Will this screen recording also record the system sound, for eg if I play a youtube video?
Thank you so much for this! Yesterday my boss asked me to make a video to demonstrate to patents how to use certain web apps, and I’ve lain awake all night worrying about how to it. You’ve made my life so much easier!
Kevin, as always I never watch one of your tutorials without being absolutely impressed! Thanks
Thanks a lot :) At last my search for screen recording apps ends here... after watching your video tutorial to record screen using MS POWERPOINT.. GOOD JOB.
Can I just say a huge THANK YOU! That was SO easy to follow and I just did my first recording of how I use a particular database to share with my colleagues. So practical! Thank you!
Thanks Kevin, this is a great work around, I had no idea I had the tools to record my screen. Awesome!
@Jaden's Joyride wow
Nice and simple. No additional confusing options. Just create, save, and publish. Great Job Microsoft!
You solved my problem of figuring out how I was going to record my screen... Thank you sir, very much!!
I love this! I was just showing my coworkers how to do screen recordings right in PPT - no special screen recording software needed. So useful!
..ditto. Love this Kevin. You have a gift for teaching in a very simple, easy-to-understand manner. Brilliant! 🙏🙏🙏
you're an absolute blessing for a person like me who's struggling to look for a good screen recording
👍👍❤️
Thanks Kevin, I was searching for another recorder without knowing that Office is bundled with capabilities. Thanks again for opening my eyes. God bless you.
Thank you! I tried it before I finished watching the video and just right clicked to save the video and it saved as an mp4 (obviously I don't get a lot of the functions like HD when I do this, but that's not needed) This is so much better than other screen recorders! You are a life saver.
I've been using PPT for years and this is the first time I know it has a screen recorder, thank you.
It was introduced as a native feature in 2013.
You've been able to export a presentation as a video since the 90s though I think.
Allahu akbar
😀
@@jezlawrence720 Yes you can find it in 2013 or later
Classic! Most useful video! Microsoft package has so much of hidden treasure! I admire the development team 💪
I was using power point for a long time and never know it has this inbuilt feature. Thanks for opening my eyes
Just after started watching your videos on windows. I came across many hidden gems and features of windows. Thanks for educating
I just watched two of your videos and you've changed my life LOL! Thank you!!!
Had no idea I could record my screen with powerpoint! Thanks!
Straight to the point. Power point. Nothing more. Nothing less. No chit chat. You nailed it man. Thank you very much.
You are a rock star! Efficient & clear in your presentation! Been rambling around trying to find a good screen recorder to create tutorials for new colleague. This is definitely the easiest & most intuitive way. Love that I get to stay within Microsoft platform. I'll be checking out your other videos now!
Great video Kevin. Learned a number of things I will apply to my video's. By the way saving the file as a mp4 can also be done directly in the powerpoint by right click and save as. So I don't use the export to.
oh ma lord- this is awesome!! I am a teacher and looking to not having to learn 1x10^6 new pieces of software ...Thank you !
Everyone at my job is looking at me funny cause I got extremely happy because I found this video and tested it out AND IT SOLVES MY PROBLEM PERFECTLY!!!! I am really happy I found this as it opens the doors up to many other possibilities!!! Thank you for posting this!!! I love CZcams for content like this!! Applied knowledge!
Because of the stay in place order, the company where I work is doing education on line. This video showed me how to record my screen so I can make a tutorial video, post to CZcams & teach my co-workers how to learn our new learning management system (LMS) the company is implementing. Good Job Kevin. Thank You !!!! From central California.
Another nice clear and concise instructional video. There is also a screen recorder in the OneNote 2016 but not in the WIN10 version. But the WIN10 version has a dictation tool not in OneNote 2016. You might like to make a tutorial about these.
Hello Kevin, as always a very clear tutorial video. Thank you.
I wanted to ask you if there is a way to include polling in Teams and how if it can be used during a live event? Thx
By the way, I hit that like button even before starting the video. You're just that good :-D
Kevin, This video saved me today... I reinstalled my OS and forgot to install OBS. I wanted to record my wife preaching through a WebEx and this popped into my memory. Worked great!
