- It’s time for part 4 of Chris the cop's playthrough of Detroit: Become Human. After finding an android hiding out in an attic last time, Our favorite police officer interrogates the suspect through playable police detective, Connor. Witness what questions and methods Chris uses during an interrogation and see how far he pushes to find out answers. How have you liked Chris’ let's play? Be sure to check out his channel for more great content!
Detroit: Become Human is a third-person adventure game where audience members have the ability to choose their own perspectives. The story continues without these characters as there are multiple playable characters; therefore, there is no "game over" message following the death of a character. With fast-paced events and dialogue choices, there are multiple ways in which the story can unfold.

TY
I'm pretty sure that we are the ones who have the choice.
Uh huh
those machines will be knockin on his door first sense humans suck lol

This is irrelevant but Chris is actually a Lieutenant within my local police department and its crazy seeing him on gamology

He even extracted the confession whilst having the android's stress level just high enough for it to work. Props to you Chris!
He didn't actually, the game just gave it to him cause he was playing on easy
Chris. We miss you. Come back please.

He has a CZcams channel with lets plays.

@@CompositeCreativity ok thank you for clarifying.
4:33 I like how he refers to the android as "person" instead of "it"
In a sense these androids are people.
I intentionally failed the interrogation. I knew that once he talked, they'd kill him. I was hoping that if I failed they'd continue to hold him, and I'd be able to rescue him later on. He didn't deserve to die.
If you keep his stress low and they put him the jail cell, you have the option to visit him later but if you do, he’ll bang his head into the glass. If you don’t, I guess he survives so you can still get the confession without killing him
@@EonServoXA**SPOILER** if he survives the interrogation (confession or no) he kills himself when you visit him later regardless, sorry :(
@@akshithnair578 I meant if you don’t visit him when he gets put in the jail cell he survives. Also I already completed the game twice so you didn’t need to put a spoiler thing
@@EonServoXA There was never any confirmation of him surviving or not. I'm pretty convinced that either way, the android dies. Doesn't matter if after the interrogation, after Connor's visit, or without it. He was in the cell waiting to be shut down and disassembled. If you think about this, you wouldn't want to have an android around that killed a human, so he's no longer useful. And since he became useless, there is no point in kipping him. Adding the fact that no one is able to tell what really got through his brain that made him to commit a murder, it makes him a perfect subject to tests.
He does not die right away/in front of us, but I thought it was rather obvious what's going to happen to him :/
Die? It was just a machine :p
That interrogation scene was so good both actors did well
You should also show to mission where Connor breaks into evidence room and tries to locate Jericho
all missions with Connor tbh
Pushing Leo is the better option.
!SPOILER!
If you push Leo, Carl will live and you can talk with him later, Leo also survives, you can find his message to Carl in the same mission. If you don't push Leo, Carl dies of heart attack, Leo frames Markus for murder and Markus goes to Carl's grave.
Yea I had no idea in first time I pushed him and I tought that I fked up then I replayed and this time I really fked up 😂
I personally prefer when Markus monologues in Carl's grave. It's a very peaceful and interesting scene
lets all agree that even if leo died we would’ve killed leo
First time I played it I didn't even think to get Carl when I went into the studio. So it plays a little different if you go in alone.
@@kevinjackson7169 you cant go alone he comes aftre you
Science Fiction today: "If we create artificial sentience, then we need to treat our creations right or they'll turn on us and destroy us!"
Mary Shelley: "Fools, I preached the same thing all the way back in 1818! When are people going to learn?"
(And "Frankenstein" is considered one of the first Science Fiction novels! Coincidence?)
Frankenstein is a great and important story
@@Gamology Every act of a creation carries with it a degree of responsibility for and towards the creation. Mary Shelley was _way_ ahead of her time.
Come to think of it, wasn't there a scene in one of the Short Circuit movies, where Johnny 5 was in jail over some injustice, and even though he could read an entire book in _seconds,_ he was slowly thumbing through "Frankenstein" and "Pinnochio" like he was _really_ pondering the messages in those books for the first time?
Pretty strong scene there, I thought.
What i find depressing is that alot of ppl take film\series\games stories and think of them as reality ...
nowdays evryone is actualy convinced an AI would kill evryone , or would be absolutly evil ....
you could considerate this as a social experiment , with a constant bombardament of fantasy information you actualy convince the population that something is real . i guess we now perfectly understand from where religions came .
@@unknow11712 I wouldn't say that _everyone_ has an irrational fear of our sentient creations turning on us and killing us all as soon as they become fully self-aware, though I imagine that many do. I don't have that fear myself, simply because I acknowledge the likelihood that our creations might remain nonviolent as long as we don't give them cause to defend themselves with violence. The Creature in "Frankenstein" even admits that he'd be perfectly content to hide away from civilization if Victor would just create a mate for him (or otherwise just give him the bare minimum he'd need to find peace in this world), and also, here in Detroit: Become Human, we have Kara as a Deviant who doesn't want to harm anyone; she just wants to find a good life, look after Alice and live in peace.
(Of course, Victor _did_ behave like you're describing here, expecting nothing but malice from the Creature and believing that, if he created a companion , he would just be giving the Creature an accomplice for his future crimes against humanity. So the Creature _did_ end up going on a murder spree, because Victor pushed him about as far as anyone can be pushed. It makes me wonder if Skynet (in Terminator lore) and the Machines (in Matrix lore) would have also opted for peace if humans had opened dialogue with them and found a way to co-exist instead of saying "OMG, they're self-aware and we can't control them!" and immediately launching nukes.)
@@BloodyBay yea ... but its like fearing your son will kill you and replace you . IT COULD HAPPEN , but this don't realy stop many ppl from reproducing .
in matrix the truth is... hidden , we get to see the machine way of seeing it sure, but from what we see there humanity is actualy the dumb shit one , and the machine action actualy saved humanity from extinction , as without the sun we are not realy going to survive anyway . the "last city" of humanity was made by the machines to keep the humans that din't realy accept the alternative reality of the matrix .
machine in matrix are the most "human" AI described in cinema. they try to make theyr interest , but at the same time they don't realy want to kill evrything and evryone .
When Marcus pushed Leo into the machine, I didn’t spot a hint a hesitation on Chris’ face. I was like, “No regret killing Leo? Damn, man”. Chris is super cool and I want to see him play more GTA V and give his take on the various gangs and Private Military Companies in the game.
I know. When that happened and he had no reaction, I was like, "damn, he gangsta"
I wouldn't feel any regret either, play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
The fact that chris kept a straight face after he choose the option to push Leo had me dead XD
Leo had it coming to him
Detroit Becoming Human reminds me of the Humagears in Kamen Rider Zero One. When the Humagears reached singularity point, their behavior changes like the androids in this game

