You can post blogs on wordpress but if you want to monetise your website, grow its traffic it must look professional e.g yourblog.com or yourblog.co.za instead of yourblog.wordpress.com. You can have a blog on blogger.com for free and buy a domain name so it looks more professional. Growing the blog and getting traffic is what will really teach you digital marketing skills.
