When I go to a buffet, I like to get tiny amounts of everything. After sampling everything I go back and get more of what I liked.
That is exactly the right way to eat at a buffet. Well played
You must be fat
FastJimmyC good idea. I havent been to a buffet in over a decade but i want to now.

Smart strategy !
Thanks :)

Getting the Cops Called on You for Eating too much at the Buffet, Is one of the most American things ever 😂
is there a case like this already.. i never heard of it yet

I always starve myself a day before going to the buffet.
😂😂😂😂
That's the spirit!
I would only starve myself from morning then go in the afternoon any longer and my plan would backfire cause my stomach would shrink.
Yukihira Soma lol exactly! Thats why i always warn my friend against entirely skipping meals prior to buffet. May as well cut down on your portion for meals before buffet rather than starve yourself altogether
That’s the asian way😂
When I lived in Korea, the Buffets there made you pay extra for uneaten food.
we don’t do that in the NORTH
The japanese resturants do that here as well
That's because eastern cultures value food, and wasting it by not finishing the meal you took is a travesty. Take all you want but eat all you take.
I think I can enjoy there. All the food that lands on my plate is half way done already
Not just in Korea but all buffet restaurants in Asia. Either a flat rate or double the cost

I was once asked to leave an IHOP on all you can eat pancake day when it wasn't a regular thing. I ate a full meal and 9 cakes. When I asked for more, they brought 2 in a box with the bill. To be fair, I asked them if they had a record # for the store. Since they didn't, I told them I'd set one. I guess they didn't think I was serious.

The more reasonable way I've seen buffets get around the "huge guy eating all the food" problem is that they have a time limit of like 1-2 hours so you can't just come in at lunch and pig out all day.
My local has that for evening buffets, where they charge a lot more and have mongolian bbq too, but the lunch buffet is like half the price, most of the same food too and basically you can eat until they stop the lunch serving 11:30 - 14:30, but still the evening buffet is a 2 hour limit, which is reasonable for anyone except land whales.
Or they serve the food and space it out.

They called the cops on a guy for eating too much at an all you can eat buffet? LOL
He had the cops called on him for not leaving when asked, this guy was filling baggies full of fish at an fish fry, not a buffet. He was a known local jerk not just some guy who ate too much like this video seems to portray him as.
Rachel Munz: OK, still, its a funny story.
Yeah like you obviously failed reading comprehension.
The video said not one chinese peep about food in baggies.
So relating a story of some inbred tard that brought ziplocks or how you sneak alcohol in a douche bottle ( ingenious ) that has nothing to do with what was stated is typical of the modern fearful citizen simp out there.
Like Homer Simpson episode in 90's lol
Rachel Munz that makes more sense, attempting to steal food is completely different. If they try to kick you out for eating too much that's false advertisement
Also, they oversalt their foods which gets you to drink more which expands the food in your stomach. This is especially true for crab legs.
Wow, they oversalt their crab legs?
4:16 For years I used to go to Las Vegas for the cheap buffets, not for gambling. In recent years, Las Vegas' buffets have become a lot more expensive. But the food is not better than before.

