I have a dear sweet boy that is a friend to me and my family, and he is Muslim and lives in Morocco. He is the sweetest, most kind , thoughtful and loving soul that I have had the pleasure of meeting. I consider him another son, as a mother would. I wish all people, including many Christians, would have one conversation with a person of the Muslim faith and really know what it is all about. Thank you for your content, it is most important!

Thank you so much John for this video. I live in a senior and disabled Hud building. Our mail carrier is a young Muslim man. He is very kind, caring, and respectful to the people who live here. He is especially kind to women. Ever since I had a bad fall last July he has been especially attentive to me and asks how I am doing. He gives me hugs which is something I read one place that Muslims shouldn't hug non Muslims. He hugs a couple other women too. I wanted to learn more about his beliefs so I can understand him. He appreciates when I ask him how he is doing because of what is happening in the world. He always says "so far so good". There are times he seems kind of sad, but is usually is in a good mood. Thank you for this information. We hear too many bad things about Muslims. Have a good day John!😊❤

My entire life when I have a strong belief in something and it is wrong, spirit will show me the correct path. There was a time when I used to teach anti-terrorism for the military. I spoke so bad about Muslims after 911. Then I met a Muslim young woman, we became friends, and three years later we would marry. Unbeknownst to her at the time, she changed a terrible bias I had, we raised a family, and are still together two decades later. I didn’t convert as she wanted, but she respects my spiritual beliefs as I respect hers. Somehow it works, we laugh, and have fun. I learned the same things you are teaching us. All good religions and beliefs have the same basic foundations of love and kindness. ❤.

Thank you so much, John, learned much from this lesson, all I was told was from chr4istianity, but here I learn the real story, I have been thinking of reading the koran to understand rather than fear the muslims and Islam, Thanks again, this is an eye opener.. I am second generation american. My ancestors where from Spain, and I had recently learned that at one time, Jew, Muslim, and Christian all lived, and got along in Spain, until the christians went nuts and started a conflict. Also, while Columbus was sailing westward, King Ferdinad, and Queen Isabella persecuted the Jews and drove about 800,000 out of Spain. The Sultan of Turkey, invited the Jews to come live in Turkey, a Muslim nation.

You should.. I don't think it will impress you vs the New Testament = is inspirational.. the quoran took a large population of strong paganism and had to make it very strict. It is also very confusing. So I understand what he is trying to do and it is right that most Muslims are peaceful..but until muslim countries make it totally legal to study or read anything else, I don't agree with it. I don't even think you can find a Bible in some countries.

Unfortunately like all "religions" it is open for corruption, cherry picking and misinterpretation by men's egos. Agendas influence the interpretations to control the masses. Egos need to protect one religion over others. The "One God" becomes divided by man's interpretations. We all need to get back to the basic message. "We ARE God"
"I Am who I Am" or "I Am THE I Am"

I said the Shahada in April. It was the Gospel of Thomas that got me to the Mosque. As said in the Gospel. If someone is gracious enough to accept me, I am to eat what they put in front of me and heal their sick. I am learning much about Prophet Muhammad pbuh and how to follow his way. However I am accepted as a follower of Prophet Isa pbuh. I had to humble myself and ask them how to pray (eat what they put in front of me). The Gospel of Thomas clearly tells me Prophet Isa was Muslim. Those with ears better hear. Christians are told to search for the lamb of God. When I entered the Mosque it was Islam, Is what! Is Lamb! Those with ears to hear better hear.

Jesus was not Muslim if anything his teachings had more Eastern influences .
If you took the time to read the new testament, or understand the gnostic gospels, Jesus was all about the spiritual world . Not to be enslaved by the Rabbic laws . Terrestrial things . Islam is totally about strict rules. And mixing jewish beliefs of Saturn.. look up the black cube.
I am glad that Prophet Muhammed pbu converter so many stubborn pagans into monotheism but don't think that Jesus was Muslim. Please 🙏

@@therecoveringcatholicGreetings. I like your channel. Anyone who embraces monotheism is considered to be Muslim. Simply because they submit to God and they do not associate other 'gods' with Allah in worship. In this context Isa (as) was Muslim. Also, we respect the Bible but we are commanded to uphold the words of Jesus, the Injeel, not the canonized versions we have today. Anything that goes against what Allah said is rejected. Like the story of Lot where his daughters got him drunk and slept with him to continue their bloodline. We don't believe Allah's prophets would ever fall into drunkenness and commit such an abomination. The content of the Bible has been changed and manipulated, so we don't accept all of it.

