So it sounds like there is a story played out through the album if you put them in the right order.
It starts with "This Place"
Next its "If All Should Fail"
Which is followed by "I'll Keep On Walking"
Then "I'll Come Back to New Orleans"
Up next is "The Final Voyage of the Wailer's Essex"
Then it goes to "We're the Gang Stalkers"
Next is "The Grave"
After that its "The Hearse Song"
Then "Write me a Letter"
And finally "There Isn't Any God"
And if your wondering how the story goes.
It starts off with a description of where they are and of the situation. Then it talks about how the main character had wished to never fall in love but met a girl and his plans changed. Then the main fell into some hard times and couldn't get a job and has to move away. Then he goes to sending her letters about how he is going to be coming back soon and how he was in love with her still. However on his way to Nantucket his crew was low on food and had to eat a crew mate to live which drove him mad. Then when he got to Nantucket he drove down to New Orleans and returned to find out that his girl was cheating on him and he lost it and started the Gang stalkers and killed her. Then in the grave he is talking about how he found the grave and is dancing on and returning to it every week. Then as he realizes that the cops are closing in on him he starts think about how he is going to die and what will happen when he is dead. Now the cops have arrested him and now he is sending letter to his mom and the Gang stalkers asking for help. Finally he has broken down and is wording his hatred towards God.

0.25x = slow, creepy, but also not that great in terms of audio quality
0.5x = Wonderfully creepy. Reminds me of something an old, institutionalized prisoner would sing.
0.75x = Ominous and much clearer. Like the background to a murder movie from the 80's
