Bro, your my new hero. Im currently practicing stretching and yoga up to 3 hrs. a day. Im 64 and lost a lot mobility do to injury and then a sedentary life stlye. Im fighting back and fighting hard. I've made major improvement in pain mobility and strength. Just this week I was thinking that I need to start adding balancing poses...you just gave me new goals to achieve...rock on! What happens as you get older is usually an injury or surgery that is a big set back - but you’re definitely right as far as being in shape will help you recover even if something happens

It honestly just seems like a normal way to put on socks and shoes .. people don't do it this way? I'm 54 and almost always get dressed like this. Well not on a wobbly surface like that, but still.
I started doing Bosu ball 20+ years ago, I'm 67 now. Kung fu had already improved my balance, then one day I saw a young woman balancing on a Bosu ball and thought "That is cool!" At first I did it using the barre for balance. If I let go my legs and the ball would go into an uncontrollable oscillation. But I persisted, and now I do kung fu kicks and other exercises on it. I recommend doing it barefoot or with minimalist shoes. Also, I recommend doing something like Tai Chi as a gentle way to keep your balance sense honed.
I don't understand at all how that happens. I have done it for decades, I'm fully mobile yet socks have become difficult. I also knelt down to do something and just forgot how to get up again without holding on to something 😵💫🤔🤷🏼

That's because it takes you a lifetime to get to that point. I'm 67, been doing Bosu ball balancing for about 20 years, maybe longer. I've never tried this, but I do some of my kung fu kicking exercises on there, kicking to the front, side, and back without the kicking foot touching the ball between kicks. Also, I leap onto it and kick. I'll have to try this one next time I go.
