It is wonderful to see a seminary that is filled and full of life. I believe they will be a blessing to all who come into contact with them. God will be with them to touch lives!
Many people admire those young men who want to be priests and servants of God and his people . The study and the formation are very important . For sure they will faced big challenges and the Seminary is responsible to give them the proper education but also a balanced formation. The spiritual development of the seminarian is very important and must be balanced without any kind of pietism . Although study is important and can give them knowledge only experience can give them wisdom. Priests should be vicars of the love of Christ and no "slaves" of legalism and ritualism. Christianity is a way of life and Jesus came to abolish religion. Religion never gets to the core. Religion is man searching for God. Christianity is God searching for man. As far as the eyes of the world are concerned, priests are in a kind of showcase for all to observe. And the people DO watch them; they form opinions, they react and they judge them .So, priests should be trying to do often their own self-examination in a way to be more authentic and humble. Priests cannot deceive the people by pretending to possess virtues which they do not practice. It is always better to be considered a sinner than a hypocrite . Let us pray for our priests to be vicars of the love of Christ .
