- Make DAY OF THE DEAD bath bombs! Day of the Dead is a colorful & festive Mexican celebration held in honor of the deceased and to welcome spirits home. These bath bombs have beautiful & festive flourishes on the outside & hidden color embeds on the inside!
Embeds will go inside the bath bombs, making a colorful explosion of foam in the water. EMBED RECIPE & TUTORIAL: • How to Make Multi-colo...
EXTERIOR MIX RECIPE: 2 cup baking soda, 1 cup citric acid, ½ cup corn starch, ½ tablespoon sodium lauryl sulfoacetate, 3 teaspoons fragrance oil, 2 teaspoons polysorbate 80, 1 teaspoon coco glucoside. Place exterior mix in mold & hollow out a shell. Place 4-5 embeds in. Cover with mix. Add a few more embeds. Then more mix. Pack mix & place loose mix on top. Once both sides are full, smoosh them together to meet in the middle. Tap both sides of mold to release bomb. Dry for 24 hours. PAINTING: Add alcohol + mica in a cup & mix. Cheap brushes are totally fine, but quality brushes have a big belly that holds a lot of liquid (so less dipping) & a tip that goes into a fine point (which means better precision & thinner lines). Search on internet for “day of the dead skulls, line drawings”. I highly recommend painting a rough draft in a pale color. Once satisfied, go over it in black. ALWAYS start with your ugliest bomb; painting improves with each bomb so save the prettiest ones for last! I recommend using the same style of designs & no more than 3 different colors per face (I usually use 1 dominant color & 1 accent color for small dots & curls). If you plan on painting shapes around the eye, eyebrows, or a mustache, start there first. Paint same-style details in empty areas while leaving white space around each detail. The trick is to paint the entire face in intricate detail, but leave enough white space so the design elements don’t look cramped or crammed in. Add secondary details, then small dots & curls. Dots take up empty space & make details look more intricate & also harmonize the flourishes so they look like a whole design (instead of random flourishes). RESULTS: The bomb spews festive colored foam almost as soon as it hits the water. Different colors & combinations through out the entire bomb. Very fun & entertaining!! I highly recommend this project. Fun for the entire family!!!

I just researched this request & found a solution. Amazon has public "idea lists" & a link can be generated for it. The only issue is in order to add something to the "idea list", I have to "search" for the item first then click on it. Are you sure that’s not proper use of the embed mold? Lmao I think proper use is very open to suggestions. It’s probably how I would use it too since my hands do this weird thing where they get swollen whenever I apply pressure in a certain spot. That’s a genius way to use the mold lol