*AND KEEP WHAT YOU KILL*
Good message 👌🏽
I worked as cook in a popular buffet and we never kicked anyone out for eating too much. I often encouraged people to try to get their money’s worth($25 a person) by suggesting the prime rib and crab legs. Every weekend we had king crab and I would mix more in, against my superiors orders, because people wanted it more than the snow crab. The only time I got someone kicked out was when a lady took one out carving knives and put it in her purse.
You're cool.
Inhad the pleasure of watching an old raggedy hobo get beaten to death and head crushed in by an employee with this massive ladle as the bum. Grabbed a bunch of things with his hands and was chowing down. This was a buffet in Texas. And so many people wanted to shoot the hobo That the employee was shot a dozen and killed as well
70% of americans are overweight or obese. I just felt like throwing that in the comment section.
didthelel - No it’s actually true.
You could have just said “overweight” obese is obviously overweight dumbass
it's true. I looked it up
Thanks for that info
It's not only Americans anymore. Kuwait has the largest rate of obesity in the world, and Europeans aren't that far behind these days either...
I remember when buffets were really popular in the 1960's. Cheap too. They were good because they were busy, and busy because they were good. Always bringing out fresh, hot food and plenty of people in line to eat it. It didn't sit in a chafing pan for hours.
the 80's were probably the pinnacle for the buffet, with dozens and dozens of them all around- Ponderosa, Bonanza, Shoney's, Duff's, Old Country Buffet, and Ryan's all grew rapidly in the 80's.
The story about the banning is incorrectly portrayed. He called the police on the establisment because they refused him further service. He ate 12 fried fish fillets at an all you can eat fish fry. He was then cut off, but they gave him a take out container with 8 additional fillets. He then called the police because he claims they violated the 'all you can eat' agreement. He was banned however because he had a running tab that he didn't pay, he boycotted the establishment with signs, and he consistently gave the staff trouble on fish fry days. He was disruptive and a menace, which isnt to say he should have been cutoff, but the establisment had a long running issue with him and his behavior. Personally Id say hes a disgusting slob of a man, which again, doesnt mean an 'all you can eat' restaurant should not allow its customers to eat all they can.
Josphelli hsilak he was also giving food to his friend which was against the rules of the fish fry
Sounds like Homer Simpson
Well, there we go. I headed to the comment section looking for this comment. Knew something was fishy about that story.
If you don vialoate the All you can eat agreement you can eat how much you want. They can not throw you out because of you eating to much or you being "unprofitible" they can hoewer choose to not let you in next time. but as soon as you paid thats a valid contract.
A Running Tab At An All You Can Eat Fish Fry..?? This Comment To "Set Straight" The Videos Story Seems More Absurd Than The Videos Portrayal Of What Happened...
Who Runs A Tab For A Buffet And Why Wouldn't They Have Him Pay Off The Tab Before The Occurrence Of This Final Time When They Actually Cut Him Off With A "Farewell, To Go Container"? Still.. When They Agreed To Allow Him To Partake In That Particular "All You Can Eat" Then That Makes Irrelevant The Previous Tab Unpaid And He Should Be Allowed To Be Waited & Served Like All Other Customers Partaking In That Same Menu Choice For The Night... Now If There's Fine Print (like, All You Can Eat, *Limit 12 Filets Per Each Buffet Customer* Then That Would Make More Sense... Also The Only Other Part Of This "Clear Up" Is The Part About Sneaking Food To A Buddy/Non-Paying Customer... That Is Stealing Really And That Makes Perfect Sense Then... The Rest Though...😕
Covid-19: *imma bout to end this whole mans career*

