  • hi everyone and welcome to the channel, this week im taking you around the gloucester spartans hunting course with mr tom calladine AKA 'crackshot' and half of it with mr john sturgeon.
a beautiful course on the banks of the river severn with 40 targets set up to simulate real life hunting. we have three shots per target and do a points system whereas if you hit it first time you score 1 point, 2nd time 2 points and so on. as you can see from the vid this is one hard course!
its a great way to practice for competition and we always have mini friendly tournaments among ourselves, it makes practicing a bit more interesting and enjoyable! sorry for the repeated 'shot' quotes, its what we do on a hit!
hope you enjoy the video and dont forget to like and subscribe

So I started shooting a month ago and I have the most fun learning slingshots/catapults, than I have in a long time. I can't wait until I get more consistent like you guys! I would l9ve to be able to sit down with somebody that has been shooting for longer, and ask questions. I notice that some people shoot with the forks tilted to the side and I'm curious what you use as an aiming point when you do that. Normally I would just try it and figure it out but my wife is ready to kill because of the holes ive put in my garage walls lol. I built a catch box but it's small so I don't want to xhange my technique to much and create more holes. Great vid, thank you!

Great video Keith and great shooting too! I am originally from Gloucester and never new the Spartans existed! I know you use 6mm and it obviously worked very well. Out of interest, what size ammo were the other guys shooting? I now live in Cyprus and shoot 8mm but just tried 6mm difficult to hold nicely for me (can't get 6.3mm) so thinking to try 7mm. Any thoughts please?

Not to be all earthy crunchy, but why not use clay balls? No Trash left behind....but even better they explode on impact👑

Personal choice riley, clay balls aren't anywhere near as accurate and the landowner doesn't mind us using steel so no problem:)

Targets are from 5m-100m, we all use different bands, I was in .45 bsb with 6mm steel
