  • In this video 6013 Padding Beads with Lincoln Ranger 225 Pt.2, I'm going to show how to weld a pad of beads with Lincoln 3/32 6013 rods.
Padding beads is a useful practice because it teaches you how to overlap beads for multi-pass beads, buildup, and hard-facing of material. In this video i show padding beads and welding with a Lincoln Ranger 225. Padding beads is the best way to learn how to weld with any electrode! So go out and practice padding beads yourself and see how your weling improves afterwards!

My problem is, I can't weld in a straight line to save my life.

It’s something that takes lots of practice, even someone like me has issues sometimes! A trick you can practice would be to use soapstone to make a straight line that you can use when practicing to keep your welds in a straight line