Never seen or heard of anyone getting banned or having the police called on them for eating too much at an all-you-can-eat buffet...unless they were trying to steal food and take it home.
I used to be policeman in a fairly large city. We had a captain and a lieutenant banned from a local buffet for making absolute pigs of themselves (no pun intended) at a local buffet. The restaurant had a policy of letting on duty officers eat free, which was created in order to ensure a police presence. These two idiots would put their uniforms on and go there on their days off and eat for hours. If I had been chief I would have fired the both of them. They changed it to half price later, because the department declared free meals a gratuity, and banned us from eating anywhere that offered a gratuity to on-duty officers. I was fine with that; I didn’t want anyone to feel that I should be beholden to them.
I recall a news article from the UK being ridiculed on TV, 2 guys had been banned from an all you can eat because the owner said they were putting him out of business. It's not illegal as the staff do reserve the right to refuse entry regardless of the reason.
I once stayed 2 days in a 24 hour buffet. Employees didn't notice because I would move to different seats every couple of hours. All I did was eat and watch movies on my phone.
Baked Beanie Sigel And sleep sitting upright?
I took a 2 or 3 naps in the bathroom stalls, but for the most part I didn't sleep much.
Baked Beanie Sigel Sooooo...why? I mean, why spend two entire days in restaurant?
Yeah....I'm going to add that to my list of things that never happened.
@Mary Anne Brown To save money. I only paid for one meal, and ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner, for 2 days.
That was my second favorite Joey line from Friends. They were in Vegas and when he saw the buffet, he said "this is where we get all our money back!"
Everybody has their own personal strategy to eat as much as possible and we all think we have the right strategy.
When I go to buffets, I don't drink anything until I'm done eating.
Monsieur Saintvil or just get water
That’s what I do, well I wait till I finish my meal and I drink my last bit of soda
Monsieur Saintvil lol. I wish I would. Thing is like Chinese? I got straight for the noodles and rice with sweet tea.
Yeah cool, i tried that once but my chewed food got stuck half way down. I suck on ice cubes, & eat plenty of watermelon or peaches.
No way the greatest thing is a giant freezing cold cocacola with the buffet..it is worth the extrs cash!
I saw this lady eat 5 plates of food and then stuff food in ziplock. How embarrassing when they walked out ahead of her and back in she came hanging her head low. They took her picture and banned her.
that's pretty funny
That lady is dumb. If she was caught she should have just walked out. No need to take a picture to make it even more embarrassing.
Sulfen they call the police and put hands on you, its stealing. It would be like taking food from a store, better be able to run, dodge and weave.

I love buffets! I always get small amounts of everything and always leave my plate empty before I get more
I remember in college i would always sneak up some (a lot actually) sushi in my secret bowl under the table. Man said all you can eat, but never said where :)
I used to do both KFC and pizza hut buffet when I was in college. They'd let us study for hours and we could keep eating as long as we stayed. They always had business.
My older brother and four of his buddies were once asked to leave an all-you-can-eat rib joint. My brother and his best friend alone were like a thousand pounds they said they couldnt get them cooked fast enough and still keep up with the rest of the 'normal' demand! :P
I start with Alaskan crab legs, lobster tail, shrimp, ribs. I stay away from the fried rice, noodles, ie empty carbs .
amen, i go for the crab legs, sushi, shrimp and oysters, all the most exspensive items

I use one of the buffet containers!
It doesn't bother me at all that the restaurant makes a profit. If they didn't they would have never opened their doors. I get a good meal at a fair price. If I didn't I wouldn't choose to eat there. I don't have to eat all I can. I eat enough to sate my appetite. Any more than that and I would be wasting money trying to get the pounds off later. Your mother was wrong when she told you to finish your plate. Eating too much is not healthy and a waste of exercise.
BTW, I already know how any business makes money. Its called buying something and selling it for more. Product or service, it matters not.
More chewing and less yammering please.
Your mother isnt wrong to tell you to finish your food lmao
Very sane comment. Except your mother asking you to finish the plate. That's for making you to learn to get only what you want in your plate.

