Hey man you look happy and that’s what makes me watch pure positivity from you I like it your all about doing what you like and you enjoy it and it’s always nice to see keep it up man.I’m 19 planning to lift my truck atleast an 8 inch left or maybe 6 inch lift.
Thank you Luis, and absolutely get out there and have fun with your truck man. My first truck I started with only a 3" body lift so I could clear some 35s. Its all about staying with it the budget at the time moving forward. The hard part is not over extending yourself having a build take way to long or money and then not being able to get out and enjoy it. Keep me posted on how your truck is coming.
@@PaperBeatsRock I will keep you posted forsure and yeah your right staying in the budget and being able to enjoy but not over due it to where it’s not able to be a daily so your right thanks for the advice
I love this truck man. Love seeing good ppl having fun. 🤘
Hell yes man. I love going out, having a good time and seeing smiles on peoples faces.
Just found this video. Love the enthusiasm.
I agree with you. Have seen way worse parking jobs in my local Walmart...LOL
dude for real. Pretty much any time i want to see a good show I just go down to the Walmart parking lot and wait hahaha
Hello brother, I like your truck, the tires are brutal 😎👍 I see your videos from Venezuela, hugs 🤗🤗
Welcome Felix. So glad your enjoying the videos man. Have a great day.
Steering gearbox must just be screaming 😂
"Need a ladder for your wife to go to work, THAT'S AWESOME!" - Classic Paper Beats Rock, love it!
bahaha dude stuff like this brings me so much joy.
It's smiles per gallon baby! Love it
Absolutely. This is 100% why we do it.
Have to get one of them 4 wheel steering kits. What a monster love it!!
50 smiles per mile!
🤣🤣🥰🥰
Dude 4 wheel steering would be amazing.
@@PaperBeatsRock you can do it! I have faith you can make it happen.
I’ve got pretty much the exact same truck..same color..6.0 with a TON of upgrades…. But 35 inch toyo’s… that does look like fun.. but too expensive for me… I’m done going crazy on mine… but it looks GREAT Man! Not much room to travel but man… it’s a beefy one!
Dude I got the same identical truck lol 2000 F350 same color but I have a total of 16 1/2 inch of lift with 37s on it for now. Love the 53s bro!!
Right on Goat. Yeah they are some badass trucks. We got a way more to go on her with upgrades but its all coming.
If the cops pull you over, just back up a few feet and say Goodbye! lol
haha yeah would make for a great video.
You all are awesome….. miss you
Love it! I agree with the wife. A ladder is a must. I have 5 different ladders for my 5 ton
This channels going to get big, I know it!
We are trying Greg. I love your motivation.
I just found your channel last week and I'm working my way through the videos. I'm enjoying the goofiness, sketchy stuff and fun you're obviously having. Not bad from a squid! Looking forward to more videos and maybe even learning a few things for my '88 F250 that's sitting in my garage waiting for a 351W!
Welcome aboard! I'm bastard child of the Navy. I'm a doc and spent my 11 years with the Marines. Spent my time pounding sand in Iraq and Afghanistan like so many others. You still doing BBQ? I love some good brisket.
@@PaperBeatsRock Oh man, it just gets worse. Another pecker-checker playing with cars?
Fellow doc here, spent my time running around Cherry Point and Camp Lejeune. I got out when their idea of "sea duty" was 2 1/2 years at Gitmo with the 24th MEU.
I still do barbecue but I don't have the wagon any more. But if you want to come over to Illinois and help me figure out some things with my truck I'll cook up a storm for you and share some really big lies about all the stuff I did in the Navy!
@@southstreetbarbecue7875 Oh shit. Lejeune was our home for 9 years. My very first deployment was in 2004 with the 24th MEU. Worst MEU ever. Never saw any ports or ships. Went to Cherry Point, Got on planes, Flew to kuwait, Convoyed to Iraq, spend 6 months there, convoyed back down and flew home lol.
Love that truck thanks for your awsome shares
Thank you so much for the motivation and watching the videos.
DAM RIGHT..take up 4 parking spaces👍🏿👍🏿, I can't wait to see the grocery get'r with 4 link suspension and a pair of 5 ton Rockwell's....don't forget to let the wifey drive the grocery get'r 🤙🏿🤙🏿
bahaha I need to see if I can fit it into a compact parking spot😆. You know I got plans for react videos of some family members driving it
It was good to see a little bit of Medford again. I was born and raised in the Rogue Valley. I do miss the mountains. Love the lifted truck. 😎👍
It looks like it’s turning pretty good on the streets to me.
It does pretty good but if I do have to do very tight turns you find the limitation very fast. With a few mods we will get a couple more degrees of turning.
