He got pretty bold when no one picked up the coded messages within "Biographics", so he became more overt in "Casual Criminalist". No one figured it out, so he must have thought that "Into the Shadows" would surely get us to twig to his dark secrets. Once we let it get as far as "Decoding the Unknown", he was basically confessing his crimes at that point *even though it's one of the rules*, Simon! One of your own rules! We're all complicit because we said nothing.
To be fair he was pretty open about it on Brain Blaze, but to be fair, Danny had to turn Callum into those Fray Bentos pie fillings to simply survive down there. Had the infidels not tunnelled into his lair, this would have been a long time coming out.

I loved his content, but when I found out that EVERY SINGLE ONE of the allegations were true I was flabbergasted. To think that he got away with it again and again, right under everyone's noses is insane. Even with the ludicrous amount of DNA evidence he left behind with each of his victims, he still hasn't been brought to justice. I'm shocked to say the least.

I saw Simon Whistler at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

I like that you emphasize the impact that his actions (for lack of a better word) had on his friendships. We all know how Simon (the old Simon) valued friendship above all else. You could really see in his older videos that this is a man who loved and needed his fellow man. He thrived off of relationships, probably a bit too much (I think this was one cause of what happened). At the end of the day, I think losing his friends affects him more than all the consequences he has faced in terms of fame and money.
That's the saddest part of all this.
Edit: OK chill out. OBVIOUSLY the saddest part of all this is the victims. Simon is a tragic figure but that does not mean I am on his side. He deserves what's happened to him. But that doesn't mean I can't find it sad. Still, my sympathies go out much more strongly to all the victims.