Back in the day, that is, 45 years ago I happened to work at a penitentiary in a small state with a small population. There were only 850 men at the single penitentiary. Another 150 men were occupied at the State Farm, growing the food and animals that fed the prison population and staff. I was at a college even smaller than that but I can honestly say that I had the best institutional food in my life at that penitentiary, because it was good and well prepared. The bonus was having to go to the women's unit from time to time since they got a portion of the same food when it was being offloaded for the men's Institution. The really nice thing about it was that the women rotated in the kitchen and made Home recipes just like their moms and their Grandma's had taught them.
What has happened since then? As for the women, they have grown up not knowing how to cook. But the key thing with food is that the failed drug war has so increased the population of prisoners that they are being fed on pennies per meal margins, processed food, and what can only be called marginally food. I once saw in a bulk walk-in freezer a product I know for a fact came from the mafia, marked meatballs for spaghetti, not less than 48% meat, leaving up to 52% four sets of the poles or just plain cellulose
I worked a small family style buffet place while going to school. They never wasted anything. They would put out Fried Chicken, then what ever was left over would get a dunk in BBQ sauce and put back out as BBQ chicken. The BBQ sauce would disguise the fact that the chicken wasn't fresh. If they put out baked chicken the next night the leftovers would go into Chicken Pot Pie or some kind of soup. We also had a cold side that had cold stuff and fruit. If it was a slow night I would make a fruit platter with nice sized portions of Oranges Watermelon, Cantelope, etc. When we were really super busy I would get a good sharp knife and turn the fruit platter into a work of art but the slices were so thin you could literally see through them. It was a pleasant edible decoration and people usually wouldn't take very much so it would last longer and I didn't have to keep filling it up every 5 minutes. At first I felt like I was sort of taking advantage of people but then I started getting compliments on my fruit platters which would kind of inspired me to make new and different patterns and designs. I remember helping unload the truck when it came in and we would get big 50 or 100 pound bags of potatos, onions and carrots. I don't know if we had genetically modified vegetables back in the 80s but some of the carrots we got in were damn near as big as my leg. The would always be busted open down the length of the thing like they grew too fast or something but working one up was like working a piece of wood. Like whittling on a big tree limb.
BOBBY! That's my purse! I D O N T K N O W Y O U
Cool! Yeah thats what I do. Turn leftovers into a different food! Like making thanksgiving turkey into -chicken- turkey salad.
I'm glad they try not to waste. Stuff that sits out too long, yeah that should be thrown out. But fresh food can be refrigerated, and turned into something else good!
Bobby Spurlock sweet. I worked in food processing for a bit. More on the production side. Deboning, cutting stew meat, and packaging. There are many money saving techniques that companies use that the public is kept in the dark about. Most are methods of short changing the consumers. Adding fat and water mostly. What you described wasnt a shock but im sure most people think something else.
Reminds me of an old saying.. "people like hamburgers but dont want to see them made" I think these days more people are willing to see them made.. And made well.
I'm a country boy so I've worked up a lot of wild game. Never knew the proper way to make cuts but just kinda made it up as I went. Worked with some ex-meat cutters so I learned a few things from listening to them. One summer the power company screwed something up and we were without power for about 4 or 5 days so later they kinda did like a class action thing where the gave anyone who applied so much money per person in the household. We have a good size family so it came out to a pretty good chunk of change. We had never done it before but we decided to use the money to buy a beef and a hog for the freezer. For the money that was a lot of meat. Had a full size stand up freezer and an old side by side refrigerator with a freezer on the side and still had to go buy a small chest type freezer to get it all in. It was an investment. Compared to store prices it was dirt cheap and the quality is so much better. When browning hamburger for chili, spaghetti or whatever, it never had to be drained. Literally from a 2 pound bag of burger you might get a half a teaspoon of water and fat from it. If you started with 2 pounds you ended with 2 pounds. No loss. If you go buy Walmart burger, it doesn't matter if you get the 75/25 or the 80/20 it's all the same. More like 50/50. It's about half meat and half water that you have to drain off and throw out. If you pay $5 a pound for Walmart hamburger you are actually paying $5 for a half pound of meat or $10 a pound. Chickens are the same way. It should be illegal. Yeah, most people think their meat comes from a happy magical place.
Bobby Spurlock most awful place's to eat is Chinese all you can eats GARBAGE all of it they try to change the name into some hip replacement but it's the same crappy food I can get from the 5 places we passed up along the way with a different name I am not a fool I skip them eat at a regular Chinese restaurant.