This video told me exactly what I need to know to capture my screen on video. I am so pleased. It looks easy and I will try it later on when I get my notes ready for a script to read while I am recording the actions. Thank you so much.
I love this, it helps a lot. One more thing, is there way to record a on scree video and merge a presenter's little window to the overall video we are recording?
I'd be interested in this too.
how we have to save power point video recoding????????????????????
Thanks, Kevin! Does PPT for Mac also have the same feature? I cannot seem to find it. I have Microsoft 365 installed on my Mac as well,
me too, i couldnt find it on my mac also
I really love this. It is easy to learn and accomplish the goal. I use PP a lot never knowing I can record for lectures, workshops, etc. Gracias Kevin for sharing this in a simple way.
Super helpful! The only thing that I would add is when you export the video, you need to change the number of seconds per slide if your recording on that slide is longer than 5 seconds. My lesson on the slide was 10 minutes long, so I had to update that. Everything else was super helpful!
This is such a great feature to know about. I just tested following along with you but the sound is not recording. Is that a separate function to set up? Thanks.
I've got the same problem. It automatically records my standard input device (microphone). Is there any way to change the audio source? Thank you very much in advance!
Hello,
How do I record my screen while including system audio? I need that very much for my presentation.
Thank you.
yes plz tell
Subscribed mate, I have watched many of your videos and I like the fact that you get straight to the point. Well done
That is awesome....
I've been searching for a screen recorder but didn't know that PowerPoint could do the job done for me.
I have a question. How come when I recorded my ppt as video lesson the background music was missing? I tried the procedure so many times but still there was no background music?
I tried it. The screen recording works, but when I played it back and listened to its audio, I noticed that the recorder turned on my computer's microphone and recorded sounds from that instead of from the video I tried to screen-record. Do you know how to fix this? 🔉❌
That is my question too - Is it possible for PowerPoint to record computer audio instead of the Mic? Seems like the screen capture only captures the mic.
@@BaconTrades I gave up on trying to record videos on PowerPoint and started using OBS Studio.
@@Affixton96 good to know - I am doing the same, using OBS and sometimes use Xbox Game screen recorder built into Windows 10 for simpler quick recordings.
The recording is great but there are a few skips in the music that are not in the ppt presentation. Any idea how I can fix that?
@@BaconTradesbut I'm facing quality issue in OBS
OMG...I just finished watching your Top 5 Screen Recorders...you should have definitely highlighted this. This is awesome! Thank you.
Brilliant - how wonderful to find this easy-to-use Powerpoint functionality just when I needed it! Thanks, Kevin!
Your videos help me a lot in preparing my videos necessary to advertise the library I work in. Thanks for you informative and skill-building videos.
Thank you Kevin. You explain things at just the right pace for me.
Thank you so much for this video! It was clear, concise, and easy to follow. Plus, I could understand your speech so clearly. Many other tutorials have speakers with heavy accents that can be difficult to understand. This was just what I was looking for.
Wow. This is the most simplest video for screen recording! Love it!
Thank you! I learned something new during this quarantine period. Keep it up.
By the way, your voice is so cool. Pleasing to the ears...
He has a good recording gadget as well. I hope I can get one in the future..😀😀
This guy's awesome! Always valuable content, no beating around the bush, clear and concise and straight to the (power)point. :p.
Thanks Kevin, this is quite helpful, only wish I had watched the video some weeks back. I participated in a webinar and could not capture all the information that were shared. This would have come in handy. But thanks to you, now I know what to do in the future.
Thank you, whatever HR said, makes it better that you're with Microsoft, you know what you're talking about. And I was hunting for a video or screen recorder. Beautiful!
Thanks, Kevin! This was terrific and totally solved my issue of creating a quick instructional video for my friends!
Thanks Kevin, very straightforward and succinct. Bing offered me your video and I found it so useful that I tracked you down in CZcams so I could give you another like. I'll certainly watch out for your videos in future.
Thank you so much Kevin - such an easy to follow step by step guide. I am going to give it a go!
Loved it Kevin, was looking for any such app from long ... thank you for showing light
Great tips and thanks for letting us know this exists! I was wondering how to do a screen recording to demo something at work. I do not use Powerpoint at all, great to know this feature is in there.
