Great job... 👏👏 I've never seen such comparison like the way you did....but I wish I would have understood what you were saying..😅 My question is if you had to choose between this two guitars which one will be your pic..???
First of all, I'm sorry for not having subtitles. We will post subtitles on the videos later. It seems very difficult to choose one of the two guitars ^^;; Thanks for watching the video.
I am seeing this video again and again after years....one of the best comparison video. I am planning to get the Yamaha CSF-TA someday. I just wish it would have an onboard tuner. 😊
Just recently went in a local retailer and checked out both guitar brandnew in person. Taylor GS mini has a contoured back lightly curved back, a more generic neck that's comfy to play but noticably fatter feeling than the yamaha. Overall build quality wise I'd say yamaha is quite a bit better. The paintjob on the body and the neck's finish and feel makes me question whether this is a much more premium lined guitar but it only costs 750 canadian dollar here. which is 50 dollars cheaper than the taylor. Having picked up and played both I'd say the yamaha feels like a much more qualitied guitar and the apperance also has a bit more class to it. The CFS neck width and string spaces are tighter than the taylor imo and feels more like an electric in somesort of way. It comes with elixir 80/20 bronze strings so they are a bit harder feeling and more slick feeling than my default diddario phospher bronze. The yamaha's body has crazy vibration and volume for how small the body is.
Hey man, good review. Don't speak the language though. Quick question: I think the Yamaha looks a bit bigger. Is Is the rounded edge in the back of the Taylor Mini giving it more centimeters?
Sorry for the late reply. We will also put English subtitles later. Since we don't have two instruments now, it is difficult to make an accurate comparison. We are sorry for this. At the time, of the two guitars, the gs mini hips were cut a little more. These days, my video is measuring and displaying the actual size of the guitar. Thank you.
Thank you very, very much. This is almost two years later, and I was looking for a comprehensive comparison, which you did. I was caught between the two, couldn't make up my mind. But to my "ear", the Yamaha is a work of art and wood and steel. The Taylor -- everybody seems to have one. I will go to the music store, play the Yamaha and know I will buy it. Thanks again.
At first listen I liked the Taylor. ...but listen closer and it lacks clarity and is boomy on the bass strings. The yamaha is much more balanced. Cool review glad u put english subtitles on this video. I recently bought the Csf3m ....other guitars I considered was an Alvarez parlor (cedar top with macasar ebony sides and back.) But it didn't come with a case. The Takamine new yorker. And the Taylor gs mini. The only ones I played was the alvarez and the Taylor. I went with the yamaha because I couldn't find any negative comments on it. They ship with a great gig bag. The fit and finish is almost flawless. (Best 500$ guitar I ever seen) she is pretty in person. It plays effortless . The Only things I do not llike is , I wish the scale length was a little longer. I had to polish the frets. They were rough when bending strings (I have noticed this on just about every Chinese made guitar in this price range and cheaper.) Quick fix witha hone and some metal polish on a rag (u can use a polish wheel on a dremel much faster results) . I don't like yamahas generic looking sticker on the headstock. The headstock overlay is a really thin veneer I think. But I guess they had to cut costs somewhere to keep price down. The csf3m is a ton of guitar for the money. Put some fancy bridge pins in her to dress up....and a bone nut and saddle (if your picky about that) the yamaha rocks! Kindof makes me want to try their's and takamine top end pro model guitars. I bet they blow away anything under 5k from martin and gibson
Thank you for your excellent comparison. I am really torn between Yamaha and Taylor. I love GS mini Mahogany but it doesn't have an in-built pickup. I may go for Yamaha CSF-TA parlor.
Thanks a lot. I loved it too. I am a petite Indian female singer. I already use Yamaha APX 500. Now looking to upgrade. I love GS Mini too. But Yamaha parlor with trans-acoustic (2019 model) is the best for me. BTW, I didn't understand what you said in your video but really enjoyed such a holistic comparison. Keep up the good work. Best wishes. And loved your playing too.
@@pvsamorgan9803 Pvsa Morgan Oh! Are you a singer with playing the guitar? I'm very honored to see my video from a singer from other contries. If I can speak English well I can give you more information. Thank you very much for watching my video and commenting on it. I also cheer for you to sing and play the guitar.
That's my video link. Yeah I am a singer but not famous yet😁. I live in New York currently. Where do you live? No one else did a comparison video between these 2 guitars. So, when I searched, your video came up. Can't wait to get a Yamaha CSF-TA soon. 🎸🎶
Great video! However, I think comparing the Yamaha CSF1M to the GS Mini would be a better comparison as it has a solid top and laminate back and sides like the GS Mini. The Yamaha CSF3M is all solid and SHOULD sound better.
@@user-jb7mj2yh2f I would also "prefer" the sound of a Gibson, but that guitar is way above most of our budgets here in the States. It would be nice if you could answer the question.
@@morna45 My answer is half a joke. Sorry if it was unpleasant. Like the opinions of the people who commented on this video, I think the Yamaha CSF3M is better. In the case of the Taylor GS mini, it would be a good choice if you want to listen to Taylor at a low price. If you have to choose two guitars under the same conditions, I think Yamaha CSF3M with a better specification is a good choice. I hope my answer is helpful. Thank you.

Thank you very much. The Yamaha is a clear winner to me in terms of tone. I suspect that the solid back and sides really make a difference.
Excellent and very useful comparison! As I don't understand your language, which one do you prefer ?
Sorry for the difficult language. Subsequently, I will subtitle even in English. Thanks for watching.
For reference, my language is Korean.

Just buy a clip on tuner?
A comparison of nut width and string spacing would be very helpful. Great video. Thank you.

Which do you personally prefer in terms of sound and feel?
CSF3M, I have had this one. I hope this guitar will be stoped production in the next year so it will be the rare series what I have will.
I hope so^^ ;;;;

This is an excellent comparison. I think Yamaha has a more open sound. Great video, thank you :-)
Thank you😁
Excellent comparison.
The Yamaha takes the flag.

Wow, amazing! Thank you. Which one do you enjoy the overall feel and sound of more... if you could only have one which one would you keep?

The SM57 didn't plug any cable. How did you record the sound of two guitars?
I don't use any mic or recording system in my video because I want to deliver natural guitar sound to people watching my videoes.
Yamaha hands down! I think that the csf1m is just enough and a lot cheaper...
I agree with you. 🙂

Yamaha win
Yamaha take all the way
Yamaha kill this taylor all the way... Great Job Yamaha..
I think many people agree with your opinion.😁 Thank you for watching my vedio.
Yamaha sounds better.

Gs mini 승!!!