I hate buffets. The food is sometimes siting there for to long. Also I weigh 130 lbs and 4 foot 8 inches so they make a very good profit from me. When I was younger, I could do about three rounds of eating. Now I do just 1 or 1.5 rounds. I just treat it as a place to get some food for under $10, which is harder to do a a sit-down restaurant
But just remember, coffee or soda is still a big seller and profit. Any restaurant, even donut shops, make a lot of money on the beverages.
Coffee and soda are cheap. mostly water. and they can charge you anything they want for it.

talking about all you can eat, IHOP all you can eat pancakes when you requested for more take's them thirty minutes to send you out more pancakes after making a request each time. They don't refill them in a hurry. They take their time for a little stack of pancakes.
Order another batch as soon as the first batch comes out and repeat. All you can eat pancakes is a waste of money unless the price is reasonable because pancakes is nothing but bread. Red lobsters all you can eat shrimp is where the deal is at. They've started to add brown rice under the shrimp in an attempt to fill you up faster now. Eat only the shrimp, do not order the shrimp alredo until last, do not eat the bisuits.

If you're going to a buffet to get "the most for your money," that's a losing battle, like this video points out. However, if you're going for the variety, then that's where a buffet really shines, because in what other restaurant environment can you get a meal consisting of salmon, popcorn shrimp, slices of roast beef, a bowl of soup, a cinnamon roll, a side of mashed potatoes, and fried okra? Nowhere that I know of, and if you did, it would cost a fortune, not because of the quality or amount of food, but because of the diversity of items on the plate. Buffets are a godsend for the indecisive. You don't run into the problem of ordering chicken and then partway through realizing, "I should have gotten the post roast." Get up, and go get some pot roast. It's like magic.
@U Betcha waders, "I was duck hunting, didn't have time to change."
Yeah before I watched this, I've worked in one before and I realized it the first day. In simple terms, pay per head costs 10-12x of 1 plate in other resto, and an average customer gets full after the 5th plate so the rest is the profit.
Ahhh I missed that one time I went to a buffet as a kid , if only I knew how precious food was back then
When I go to a buffet, all I eat is Alaskan crab legs, sashimi (no sushi, no rice). Definitely no soup, avoid drinking.
Si_Vis_Pacem Para_Bellum we don't have that here unfortunately, we only have Chinese buffets with sushi only, we only have fake crab meat here...
Big Brody I live in Seattle, almost every buffet has salmon sashimi and crab legs 😂 I guess that's one of the perks of living near the sea/ocean. Chinese food aren't designed to be eaten in a buffet form tho.. that's the biggest scam. The essence of Chinese food is to make you full with as little actual food as possible lol cuz back then normal Chinese didn't have much access to food.
Si_Vis_Pacem Para_Bellum OK I see, I live in Austria
dont forget the oysters
Big Brody I have to drive 2 hours if I wanna get some decent European food 😂
When I go to a restaurant, I want to eat - not sit around and eat bread and lettuce for 20 minutes. That's why I like these buffets - go there and eat - not wait. Also, if I want an extra portion of something - no problem.
some buffets offer off menu or special order items like soups, salads, desserts. Boston lobster feast in Orlando FL is like that.
You are spot on and you also get to taste and try out different stuff..It is not the volumes that drives me but the variations that the buffets offers.
That's very true actually. I know it's obvious but I had never thought of the time saved at buffets if you don't feel like staring at a bad painting for 30 min. or forced conversation to not be the odd silent table.