Bart Ehrman says in some of his books that even the word Christ or phrase “son of god” we’re prophetic titles like Muhammad believed. We are all the sons and daughters of God. That was the original teaching from Moses, and Jesus preached this too, and Muhammad solidified this. It seems man just adds to their founders to make one better than the other to create war and control land. I like to think all these Masters have their own unique expertise

I look at it all a bit different. I believe Allah wrote 1 book. It may have started with the Hindus or Buddhist. The first civilization. The last chapter is the Quran. The last chapter is the key that explains the entire book. Meaning i believe Allah sent every culture a chapter, yes humanity has corrupted much but the Quran is the final uncorrupted chapter that unlocks the truth in the rest. It all started to make sense after I read the Quran.

Listen to the CZcams of the son of Hamas to understand it's teachings following. I had many Moslem good sweet friends who later became wolves revealing the very dark primitive teachings hidden in the koran which now threatens or free will.

The reality is Judaism, Christianity, and Islam have beautiful teachings and troubling teachings. Their holy books have problematic teachings that don’t promote love along with passages that promote loving behaviors. All 3 treat women as we are of less value than men with almost no role in serving God. But making women cover themselves is especially disturbing to me. None of those religions offer much freedom in my humble opinion. I appreciate your highlighting of the peace and love promoted in Islam which is also promoted by the other 2 major religions. But what matters to me most is the harm all 3 religions cause to people and this is not negated by passages of their books that speak of love. All 3 religions have lots contradictory passages. However, I’m someone who respects that people need to pursue their own spiritual journey however they r led and I love and bless them all. Their good deeds r still a blessing to the world!

Islam is said to be a peaceful religion. I just struggle to understand Surah 9:5 which says: "But once the Sacred Months have passed, kill the polytheists ˹who violated their treaties˺ wherever you find them, capture them, besiege them, and lie in wait for them on every way. But if they repent, perform prayers, and pay alms-tax, then set them free. Indeed, Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful."
    For me this is violence.
That being said I am not giving a pass to Christianity simply because the crusaders were not Muslims.
Jesus preached LOVE yet crusaders practiced the opposite.

    • @therecoveringcatholic
      @therecoveringcatholic  Před měsícem

It is an interesting argument to be sure. However, you must remember the Quran was written over 600 years after the time of Jeshua. this comes after years of persecution. Persecution by pagan.Roman rulers, Jewish sects and ruling authorities. taking this out of the context of history, is not quite fair. Christianity is the deadliest religion in the world, bar none. no other religion in the world comes close to the death associated to the name of Jesus Christ. This isn't only from ancient times or medieval times. This goes on today. The Vatican supported Adolf Hitler. The crusaders were very small part. Catholic Church decimated south and Central America. The Catholic Church decimated other Christians in Europe. Christians fleeing Catholics, Native American, tribes and cultures. To take one statem of the Quran without looking at the Old Testament, which is filled with violence against everyone. Including one story where God said two bears to kill 42 children because they made fun of a bald man is like the pot calling the kettle black. George Bush Junior told the Saudi Prince his Christian God told him to invade Iraq. 5000 American soldier died in that war more than half a million. Iraqis died in that war. I could list all the violin acts done again, people who thought differently in the Bible, but there's just not enough space.

What you are saying and the reality are two different things.. is the same thing as saying that the Christians that don't understand the New Testament or even don't read it, are doing the right thing.
I am glad you are humanizing islam .which is much needed.
There are many things that is okay with islam but believe me i wouldn't want sharia law, is like being in the colonies during the time of the pilgrims
We have the freedom as Christians to explore. Not in Islam.. at least not 90%. so sorry but is a bit naive.
And they folow strict law . And they don't follow Just the quoran, just like the jews don't follow Just the Torah
They even have a chapter on Mary very nice but it is unthinkable to read any other scripture for them. so they become stuck . Old testament mentality Law ..law.. law very little Holy Spirit.
If we think Christians are dogmatic and our scriptures get misinterpreted.. we are minuscule in comparison

Doesn't not historical facts prove Islam had a violent crusade just as Christianity did? Isn't that how it spread across Africa and Asia? Are pretty words in a book enough to ignore the founders acts? Didn't Muhammad marry a 6 yr old child? Didnt he fight 29 battles in his his lifetime? Did Moses order violence as well ? The Koran is one book the Hadith is another Islamic book that verifies some of these acts of Muhammad. The Book preaches peace but the author and his people make war and conquest forced conversions what am I to think? Are not All three of these religions historically violent? Where is the love and peace here? Is it OK to preach love and peace in a book but practise violent conquest? What I love about Jesus Is he lived love and peace not just talked about it. Jesus did not invent Christianity which is a European religion.
