Upgraded Unbleached Bone Saddle and full setup done up by Jarvis Wong of THE GUITAR SPA SINGAPORE
    guitarsaddle@hotmail.com
    Compact body, full-size sound
The compact size of CSF makes it outstandingly comfortable to play and easy to transport; it’s the perfect guitar to take your music with you wherever you go. And thanks to an all-new design, the compact body packs a sound that’s rich, vibrant and full.
    The secret to great resonance
The design of the CSF series utilizes newly-designed scalloped bracing that delivers rich, full-bodied resonance. The use of a forward shifted construction maintains the strength of the body while maximizing the vibration of the guitar’s top.
    Two different configurations
Each CSF series guitar boasts a top made from a single sheet of Sitka spruce and mahogany sides and back. The CSF3M uses solid-wood back and sides for even better resonance.
All CSF guitars come with a durable hard bag that you can sling over your shoulder for safe, easy transport.
    Pickups for great live performance
CSF series guitars are equipped with the Zero Impact passive pickup, allowing you to plug in to an amplifier or PA system for natural, dynamic acoustic sound when playing live.

Strange that there are no comments here yet about this CSF3M guitar so I’ll be the first one to start. Bought this guitar on 12 June 2018. Like it very much as it is small n compact, also love the vintage coloured top n beautiful Mahogany wood grain on its back n sides. Very impressive tone n loudness for such a small guitar; able to match my GS Mini. Downside is that when I strum hard, it sounds a little bit “jarring”. Strings are very far (high) from the fingerboard and I had to adjust the neck of the guitar to straighten it as much as possible without it buzzing. I changed the strings to .11 guage and although it is softer, the jarring tone is gone and it sounds more balanced. Hopefully as this guitar ages, its tone will improve even more since it is all solid Mahogany. :)

Great review, love the scale length of the guitar.
One suggestion, massive pincushion distortion in image, too wide angle lens IMO.

I’ve got a Mexico Made Martin DRS1, which was my first guitar (Nov 2017) because I had to have a Martin. I almost stopped playing...and then I bought my Yamaha FSX700SC as a “couch” guitar and haven’t really picked up my Martin much since! I love Yamaha. These videos have me thinking Yamaha where before I wouldn’t have. Keep the great reviews coming, and man Jarvis I LOVE your playing.
    Take care! Safe travels.

@@bartdumolyn1262 it might have been a better option. I loved the sound, look and smells of my Martins but the only thing I have now is my Yamaha. If this plandemic ever goes away (fat chance even if the fear mongering gets everyone 100% get vaccinated) I’ll take my stash of emergency fund “cash” and buy another 000-18 for sure lol!
(I ended up selling my DRS1 and bought a 2011 000-18, then sold it also, back in March 2020).

Have watched a few of your reviews now and really like them. I purchase the APX 1000 NT Feb/9/2019 for my 61st birthday and watched you review on it a few times while waiting for it to arrive. I love Love that guitar. The same day i went to pay for her i tried an FSTA in Vintage color and with one strum fell in love with that too so i put one on layaway. Soon as that is paid for I want a parlor guitar and i know this is gonna be it all solid. Gonna put it on layaway soon as the FSTA is paid for,the guy has it on order for me now.. You Play Awesome and i like trying some of your style there on this one. Yamaha IMO is Top Shelf Product all around. Can't affort Gibson,Taylor or Martin so Yamaha is my choice and will get 3 guitars for the price of one of their high end models so i am truly happy. Thanks for sharing your reviews Young Man .They have made my journey to getting back into guitar very easy

This guitar have body depth different. It is seen when I look at the side in the horizontal position. The difference is about 20mm between right and left side. I think it is strange because I have never seen guitar body like this. May be it is a yamaha inovation to get best sound and efficient construction at parlor guitar. I hope it is not error production.

I just purchased a fs800 and had to exchange it because the straight edge on the fretboard hit the bridge..it seems Yamaha sets their necks low..In the store I measured 4 and only one cleared and only on the center of the bridge between 3 and 4 strings the straight edge still barley hits the bridge with the straight edge placed next to the outer strings..waiting on bone nut saddle and pins to set her up..