To make money on a buffet you need turnover, lots of people. You do serve yourself but staff brings you drinks and takes your dirty plates and cleans up your mess. So leave 10% tip, they need it.
@george spear waiter don't expect big tip at a buffet because all they're doing is filling your drinks. 10% is a good tip at a buffet unless you're rich and don't give a s*** about your money.
Thanks for this! I'm planning to start my own restaurant, so this gives me an idea how to run it lol
It never ceases to amaze me how gross the hot-and-sour soup is on a Chinese buffet versus the yummy kind that's made fresh for you if you order a large bowl of it off the menu.
“All you can eat buffet, not all day buffet! You been here fo four hour...You go now!”
I read this in an Asian lady voice
My dad had a friend that would stay from breakfast to dinner. No lie.
Lol. I read it in my asain man voice lol
Sun of a bitch. You big guy. You here foh hour. Why you not eat brocorri!?
@@shitbrick5030 lol
There used to be an Asian buffet near my house that had sushi, whole crabs, duck wraps and all kinds of meats and soups and desserts. I miss it, it was demolished to build an apartment building
Buffets are great when you go with big family.
Talking about size of people, not number of people
Growing up, my dad wouldn’t let us drink our waters at the buffets. He wanted us to get full from food only. We were not allowed to eat rice, pizza, pasta, fruit, cakes etc. Just meat (cooked from the chef in front of you) and vegetables. Lol he used to say, make a dent children. Five of us. 😂 We waited until our stomach digested to eat again. We were there for hours! My dad was cheap by the way. Love you Pappy!!
And you guys grow up to be successful busninessmen. Not sure if that's true, but you know what I mean.
Lol nice
Abena Walker do you know my father?
He sounds like he was frugal and wise, you have a nice smile.
Dad sounds like an a-hole
Watching this during a pandemic...oh the memories
😂😂😂😭😭😭😭
I love the buffet. I try to take smaller portions of things so that I can try more of whats out.
I treat buffets like 4-course meals. First soup/salad, then appetizers, then main course and then dessert. It keeps me from wandering around endlessly, randomly filling my next plate with sushi, prime rib and pizza......however it can be a nice treat when the au jus mixes with the ranch, stir them together then pour them over the pizza and prime rib!!!!
Thanks for telling us what Psychology Today thinks about this subject.
I love buffets. It’s so fun picking out your own food and me I try to eat low carb so it feels good that I can pick all the protein and veggies that I want. And it’s a Buffet that I go to in Atlantic City that makes these great salsa and cheese dips. They are so good. The only thing that bothers me is when grown people load up on french fries or pizza at a buffet. Leave that for the kids and get your moneys worth. I’m going for the seafood and steak and some places have good stuffed chicken breast. You don’t want to waste your appetite on common foods
Whenever the parents says we going to buffet tommarow, I starve up the day of. Lol
One ex coworker of mine whom came in at about 450lbs. absolutely loved all you can eat buffets. He told me (before he went on permanent disability) one trick he would do is find out what time the dinner priced menu starts and get there at the tail end of the cheaper lunch menu and put something small in front of him and pick at it making it look like he's actively eating. Then when the dinner items come out he gorges himself with the more expensive dinner menu food items, but with the cheaper lunch menu price. I never endeavored to take his advice on this nor will I as I would rather not be bed ridden and have all kinds of health problems the rest of my life.
Michael B. You don't do it often just do it once
Not all heroes wear capes, some wear bibs...
Michael B. In most places they will just charge you with the dinner fee:/
Christy Sorry to disappoint you, but yes. Couldn't agree with more as it's astounding being able to collect money simply for eating too much and not taking any pride in themselves. I guess some people have no shame.
There probably is some underlying mental health issue. Most people don't want to be that fat and unhealthy.
Being that overweight, dude is likely to die young.
For those of you who remember Hill St. Blues, who remembers the episode when Hill and Renko are called to an all-you-can-eat restaurant to arrest one customer who was actually eating from the buffet table. When the two cops arrived and took one look at the customer, Renko says, "Bobby, he's eating for five people. OMG! He IS five people!"