The more I watch your videos the more I want 53s on my super duty. Also on xjs we fold the pinch welds over to get clearance without losing structure
Its crazy how much thing changed when running tires this big. Pot holes are no longer really a thing to worry about😄. It just glides over them like they are not even there. I didn't show it that much be we had folded over some of the pinch welds, lol and I totally learned that trick from the XJ community. Problem is that its just not enough and we are going to need to notch into the cab.
@@PaperBeatsRock Too bad I don't want to cut my body that much and still need to be able to tow a 5th wheel. Looks like notching is necessary then
You could get a little more fender clearance if you get portal axles
Good to see how happy it's makes you and everyone
I'm all about it. Having a good time and putting smiles on our faces.
I'm not a Ford fan but yours looks mighty fine
I was watching you pull into her work, and I thought to myself "Dang, that looks like Medford...". Sure enough! I'm over south of K-Falls.
Cool truck! 🤜💥🤛
Nothing but love for this build , ,,
He'll yes bud. Thank you so much for the support. This motivates the he'll out of me.
@@PaperBeatsRock I have F250 Diesel over 3,000 miles 7.3 I would love mine to look something like that but I do not have money or the exstra time , but at least I can see this build , nothing but love for this build
Brother I absolutely love the energy in your videos. I have a suggestion, at 11:10 or so in the video, you’re talking about the pinch weld. If you haven’t clearanced it yet, I’d suggest the cut and fold method. Guys with xj Cherokees do it a ton and it retains the structural rigidity of the pinch welds. A simple search on CZcams for “xj cut and fold” would get you all kinds of content showing how to do it. Keep up the good work and stay blessed brother 🤙🏼
Great suggestion! Ill take a look at this during the new axle swap.
@@PaperBeatsRock right on brother man. Watching the mrap video now as a matter of fact. Keep up the good work 🤙🏼
Built the Chick-Fil-A across the road there... lol
Right on man.
Love the truck!
🤘 Right on bud. Thank you so much.
I wanted to do the same thing back in 2000,it looks good man👍
Get some running boards off of a raptor would look really good if they are long enough. And safer for the wife
Ill look into the raptor running boards. I know we need to get something in place for her.
New subscriber from Grants pass love the build
Right on dude. I love seeing support and comments from people in the Rogue Valley.
That’s awesome
duuuude you live not to far from me! i just bought a 6.0 my self if you ever go offroading in the ashland area hit me up!!
I swear I am behind the stupid duty passing Central Point OSP station while the wife drives me around...
Hey bub I'm glad to see you out driving the stupid Duty I like that truck and it looks like the family does too..... thanks for the video keep up the good work
They are really enjoying it and the people around me that come up and look and talk about it. It really brings smiles to everyone's face.
@@PaperBeatsRock it's funny how the little things make us happy
Portal axles and body lift and you should be good with enough clearance
Awesome cool 🆒️ 😎 👍
Love the truck!! I believe I saw this somewhere, but I think pre-runner companies make fiberglass fenders that'll possibly have enough clearance for the tires. It won't help with the inner cab section of course but it'll make it even more of complete show stopper than it is lol. Either way, badass truck!!
Thank you Nicholas. We been talking and looking at some different fenders that the pre-runner / baja / off road guys are doing. We will for sure be moving forward on them once we are 100% sure that we don't need to do any more trimming and we know where the lines will be at.
1:36 👍👍 hellz YEAH!! One does not merely watch the wife get in his truck! He gives her an assist!
HA! Yeah I’ve got a V10 and added a second fuel tank from an excursion! 😂👍 we laugh at mpg!
Have several V10 vehicles, bone stock is 5-10mpg depending on rv, towing, lift, tires. Never been below 5.1
Anyone running 53's and worried about mileage needs to seriously rethink their life.
haha dude you know I'm all about helping her get in the truck😄
I had an idea for se steps for that ol girl. You could put the stock steps on it since it already has the mounts, and then fabricate some of those automatic steps on to the bottom of the stock ones. Or custom make some steps to go where the stock ones go and then put the autos on the bottom of those. I feel like that should be enough to eliminate the step ladder
That's a pretty good idea bud. One of the reasons I have not cut down the stock steps yet is because of their thickness and it making it harder to get into with just them. I'm going to do some more research on this idea.
@@PaperBeatsRock i think some self made steps with the autos mounted to the bottom of those would be the best lol the stock ford ones are pretty slippery sometimes
This is cool I live in Klamath Falls
seen you drive past bills glass truck looks good
Right on man. That's badass. If you ever see me out and about say hi.
@@PaperBeatsRock hell yeah brother! il have to let you check out my truck as well lol
You are hilarious I could watch ur videos all day
Lol. Wish I was in town that day. That is awesome.
Hell yes man. I hear there is a coffee and cars down at Star auto body once a month. I would like to hit that up and meet yeah all.
@@PaperBeatsRock ill be there.
