FIRST TIME USING A THROW BAG

HOW TO TIE ARBORIST KNOTS | FIRST TIME USING A THROW BAG
I have spent the last 3-4 days practicing tying 2 different arborist knots. I AM NOT AN ARBORIST. I used a Larks Head Knot to attach the throwing line to the 12oz Weaver bag ‪@weaverarborist‬ . I then used a Running Bowline to attach the rigging line to the crotch of the tree I will be felling.
This took me an extra 10-15 minutes to set up but worked out so well.

Awesome job on the throw bag . I still don’t know how you got that bigger rope attached to the tree . Great job on the felling . Have you seen the air cannon the Dick from Old Guy Firewood made for shooting those bags . It is made out of PVC . Great video Joe !! 👍🏻🇺🇸🔥🪵

Good morning Del yes I have seen the air cannons and the sling shots. The only reason I didn’t go that route, I have seen and heard from a few people that you will have no problem shooting the bag a lot further into other trees. It could become harder to fish the bag out of all the branches. Once I had the bag over the tree I made a simple knot to the rigging rope and pulled it up and over.