LMAO
Whenever I would go to a Christmas dinner not a company sponsored, I enjoyed watching the big eaters eat. Awm
Best all-you-can-eat buffet ever was Boston Navy Shipyard at the Marine's chow hall in 1970. Big menu, lots of food and a dollar fifty. One rule, you had to finish/clean your plate. Works for me.
Now I'm hungry😭
This video makes me want to go have Rodízio with the salad bar!
The best buffets I've been to were the Caesars palace Casino & Hotel buffet in AC and Vegas, the Rio Casino buffet, and the Flamingo buffet. Caesars is my favorite. I've been there lots of times over the years and they have stayed consistently good as far as the quality and taste of their food.
Pasta is dirt cheap, and restaurants make a ton off drinks. A soda is what, $4 at a restaurant? Costs them a nickel.
That must be a HEll of a soda for $4?
Not too different the profit margin in restaurants are alway best for drinks especially alcohols specifically mixed drinks and liqour shots. Its amazing to get 30% profit for every dish serviced drinks however depending on what it is around50-90% profit 60oz bottle of Jack daniels about 40bucks here retail. Sell 60 1oz. Shots at 3dollars you turned 40bucks into $180. Almost 80% profit and you know they probably brought bulk with a discount of 10 per bottle and they won't spoil or need refrigeration
This is why i get water.
Sodas are the highest item ANYWHERE ! Mc Donalds or anyplace. Thats where they make their money.
I'm in Canada, even a coffee is almost 3 bucks at a restaurant now. I never drink soda for this very reason.
I only clicked this cuz I'm going to hibachi grill next Monday 😂
How was it
I don’t know why, but that miniature drink song is catchy asf!?😂😂💀💀💀 2:39
I eat till they bring me the bill & say thank you 😁 thats when i calmly get up😌 & go for pastries and ice cream😂
pirruri pirruri Me too, but I don't eat a lot.
I eat a couple plates, and then my desert, basically same as at home, almost.
But if they get ballsy and bring me the check after I only had 2 plates.
NAWH. My ass is going for "1 more round," and you better believe it's gonna be like 3 plates stacked to the ceiling with meat and shrimp.
pirruri pirruri That's the way to eat 👍
pirruri pirruri that happens at a chinese japanese buffet near me every time they see your plate empty they say "Thank you for coming"
pirruri pirruri OMG I do the same😁 and I don't drink no liquid cause thats the trick.
Murrica, land of the fatasses.
*The dude in Wisconsin who was banned also had unpaid credit from the fish fry buffet, and still made demands about how much food they should serve to him, don’t leave out that detail. Nobody is going to jail just for stuffing their face.*
2021: What is this thing you call buffets? 🧐
There is a Thai place near me that only has an all you can eat buffet one day a week for dinner only. It is SO much better than normal buffet as its cooked by their normal chef, and they prep each pan as needed. Its a little pricey at $15, but drinks are also part of it so its a flat $15+tax. I still tip cause the guys running the pans and filling drinks are super fast. Its the only buffet I dare go to anymore.
Sounds delicious!
I never wondered how they made money
I already knew.
Me either.
I never wondered either because I've gone with many people who pay $20 for a dinner buffet to eat 1 little plate of food.. They wouldn't make any money if every one ate 5 big plates like me.
Then why you clicked on the video?
Liar.... Otherwise, why are you here!
Never put rice or mashed potato on ur plate when u go to a buffet restaurant & say no to soda just drink water, carbonated beverages could easily make u full hot tea is better it helps u digest ur food
I try to drink ice tea or fruit juice. as noted soda can fill you up. It's interesting about the meats & high end items. ceces pizza buffets go cheap. They now add fewer pizza toppings from ten years ago....
Lito Resurreccion i know what you mean but you shouldnt really use “never”
Some people like what they eat and you should respect that
[TF] Rickson you should respect that Some People like water or hot tea while they eat,
Real Fresh i never said i didnt smh
Yes, there are many things one shouldnt eat at a buffet place. But when i go out to eat at a buffet place, i go to enjoy myself. Not restrict myself. Mashed potatoes and sodas are among my favorites at the buffet place. After all, im not going out of my way to a buffet place, pay good money to eat there, only to drink water.