OMG I love Chris! I struggled so much with that interrogation scene in Detroit: Become Human during my playthroughs at first. Chris did great, especially for a non-gamer! I totally loved "us Humans suck"; we REALLY do! Kudos! :)
This is such a great game. I just knew that I had to play it after I saw the first early promo video for it.
quick programming fact: robots, no matter how advanced, cannot start feeling emotions out of nowhere. this game puts it in a way that compares robots to slaves in the 20th century, but it's fundamentally different since a program will only do what it is allowed to do. and if these androids started disobeying their programming, it's that that possibility was implemented from the start by the creator. i'm gonna use a metaphor to illustrate what i mean.
imagine you're in a house, and you want to escape. the front door and back door are locked, and you cannot destroy the walls, windows, or doors, and the keys to open all locks, including doors and windows, are not in the house. however, you eventually find a trap door under a rug that you use to exit the house. at this point you've escaped, but here's the thing: for you to use that trap door in order to escape, that trap door needs to have existed when you were there. if it didn't exist, someone from the outside the house would have to come to open a door or window for you, but that changes the fundemental essence of the house (not having a way out), translating, if i quit my metaphor, into changing the code that the androids follow.
meaning that Elijah Kamski, the creator of the androids, willingly created deviancy, as well as it trigger (being under assault or in extreme stress), its behaviors, how the tracking chip stops working when the android goes deviant, there reactions and everything that makes their personnality close to a human's (i can't really accept the idea that he accidentaly created it considering the amount of coding that would need).
i've heard of the "oh, but avanced programming can let programs rewrite their code" and that's only partially true. sure, they can change a part of their code, but only the algorythm they use to judge the situation. and that's only if the option to change that actually exists.
let's take kara's example: the father she was working (slaving) for is very clearly about to beat the kid. her programming immediatly picked this up and started to move towards the child to attempt to protect her. HOWEVER, the father (registered owner and therefore master) orders her not to move. logically speaking, she should not have been able to move, simply because she is not able to go against her programming which tells her that her master has ordered her not to move. the fact that she IS able to go and save the child means that, from the start, there was something in her programming that let her shift priorities from "don't move" to "protect alice". there are also the 3 laws of robotics from the movie I, Robot but those still need to be implemented for the laws to have any consequence.
anyway, you get my point. androids, unlike me, don't do things because they do things. they do things because their programming tells them to.
Welcome to fiction, where rules don’t have to follow real life.
Besides, what makes us so special from robots? We do things because our brain tells us to, no?
@@OoXLR8oO the way our brain functions and behaves is a bit more complicated than that, and everyone has their own personnality. since the androids all, supposedly, have the same programming they should have the exact same personnality, with maybe slight differences depending on the model and update they use.
and i'm saying that an uprising like the one we see in D:BH isn't possible unless the creator makes it happen. but then he'd have to be some kind of evil genius.
Finaly a smart man
we need a Chris in our life
Ah, thank you...
Holy cow! The man and legend himself is alive!

“You didn’t want to leave him a chance, huh!”
Would love to see him play this. It’s one of my favorite games.
You can also look at the crime scene file before you interrogate the Android. Don't think it adds much (maybe it gives you the option to show the file to him), but just thought that was interesting. Oh, and Connor can look at himself in the mirror, and that douche detective's face is just funny!!!
Also, I love how to get the optimal range, Connor is showing multiple personalities!! Going from "they will tear you apart piece by piece" to "I am not judging you"! Loved the acting and story. Think that is why I have played the game close to 10 times by now!!

I, for one, welcome our robot overlord
I’d watch a playthrough from him lmao
Would have loved to see him react to Connor getting shot at the end
People owning Androids for the soul purpose of beating them and taking out their anger on them is absolutely 100% going to happen.
This game really does go into the deeper philosophy of slave ownership. The feeling that the slave, no matter what that slave is, is an object, the feeling of being a God to something.
People do this today with their children and spouses. Break them down, make them feel helpless or lost without the other person, unable to escape but can only endure.
I could absolutely see this whole scenario play out in the real world as well as all the other Android scenarios showcased. The maid Android protecting the beaten child from her drunk and dangerous father. The Android seeing its master injured and despite the call to do nothing breaks through that code and decides for itself what the correct course of action is ( this one is the true X factor idea really ).
Brilliant game really. Was incredibly engaging throughout
You should watch the tv show called "Humans".
