- Devils lost 4-1 to the Tampa Bay Lightning in a must win game and they couldn't have played worse. I have spent all year defending these guys, whether it be goalies, coaching or individual efforts but I've lost any faith in them making the playoffs.

It's about time the Rock was chanting "Fire Lindy", long overdue.
The Playoffs are a conceptual matter at this point. This is one of the most inconsistent Devil teams I have ever seen. Look great one game, then drop 2 games to teams like Columbus and Anaheim. They are already looking to next year. Luke should have been in the minors this season. He is clearly NOT ready for Prime-Time. Bad goaltending, no defense and a coach who late in the 3rd period looks like he's already wondering how bad the traffic will be on the way out. Don't give yourself a heart-attack over them, my friend!
I'm dropping out of this season before this club rips my heart out. I'll catch yall next season

I am still going to support this team and not listen to those who think we should throw away the season finish off strong and then we will see what we can do once the offseason hits.
Yeah, I'm not saying we should throw the season. I'm not saying we should stop supporting the team. The way the team is playing though doesn't give me any hope that we can make the playoffs.

So, here's what I see.....
Let's forget getting a goalie. That isn't the real issue here. They need a stay at home D-Man. HUghes and Nemec may as well be rookie forwards. And Bahl? He needs to start acting like someone who's 6'6", not 5'8". Clear the net, stay at home and stop pinching down. It's simple, really. Yes we do need a goalie, and I'd rather give up Holtz for Saros, not Markstrom. But let's address the goalie situation in the off season. I'd rather not give up Holtz at all, but gotta give to get.
The impact of missing Dougie Hamilton I think is one of the biggest things that's not being talked about. The guy really is an anchor on defense and having the rookie kids head the D right now is crazy.