Pasta is a big help. It's so cheap to start with and it feels you up quickly.
Hey! Big boy. You go now! You been here four hour!
Chinese noodle
Eat vegetable you so big!!!
OK Jackie Chan
I would still weigh under 125 pounds instead of 225 lbs. if i had no choice but to eat Cats, & Bats. The truth, no hate intended! @ Geoffrey Thomas.
When I was 16 I worked at my aunt´s buffet restaurant down in Mexico. Once I was inducted and shown how the bussiness was run, I never saw Buffet restaurants as an option to dine.
Roy Fokker that’s in Mexico fam
Roy Fokker
If I had to listen to everyone that tells me about how they used to work in this or that restaurant, I wouldn't ever dine anywhere
Taco Bell keeps me regular
That's cause it was in fuckin Mexico . Comparing third world shit to be first world .
@@VixxKong2 yeah maybe thats for good reason.
Buffets buy food in large quantity, thereby securing bulk food prices. The real money in a buffet in Texas is charging separately for the beverage. Soft drinks cost $.16 per glass to produce for the buffet, and here in Texas, they charge $1.98 for drinks on average.
Try denmark where drinks cost 8 euros lol.
literally half the price of going to a buffet in the first place.
Joke's on them! Just get 12 or more refills, and you'll come out on top! Hell...any Chinese buffet I've gone to they practically hang over your shoulder the entire time trying to fill your glass back up after each sip anyway.
Corey
That’s so true lol. What’s worse at a Chinese buffet is when you’re almost done and they ask about a refill and you say “just fill it up half way I’m almost done” and here they come with their big gulp size cup full to the top.
@@brandonpayne7240 they wanna fill you with cheap soda instead of seafood
Roberto Gonzalez
Damn it coming back to read a reply made me now start crock he Chinese food.
Never thought I needed to watch this video.
AYCEB, here I come.
When i hit the Chinese Buffet i always bee line for the 5 spice roast pork..beautiful.
Always love the “chef” who appears at the meat station to “hand carve” your choice of meat. Let’s be honest, here. That “chef” is simply standing guard.
I love when they cut you a “sliver” of meat. I’ll do the dance the first time, but my second time back, I’m calling the shots. Start carving...roast beef, ham and turkey.
John Larson 😂
Let's be real if they didn't have a staff member carving it, it would be a total mess. People are shit at cutting meat properly haha
Let's be honest imagine that roast beef after someones kids gets ahold of it.
RoMayDrako lol
They could carve it in the kitchen and bring it out pre-cut, no the carving "chef" is a guard to make sure you don't snag too much meat.
Ironically them talking abour ovation brand saving money by reducing waste, they went bankrupt 2 years ago and the shut down a 150 some stores. I use to work there
now i wanna goto a buffet 😭 looks so yummy
This would pop up in my feed during these times
Thanks Google!
Just came home from an All-you-can-eat, and this video is on my home screen....
Luuk Wuijster your phone is always listening to you, just so you know. Advertisements will reflect that.
That thing about the drinks is no joke. I remember a few years back, 4 of us went to a "free" buffet at a casino. The only thing you had to pay for was your drink. No matter what you got, it was $8 a drink and that even included water and you had to buy a drink. At 1st, I thought $32 for 4 of us to eat all we wanted was still a deal. Then I saw the food. The casino buffet was definitely the ones on the winning end.
I tried the lasagna. It was a carver's favorite so I gave it a try. It was a hot day...
All food are cooking with (baking soda )witch make you feel full after 2 ND plate .
How does that work?
how?
I've never thought of others at a buffet. I just figured they'd make more
Wait what!? We go from being banned from a buffet, to jail food? That's kind of a weird juxtaposition.
I know right that shit threw me off too. I guess he was referencing people who steal the buffet food not the over eaters lol.
It was alright. I think the juxtaposition works because of the image.
Fear mongering is what it is.
Hunger = state sponsored castration
I'm glad this video pointed out how the ingredients used are usually the cheapest available. And how often do you get a stomach ache even if you don't overeat?
I need only meat and potatoes to feel content.
The more you diversify your food, the more money you spend.
If you keep it down to the basics you will save a lot of money.