After searching for a while, this video really helped. Thank you
Thank you very much Kevin, this is very helpful for me.
Just like any Tech guru, you're a lifesaver when it comes to Technical difficulties.
love it.....thank you soooo much ive been looking for this tutorial for long time....its very useful for us teachers in new normal....thank u ...
THANK YOU!!! exactly what i was looking for and you explained it so well.
I love your tutorial it is very clear and easy to follow and comprehend. thank you.
Well presented and easy to follow tutorial. Thank you so much for doing this. I'd heard you could somehow screen record in ppt but had never actually seen how.
You are so creative and wonderful person. Your all videos are unique and amazing. I m 40 year old, today came to know PowerPoint can be used to record 😜. Thanks Sir...!!!
VIDEO WAS REALLY HELPFUL AND THE THING I WAS SEARCHING FOR I COULD NOT GET HERE BUT I GOT A REALLY GOOD IDEA HOW TO DO THAT.
THANKS
YOU ARE DOING GREAT JOB .
Thank you for sharing Kevin. There are so many to learn from your videos.
** THIS IS MUCH BETTER ** then using the Windows + G. (xbox recorder) that is also native in Windows. I am SO GLAD I saw this video. Was trying to record some tutorial videos for work, with my work issued laptop and am not able to install any 3rd party applications, or really adjust too many settings. The output of the Windows + G option was considerably less quality even with the highest settings. The Power Point method is awesome with no degradation at all to the final video. Brilliant!!
I needed this so badly...THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the info
Thank you Kevin for sharing the PowerPoint feature which is the screen recording. The presentation is short but specific on the topic.
Awesome Kevin. Thank you. Had been looking for this soo many years.
Just what I needed. Thank you for this useful information.
Great presentation! Very well explained, clear and concise!
Thank you! This is so helpful to create instructional videos for my online class.
Very informative and easy to follow, Thanks for sharing with us!!
I need to try this. Working from home during the pandemic and have been asked to train 2 people in SharePoint Online virtually so hoping I could prepare little videos perhaps navigating around our Intranet and talking through creating, editing and publishing a page using our site templates.
Great Kelvin I really like your video
because every time you give me something new.
Thanks Kevin. All your videos are very helpful.
Hi, Kevin. You are so amazing. YOu've just helped me in my thing as a teacher. Thanks a lot!
But its too slow when you record gameplays ☹️
Hi Kevin, you can also right click on the video and save the video. I made a small handout for my colleagues how to use onscreen recording and this was on option 2.
Thank you! It's exactly the information I needed for my project.
Thank you Kevin. Amazing lessons. Kudos!
Nicely done Kevin - you were well paced and concise - I watched the game box version of screen recording and it went a little fast
I've been using PPT all of my adult career and never knew about this feature. Thanks for sharing.
Thumbs up Kevin. Used this tutorial to help make a work related video. Thanks.
I am watching this again since the pandemic started. Thank you so much for such valuable content.
Would be great to know your Mic,! that's some decent quality audio right there, and thumbs up for the protective net too!
Thank You Bro So Much as a student i need this in order of presenting kinda stuff etc

Great to realize this function is available. Yes, more videos please.
Really great Kevin, thanks a lot, keep on rolling!
Thanks for the tips! I am actually having trouble recording my assignment presentation. Thanks!
I Just appreciate Microsoft products so much. The cost vs Productivity value is awesome. Far more affordable than most other apps.
Thanks for making this great tutorial!!! I love it!
Thank you so much!!! I have Office 365 and was looking for a way to teach online, solved now!
I'm so happy I came across this channel.
Excellent Kevin, that's really a very good solution of my problem. Really impressive. Thanks a lot.
Excellent Kevin, I will try it. I need to create some courses and tutorials and I was looking for some software to do this. Thanks for now.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge on powerpoint - very useful.
Excellent! Thank you. Looking for something simple for work and this may fit the bill. Need to show people how to complete and submit a fillable Word doc, as well as find specific information on our website. Gonna give it a try.
!!! this is actually working so well, thank you so much!!!!!
Thanks so much Kevin, I appreciate the teaching.