It looks so bad ass. I love it
I just seen you earlier today driving up towards gold hill😂
I love that thing. I want a big stupid pick up truck also lol.
Dude it is so damn fun, and when people see it they just stop what they are doing and look at it. It really brings a smile to my face.
LOL You the Man! SPM !!!
haha yup we are all about the SPM Larry.
U said u have to do a 2 point out of ur driveway id probably have to do a 3 point out of your driveway ive got a 05 f-350 lariat 4wd long wheelbase 4 foor
lets goooo
Hell yes.
"SPM do cost a lot" 🤣
Thinking about putting a DT466 in my truck this summer
Dude I have owned several international 4600s and 4900s and I have thought about doing this swap myself. They are a super badass engine.
It would not fit here in NYC/Long Island area, you would have to Crawl over A Bunch of Prius’s lol That would be Awesome!
dude that would bad ass to see in NYC. but yeah it wouldn't fit at all lol.
During our snow emergencies they can't even get Humvees down the block in Manhattan but Long Island you would do okay anytime you guys want to come you got a tour-guide immediately
I'm actually having my solid-axle swap done at a shop that builds monster trucks here in Long Island called TNT
Hell don't worry about parking lots you have the stuip duty you rule the road 😉 👌
🤘 Hell yes bud. I need to mount cameras around it and get peoples reaction to it in parking spots.
Hell yeah just to see the looks on everyone face when you come rolling through town
Like the content keep it up your a funny guy too.
Right on Chris. Thank you very much. I enjoy doing stuff like this as well and I got a few good ideas on testing out the limits of using the truck in normal everyday activities.
You didn't factor in something to this* weight loss *
The fact that your balls are made of brass . And brass is heavy lmfao
Love the channel bud . Keep it up
bahaha this is true. Thank for the support my man. We will keep turning out the videos.
You need a body lift, it may help with steering clearances
It deffently would help take care of the problem but our goal is to keep the truck as low as possible.
@@PaperBeatsRock yeah… gotta make sure your wife can still get in it lol
Can you put a body lift on it to make it clear? I have 12 inch suspension and 4 inch body.... Yes it is to tall to drive legally but I drive HULK my truck everyday. I live in Michigan lift law is 24 inch to lowest part of frame and I'm at 35inchs at the lowest part of frame🤣🤣 HIGH LIFE!!
So Goat517 I could add a body lift and not have to do the time but doesn't fit in the with build that I'm trying to do. Personally I want the truck as low as it can be to fit the 53s and I'm 100% ok with doing all this trim to make it work. Honestly I want to put these tires on a truck with stock lift. That will require a huge amount of cutting into the cab for it to fit. So we are currently watching for a cost effective candidate truck to cut up to make that happen.
We need a new video man.
As far as weight loss maybe you haven’t lost any weight but I got to imagine that your wallet has on this project. Plus my youngest niece lives in Medford . Her and husband Mike Goergen may be opening up a coffee shop in Medford called royal coffee I’m in Forest Grove and have a 2003 f250 diesel which just recently blew a head gasket finally with 185,000 miles on it so I’ve been lucky compared to most 6.0 diesel owners have been.
Oh it has for sure put a dent in the wallet, but that's ok because it makes me happy. I have almost 400k miles on my 6.0 We bullet proofed it back when it had 200k on it and its been rock solid ever since.
I take it the tyres are not DOT approved and you may need flare extensions.
They are DOT approved tires, but flares and mud flaps are something we need to get done on it so I don't have to be so worried driving it around.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣fantastic truck
Dang bro!!! 👍
Needs more lift and a pair of 2 1/2 rockwells 👍
Nice 👍 , what part of Oregon ? I'm from banks or and seaside oregon areas lol
We in the Medford area. I need to make it over to the coast and try this thing out in the dunes.
Nice I know that are k Falls my brother is fire marshal for k Falls fire department , lol does your truck do good in beach sand
now i miss my truck :(
Love your truck but over here in the UK that rubber would have to be covered.
2.5 ton Rockwell axles would benefit old stupid duty big time
Your 100% correct and I think that even throwing money at gears for the stock axles will be the equivalent to burning it. As soon as we did gears more stuff on the D60 front and 10.5 rear are going to start failing. So we are watching for some 5 ton, MRAP, or LMTV axles to come up at a decent price. Then its just going to be dumping money into doing the brake conversion.
Super awesome truck you have there! just found your channel just now thanks to youtubes algorithm. Fellow veteran here 3/5 USMC. Also a fellow Excursion owner, what do you have planned for that rig?
Yahoo a new video what's up Adam and the stupid Duty
Glad you enjoyed the video my man. I always love seeing your comments.
@@PaperBeatsRock your welcome
dude a video with WhistlinDiesel!!!! pleaseee
That would be pretty rad.
Needs a lift kit. 😂😂😂😂😂
Ford Ranger at 5:29
NOPE! Gonna keep my ass in the parking lots Today.
