She always seemed to me to be SOOOO fragile, so unlike anyone else and SUCH an extraordinary actress ❗ I'm always saddened to think that she was indeed so troubled.
I visit her grave on a regular basis. I was only 17 when she died and didn't know who she was at the time. I saw her in Walking Tall. Great actress. I always talk to her and wish I could've done something but there wasn't much that a 17 year old kid could've done. I visit her grave often because I don't want her to be forgotten
I saw the film in the theater during the spring of 1966. I was 14. I'm 69 now and I have been in love with Elizabeth all this time. So, I know how you feel.
Timmy was in trouble. Spider bite! And caught pneumonia. Lucky for her that crazy crow Jeremy was at hand to help her out, along with the great owl and the rats from NIMH. Hearing and watching her nurse Tim back to health made an everlasting impression on me. Defined motherhood. RIP Elizabeth
I wish she should not have forgotten the music Box at the end of the movie in a patch of blue. In a good world I wish her and Sidney Portier Would have left together they Both have played such a good part in the movie
Tremendously sad to find her life cut short. She was a beloved character in one of my favorite movies since childhood. I hope she rests in peace nothing but peace .
She was so sweet, it hurts to know she was in so much pain, that the only way she could free her self from her pain was to take her own life. I wish she would of known she was loved, because the sun always shine tomorrow.
Hollywood chewed her up and spit her out, just like Judy Garland. She was to much of an Angel for them. She would have been better off never getting into Hollywood, but we would never had seen this beautiful sensitive woman. I miss you Biff.

Everyone knew, she was in psychotherapy and her sister was doing her best to help. She had been suicidal for a long time and had to be rushed to the emergency room after taking an overdose of sleeping pills.
It's sad when people commit suicide and don't reach to the people who love them and care about them. The bad days can be conquered and all we have to do is reach out. Such a permanent , unfair solution.
Are you serious? That's terrible! But then the mental health system was broken then and it hasn't gotten any better, but worse now. It's mostly lazy people who don't want to do their jobs. We had a senator in our area who took his son to the hospital for mental health evaluation and admission and the worker said they "couldn't find a bed for him anywhere." The next day the young man viciously attacked his father and wounded him seriously, and then killed himself. The local state hospital said they would have gladly taken him in an emergency, and two other area hospitals said their mental health units could have taken him, but apparently this lazy worker called only one or two places and then just gave up and told him to take him home.

RIP Elizabeth Hartman (December 23, 1943 - June 10, 1987), aged 43
You will be remembered as a legend.
Everytime I pass through Youngstown I leave flowers on "Biff's" grave. You are not forgotten Biff Hartman :)
I leave a can of pineapple juice when I visit her grave.

What a terrible end to such a fragile, gentle spirit.
Good actress so sad.
A beautiful and talented woman.

Great Talent.
A great actress gone too soon. It saddens me that there wasn't enough done for her. R. I. P.
Thank you for your tribute to an actress who should be more widely acknowledged.

Very beautiful tribute - love the Cat Stevens song

I have so much hate for old Hollywood... even if they did make beautiful movies, they did not respect those (especially women) who performed..
@@deejayrodion It is still a very evil industry.
@@dyanshane I agree completely
i Just feel in love with her while watching BLUE tonight, Hope the wife don't mind, 2023.
What a heart felt tribute. The ending was particularly touching.
Thanks for the tribute. A sad ending to a great talent.

What a shame no one knew and couldn't help her. I'm sure if someone did, things might be different.

Elizabeth and Capucine share a mansion in Heaven now; what a loss💖✝️
She could have and should have been the next Bette Davis.
You’re pushing it.
Where were the scenes with flowers, at the market from? Not any movie, I'm sure.

M Paxton You know nothing on mental health pains.
Melvin Ward You know nothing.
