@@Goofyderclown Mahabharata was an oral tradition at the beginning. Later on those fragments were compiled (during 400 BCE to 400 CE). The Epic genre is not History. It looks back at the past nostalgically (just like Sanjay Leela Bhansali movies). It might be possible that while compilation of Mahabharata some Buddhist ideologies were introduced, since the audience was already exposed to it. However, such topics should be open for free and unbiased discussions.

It is also intriguing that the supposedly greatest Indian historian has publicly claimed that she has no expertise in Indian languages like Sanskrit, Parakrit, Tamil, Pali. Most translations she relies are from European scholars whose translations were funded for the colonial agenda. Her main influence D D Kosambi himself was an amateur hobbyist Historian who dabbled in applying dialectical materialist framework on indian history while he had idle time in his day job in the Indian Statistical Institute. I am as a matter of fact highly intrigued by the idiocy and gullibility of her eulogizers who claim that she is some kind of scientific historian who relies on archaeological and literal scientific evidence. My only guess is that these people are impressed by her authority and pomp and have not read her works where she does not hide her biases and politics. It is pretty open out there and you don't need to be sherlock holmes to discover her Hindu phobia.

Prof. Thapar says points with a lot of knowledge base, supporting with logic. Teesta is biased in proving a point about current regime having a agenda of saffronising education.
Interesting to listen a different view point, she explains very beautifully about the Ganpati/Ganesha elephant head.

“Scientists are silent” in India probably because they don’t want to be used for any propaganda and also they know they have the last laugh ultimately!!!!
I was just now watching Ganapathi procession where people were singing, dancing to the local rap songs and traditional rhythms simultaneously enjoying themselves , all in the presence of /aided by modern technology (cameras, lights, loud speakers, smartphones). Nobody seemed to care about larger than life (size ) Ganapathi who came last!!!!!. For most simpletons traditions/Gods are a source of entertainment/livelihoods enabled/enhanced by technology/ infotainment !!!! Science/technology has touched them directly like no other Gods ever. Just look at the gadgets/gizmos they are surrounded by!!’ Do scientists need to speak???

    Then vashav and shav
Then hindu for caste all thou hindu had varna peoples like you made caste.
This communist have habbit to divide in two example
Poor means exploit rich means cruel
Men means cruel another is women means victim. In same they had versus
    As
    Savera vs dalit
    Women vs men
    Rich vs poor
    Worker vs industries
    Government vs nexel
    Farmer vs government
The Communist are most dangerous snake and more poisonous then Islamist. If some one had to choice between snake and Communist choice snake. Snake can be kind but Communist cannot.

Clearly she has something against this present govt and would probably work for its downfall no matter how much progress this govt makes and would unequivocally deny any thing good about this govt. She is nuts and was totally surprised that Romila bluntly corrected her assumption that somnath was already destroyed many times by earlier indian kings.

Prof. Thapar is brilliant. Her way of putting forward her views is brilliant. No doubt. But Are her views are bias-free! She questions whey Arya Bhatta and others' knowledge in mathematics, astronomy etc. did not find continuity unlike with the discoveries of Copernicus etc. which formed basis for modern science in the west. She conveniently avoid mentioning burning of great libraries at Nalanda, Taxasila, etc. during the time of Muslim invasion, which caused discontinuity of knowledge in India. All most all the books were burnt.

Something not right. Only seems that Thapar presumes ANYTHING from a WHITE historian is the global truth and opinion of Indian ones laughable. Very condescending. Hmmmm