You might be big n shit but yah ain’t no Ford fkin Ranger! Lolz
Chains stirrups for running boards 🤔
yeah it think that is a option we are going to look at trying for now.
No tickets yet huh
You mean s"miles" per gallons SPG
Did you cut into the bumper/frame that protects the bottom of the radiator, and then reinforce that with a solid straight piece instead of a little tea sections that stick out into the tire turning radius?
That bolt on core support that is right under the radiator we cut down and welded. We also did cut out a lot of the bumper. We have not cut into the frame yet though. I am running wheels with 4 inches of back spacing on top of 3" wheel spacers trying to get the tires far away from the frame so we get more turning radius.
@@PaperBeatsRock I was wondering what was giving space. I have 3in spacers and didn't seem like enough.
I'm cutting out space for my 47s, and I think I have to move the emergency brake cable. Did you have to relocate your emergency brake cable?
We have not yet but it is something we are watching because its very very close and it looks like it do rub it a little. If we do end up moving it, I will make sure to point it out in a video.
Was that mall place in bend Oregon ?
Its in Medford. I have not made it up to you guys in Bend just yet.
@@PaperBeatsRock oh it look exact like that lol
Why no legitimate running boards/ amp steps by now?
Its something I'm taking care of this week.
3 inch body lift
That would fix a lot of things and make life easier on us, but my goal with the truck is to try to keep it as low as possible. I really like he minimal lift look. I really want to find a wrecked one and fit the tires on it with no lift.
What lift is that?
LOL
what are the lift laws and headlight laws in oregon? or are there any?
There is not lift laws. We do have headlight law. Headlights cant be higher than 54". Also we do have a mud flap and fender law as well. The lugs on this thing are so huge that we don't pick up rocks and throw them at windshields but regardless we are putting these things in place to make her 100% street legal.
@@PaperBeatsRock thats good to know. im gonna be moving down to oregon close to port orford in the next year or two from alaska. our lift laws are ridiculous up here. cant wait to get some of my trucks built up and hopefully join up with some folks for some wheeling
It's not miles per gallon it's gallons per mile
Good catch.
I like that tread pattern do they make in like a 35??
I know they make smaller XZL tires but not sure if they are down to a 35.
Do you have the 6.0 or the 7.3 and what is your opinion on the engine you have
This truck has a 6.0 in it with almost 400k on the engine. I have owned several 7.3s and 6.0s trucks. Now first off yes the 6.0 is going to cost you more up front because your going to need to bullet proof it, but there is the 7.3 hype tax that you will have to pay when buying the truck initially. After bullet proofing the maintenance on the 6.0 is equal to the 7.3. But you have way more power. Honestly they are both good engines.
Awesome videos. Check out my sleeper. 15 PowerStroke. Has a mod or 12.
damn man. That looks good AF. I like it.

What do you have for lockers and gear ratio and what size lift
Still running the sock gears 3.73 with no lockers. We are currently debating on to do gears in these axles or just bump up to some military axles. Lift is a 8 inch Rough Country. I want to keep the truck as low as possible for the look that I want.
Is that a 7.3 or 6.0
Quit cutting and smashing and do the proper thing lift the fucking truck. Put portals on it or something it will give you the clearance you need.
What gears are in the axles?
Stock 3.73s
bubba truck
Why are you at libtard Carhartt??
Get outta there before they mandate a mask on your big head
It just happen to be in the same parking lot as Black Rock Coffee.
Im sqd to see the carhart business they turned woke mandating the jabby & im not with that & upset they did cater too the left & not what real 🇺🇸 is about & thats being free being forced to do something isnt being free just first step in there plan
It does give a feeling that they are turning their back on the blue collar works. Well at least the ones I grew up with and know.
How is this vehicle road legal? Your ministry of transportation is complete idiots if they let this vehicle on the road. Sick truck though. I drive it on the road if they let me do it...... Just saying
As long as the tires are DOT approved and have something to keep them from flinging rocks and stuff and the truck is no wider than 8' outside tire to outside tire and no taller than 13.5'. I ts all good to go. 😊
@@LscottD headlight and bumper heights might also factor in too. I'm sure they could find something if they wanted to. I think it was likely already registered before the modifications too
We really only have a few laws to stay inside. 1 the tires have to be DOT approved and these are. 2nd the headlights in our state can't be over 54 inch's tall. We are working on that. 3rd and 4th. Fenders need to cover to the outside of the tire tread, and the vehicle needs to have mud flaps.
Saw a Ford in Prineville, in the early 1990's, 2.5 ton axles, 14.00x20 tires, just blew me away thinking it was legal.
@@jondahl3173 I will say this is one of the few things I'm still loving about Oregon laws.
I love you say that I love you will complain about the mail and gas
