Clearing 37 Inch Tires on the New 2022 Tundra

- We decided to get rid of the tiny stock tires on our new 2022 Toyota Tundra, and instead throw on some beefy 37x12.5R17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T tires! The kicker? We wanted to clear them properly with STOCK suspension! No lift at all. It required some cutting, a cab mount chop, and a little bit of creativity, but we got it done. Yes, we did have to limit the up travel just slightly to keep the tire out of the fender. It hurt me a little bit to do that, but I didn't want to cut the body on our new truck quite yet.

Just so you know, I had quite bad backpain during this video and was on a lot of pain killers, so I apologize for mumbling a lot!
Painkillers didn't stop you from driving, lol!
Don’t get hooked on the opioids man
The real deal. Thanks Braeden for the definitive guide to fitting 37’s. Too much cutting for me so I’m sticking with 35’s
Gorgeous! The big tires with minimum / no lift look has always appealed to me more than having a truck jacked up towards the sky. More functional too, especially with IFS. The aesthetic of stuffing the wheel well with as much tire as possible is just 👌
That's my style as well! I will be lifting the truck slightly, just 1" in the front, and nothing in the rear pretty soon. Stock there is about 2.5" of rake, and I want to have 1.5" of rake, as I do still load up the truck a lot for work.
@@OverlandOutfitters I'm doing the same thing, but thinking of reducing rake by putting a spring under kit in the rear instead of lifting the front haha. Thanks again for the vid
Which lift are you doing for that 1” front. That’s what I’m looking at as well.
@@MrRpozi The suspension I ended up with has a minimum lift height of 2" in the front unless I swap the coils, but the 2" lift ended up being decent, but I did have to lift the back as well to get some rake back. There will be a video coming out eventually covering all of it!
@@OverlandOutfitters do 35's fit with no mods?
Love those Methods. TRD lift and those wrapped up in 35s is the plan
So dope! New methods looks killer on the lunar rock!
wow the 0 offset does not look like it pokes out too much, considering the stock trd wheels are 60 positive offset , thanks for sharing, I am considering 37s on stock suspension then later a leveling kit.
Can I get a hooooaaaaah yeaaaaaah
She’s pretty
Found my way here from the overlanding tips vid
Ohhhh yeeaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh
Sick vid, 37s are 👌🏼
banger video Braeden!
I'm going with the same wheels in the +35 (or around there I forget exactly what it is) offset going with 35s ko2
can i get 37's on my gen 3 tundra pro, using all stock suspension??
Love it. Looks real good.
Love it.
awesome !
Truck looks so good with the 37's. Any clue what music is being played at 5:00 in this video?
Will this be the same for the Sequoia?
What did you do to secure the wheel well plastic in the front?
Looks awesome, but I’d rather have gone with 35” tires if I didn’t have to run spacers to loose 1” of travel, or how about a solid axle swap?
Hey just curious what kind of space was between the tire and UCAs? I may have miss it in the video.
There's plenty of space with this wheel setup, 1.5" or so.
Where are you oocated
What is the maximum tire size you can use with the 18” original rims with no lift? Looking for options with the OEM rims.
This website works well to check tire sizes on different wheel options
Those micky Thompson said they were not snowflake rated. I'm glad they are. How do you like them?
So far, I really like them. Have done around 15000km on them now and lots of bad winter roads, and they've done very well in the snow and rain.
Did you like the 0 offset, or would you have gone with something different?
I'm happy with 0. I definitely wouldn't go negative on the new tundra. A little positive would get the wheel in line with the fender instead of the poke
I realize what your intention is with the video, but the lighting is the furthest from helpful as possible. Cinematic efforts aside, this could be so much more informative if it was a more realistic explanation vid. Thanks man!
Mind DM’ing a quote pls. Total cost of wheels, tires and labour. Thanks.

This is how Tacomas should come off the showroom! What gears went into this? Next is to get rid of that gas guzzling V-6 and put in a more fuel efficient hemi, these larger tires will require more hp, I’d bet money that a hemi would be more fuel efficient than the Toyota V-6
Why would you trade Toyota reliability over Dodge hemi? lulz
@@julioviloria3289 I have owned three Toyotas , all with high mileage, I had head gasket issues with all of them, so when you mention reliability… the Toyotas were expensive to fix, my few friends with dodges with the hemi have had less issues..
@@vincefairleigh6899 Cummins I would trust to last but not Hemi
@@julioviloria3289 I’d trust the hemi as much as the Toyota motor, I’d put money that the hemi is better on fuel and more power… that’s technology, and I have owned three Toyotas, I love and hate them all, I have just been so impressed with my friends hemi’s.. although it’s a fact that ram does have the best reputation… I’m curious how many loyal fans would love it if the branding was switched ? A good question
