Another trick is to use your finger as a make shift lint brush on cloth - wrap it in double-sided scotch tape (the double sided is easier to wrap around your finger than regular scotch tape) and pat the figure 'til all the lint is removed. This is really useful on figures with dark clothes (like ROTJ Luke Skywalker) where the lint and dust really show up.

Old video but some great tips! I just started collected Hot Toys 1/6 Scale Figures. Sadly I don’t currently have a display case and am thinking of getting one because i do smoke let alone have dogs so yeah, lot of dust and nastiness going around the house. I was more or less wondering what spray and rags are best to use when wiping down the body parts, armor, etc let alone the best way to clean the fabric. I accidentally dropped my Luke Skywalker behind a shelf and notice with a uv light it did get quite dirty. I just don’t wanna ruin anything.

Thank you for the tips, this is very helpful and all I needed to hear, glad I found your video. Just started to collect and the figures will keep rolling starting next year. Now, I do not like the glass displays, or glass for the matter since it is very "cold" for me so I have an Ikea bookcase to display, AC/ Heat for Winter summer ~ temp at 24-25 Celsius throughout the year, no sunlight and humidity at ~40 - 50% since I am in Europe continental, are this conditions proper? If not I can adjust. The biggest issue is then the dust, and I am terrified of cleaning it regularly since it takes so much time to do it properly, so my question is, how often should I do this, considering that I dread doing it in general. Thank you for the tips, keep it up and love your collection.

High end figures should be using leather not pleather. Leather is not that expensive. They would get more than their money's worth from a full hide. Leather comes in all thicknesses, (think about a leather wallet) It's perfect for figures clothing and lasts much much longer than fake leather. plus it wears beautifully if you handle figures a lot, depending on the leather and the look you want. Pleather flakes and looks hideous. For what you pay for these figures leather is a no brainer. We should expect the best form these companies.

Hey man! Just left a comment on another vid of yours about the camera angle looking straight up your nose… this vid is a little better… I ended up subscribing you to your channel because you seem like a chill dude. However- another piece of constructive critique- if you’re going to take the time to edit your videos, then you can go ahead and do a re-take whenever you have a truck driving through your neighborhood. Don’t call attention to it. Some people argue it makes you look more “human” when you acknowledge mistakes/bloopers/unexpected sounds, but the reality is it presents an unprepared video. Sure, you didn’t expect the truck barreling through your neighborhood, but instead of pausing and saying “oh. Don’t pay attention to that” just re-record and edit. Not trying to be an ass, I promise. Just ask yourself if you make these videos for fun or if you hope to build your base and monetize your videos? Not saying I can do better- just saying if I were to try, these are the things I would look out for before I post.
