its hard to think that this came out in 1965
...not really. You were either not born, or lived out side the Pacific N.W.
That’s what she said 🤪
This song crushes harder than most modern rock.
The drummer has it going on!
I love seeing old rockers perform and still destroy. It's like muscle memory. They just get up there and it all comes out whether they like it or not.
This was the hardest rocking song in the entire country when it came out. This song is why I am a hard rock fan. This song is about a gal from Banbridge Island.
Seriously?? I grew up in the 60's in Seattle and saw these guys perform more than once! I think it was Sherman Hills roller rink in Bellevue. Went there every weekend when I was in high school. Saw Van Morrison and Them there before they hit it big. Gawd, they’re still kicking ass. I love it!
She's going to make you itch. Definitely sounds STD related.
watching these guys play this song is like watching a fist fight! brilliant
@@christianhatim6170 They where too animal for the era as opposed to more tame rock they was being played in the Northwest.
godfathers of punkrock
Wow, they still sound great!
they sound better than ever!
Yeah, that was badass.
That guy singing and playing the bass is absolutely the real deal.
Proper old skool. :)
Rawer than in the 60s. Impressive.
Perfect example of how saxophone "works" in a hard rock/punk/metal setting
i always thought it made sense in that 60s garage sound, since it was already just really wild loud r&b
Still got it! what a band...
how can I like this 110x times?
They sound just as great now as they did then..from the seattle area.
they were from Tacoma.
T-Town all the way! Summer dances Friday nights at the UPS Fieldhouse. She's Just a Walkin' the Dog. @@davidhigginbotham5451
Drummer fuckin shreds
Dusty Watson as played with many different bands and is one of the best drummers alive.
Can't believe they still exist...with the same energy!
these guys were probably like the Cannibal Corpse of 1965
That is brilliant! 😂
best comment I've read in months
Perfect analogy! I was in jr high when The Witch by the Sonics came out- we went nuts over those wild screams! I played the 45 rpm over and over. Still have it. I know Cannibal Corpse, too. Lol, A Metal Shop favorite. Both bands drove parents crazy. Love it!
Hahahaha
Hahhahahaha
60 years after release this song still slaps hard af!
Hell yes they still rock
See you soon in Mexico, guys. 🔥🤛🏾
Still sounds great after all of these years!
BadAss! !!
sweet jesus, they are fabulous! love them then and now :) greetings from Poland
This would have melted my brains if i was back then, without knowledge of metal or harsh noise
The good discover of my Sunday, thank you very much The Sonics and KEXP for posting those videos.
Dexter6662 seriously? Discover?
I didn't know this band yes, ^^
Sick song for the 60s
One of my favorites!!
They are killin’ it!!!
REAL ROCK AND ROLL!!!
The beginning of Punk right there
this rules! They still kill it
Foooooking brilliant
hell yeah, guys still sound awesome!
The Godfathers of Hardrock!
CARALHO! FUCKING AWESOME!
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GOALS
Listening to this, my fuck it's awesome! ♡
fucking love this song
Love🎶🤘🤘
Such a trip hearing this played at the Olympics.
This is unbelievable for a live performance, and it isn't even most of the original band members.
The Rob Lind's New Sonics still sound great
Opening for I don't remember in Portland around 65 . Might have been Herman's Hermits.
Paul Revere and the Raiders!
@DrFishGut my Brother Ron took me to Paul Revere and the Raiders in Portland . Good Concert too.
Though at this time this is not The Sonics, apart from Rob Lind, this line up still knocks it out of the park. Sounds good for a band with one 1 original member.
With Chris Benoit on Guitar
Attitude!
ya le gustaria a Mick Jagger estar asi de hermoso...
first hardcore
1965
this is fucking sick oh my god i feel like vomiting over how cool this sounds for 1965
Coulda seen Cobain covering this song if he lived long enough to divorce Courtney Love.
he hated the Sonics... called them "stupid" in his interview with Nardwuar...
@@playitstrange129 nah he definitely didn't hate them lol he was just trolling. He even claimed that their drum sound is the best he ever heard, so he definitely respected them. Whomever is a fan of Kurt's catalogue of interests know very much he was into the cheap, underground, garage, punk rock stuff, so of course he loved the Sonics.
Lucky Reykjavik!
Is that Aaron Roeder on drums?
Is that Dwight schrute
L7 brought me here
Not the real sonics. Guy does a good job on Roslies vocals. I know because I played with Jerry. Biggest voice I ever heard .
The ugliest musicians that I have ever seen make very good music!
