat bottomed girls by Queen, Freddie singing about big booties before it was cool
Hells yeah!
It was originally to be "hammock boys" but that was going to be too obviously gay
@@mandarinlearner Yeah, nothing wrong with gay, but it just wasn't accepted at the time and would do a number on Queen's reputation.
@@mandarinlearner You do know this song was written by Brian May who is not at all gay. I have been a life long Queen fan and have never once heard it said this was going to be "Hammock boys" so if you have a source please share it.
The entire album, A Night at the Opera baby! The entire album.
Don’t stop me now is my favorite song ever!! It easily gets me energized and wanna dance! It’s the quintessential Queen song displaying all of their abilities
It is SO HARD to believe that Freddie considered himself just an Amateur Pianists...⁉⁉ 🎶🎹🎶 WOW‼‼ Unbelievable knowing that is what he thought of his Piano Skills...‼‼ 😮 He was AMAZINGLY TALENTED‼‼
🎶 “don’t stop me now...” 🎶 and he proceeds to stop it 😆
Love it
Фредди это стиль и качество ! Лучший рок певец !
Great reactor! I've been a Queen fan since 1991 (10 months before Freddie's death when I first listen to them) and it's amazing to see how you are growing into a Queen fan yourself. I'd recommend Dead on Time from the album Jazz. Big hug!
Good Guys Queen: they are having such a good time- wants you to give them a call.
"No-One But You (Only the Good Die Young)" It was dedicated to Freddie and all those who die too soon. This was also the last recording to feature bass guitarist John Deacon, who subsequently retired from public life. This was the last original Queen release.
Keep up the great work . I grew up with Queen and saw them 4 different times ! Please do "The Miracle" official video , kids as Queen,
and "Who Wants To Live Forever" Official Video Freddie in a Tux with Orchestra .
JEALOUS!!! 🐧🐧🐧🐧
I agree with Cate Malone. I really like that you look up the back story of each song. Very different from other « reaction « videos. Subscribed! 😊
This has got to be one of my all time favorites.
Great reaction! So nice to see someone who has an open mind and clearly a taste for good music. Respect to you sir.
I recommend Crazy little thing called love by Queen and The song in my defense by Queen
You mean "In my defense" by Freddie Mercury solo. Great song, nice montage video. I recommend it too.
Hahaha if that song didn’t get your feet tapping.. you may dead!
Freddie had a beautiful voice. Not just rock but anything
Great song! Check out drummer Roger Taylor on lead vocals on the live video called. Queen - I'm In Love With My Car - Hammersmith 1979 (clean up)
Great video love them
Queen - A winters tale..great song
Loving your reactions to Queen!
I love that they showed this video at the end of the movie. BTW: Freddie is wearing a Mineshaft tank under his jacket. Mineshaft was a New York gay bar known for its BDSM sex club.
Yeah, although Freddie never came out to the public officially it's not like he was closeted when he was older (30+), those around him knew he slept with men and he's even joked about it in interviews. But still, these were the days before social media (or the internet), and his sexuality wasn't really well-known to the public, so people say he was closeted. If social media had existed back then I'm sure Freddie would have been constantly making the headlines, since he enjoyed being outrageous. :)
Lara I don’t know why I teared up reading this comment haha.
I'm loving watching him loving Queen
I really appreciate your reactions to Queen. I can say that you really listen to their songs, to lyrics, you feel the music... and that's great. you are an amazing reactor ^.^
Your reactions are entertaining, respectful, and funny, just great that you are enjoying Queen and Freddie. My favorite channel
You should react to Queen Your my Best Friend! It's such a lovely song and definitely another good song representing the bands adaptability to different sounds! One of my personal favorite songs ever!
LOVE your reaction to Roger Taylor on the drums!!
That drum part is my favorite part of this song 😀
This was also officially voted as the happiest song ever
Brighton Rock please. It's not a single. That will be a good test of how much you like this band. Push yourself.
I remember hearing Brian say he thought it was a silly song and didn't like Dont Stop Me Now, then was surprised by how popular it became. He changed his mind on it, I think.
durban, awesome recommendation.for forty plus years i've been a queen nut and Brighton Rock is without a doubt one of the most stellar pieces of sonic/audio experience you could have.
L?!? I absolutely LOVE 💗 your reactions on your reaction Videos!!! I enjoy your openness and honesty!!! 👍😃😄😊😉🙂✌
I just found you, this is my pump song, I LOVE hitting a trail or going to the gym with this song being one of the first in my playlist. Love yer channel, love yer break-downs!
Please watch Live in Wembley 86 !! They start out with One Vision, and I love another one bites the dust and under pressure on there as well 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
lOVE YOUR REACTION!!! FREDDIE HAS A GREAT VOICE!
4:35 -- Roger Taylor on drums... Very underrated player and often ignored by reviewers ...
I'm so happy u noticed roger's drum playing!! :DD u should watch his drum solo in the montreal concert. he is FIRE!!
Freddy was such an amazing talent... His loss was tragic for so many reasons. Great music and the hits would have kept coming if he was still with us.
Love your format! Good sound for the music and a good view of the video. Great video!
I'm glad that u been recognizing the other members of the band, usually ppl focus on the lead singer
I would recommend some cool behind the scenes stuff about Queen - there's a short video about why Freddie was so unique as a front man, "The Secrets Behind Freddie Mercury's Voice" and a very interesting breakdown of Bohemian Rhapsody with guitarist Brian May called "Inside Bohemian Rhapsody." I think only part 3 is available for some reason but it is still worth a watch. For more information about the band, I recommend "A Kind of Magic" by Mark Blake, which is a great biography and was published only two years ago.
This used to be my ringtone :D (Now I have the March of the black Queen). The Jazz Album is soooooooo great
As a Queen fan .. Ur reaction is second to none .. Thnx x british soldier living Thailand i .. Bluky LMG ...
Queen has so many great songs it's unreal!! "Dragon Attack" is a thumping jam!! 👍 Just shows what great musicians they are on it!
