How to Make Beautiful Bubble Bath Flowers with Dissolving Paper!

- Today I’m showing you how to make bubble bath flowers. I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to share this project with you- I’ve never been this excited for a tutorial before! The flowers are absolutely stunning! They are fun to make but a bit time-consuming.
You'll need dissolving paper or wafter paper. Unless you can draw a flower, you may need something to trace petals with. You’ll need a few different size petals; each will be used to draw a different size petal set. * I cut 4 sheets into 4, 5, 6, & 7 inch squares (this will make 1 flower). Draw a circle with petals all the way around. As petals get larger, so should the circle. Staple & cut 3-4 sheets together. COATING: 3 tablespoons liquid bubble bath, 1 tablespoon SLSa [sodium lauryl sulfoacetate] (optional) -to boost bubble power. Microwave & stir until SLSa powder is dissolved. *Watch this while in microwave; it bubbles up. Add ½ teaspoon each of polysorbate 80 & fragrance oil (optional). *If you add too much fragrance oil, the petals become spotted & ugly. Polysorbate 80 is recommended if using fragrance oil, mica, or another dry colorant so that it mixes well in water. Use any type of color that you want! I used liquid food colorant. Paint the flower then let it dry. Then turn it over & paint the other side. While flower is still wet on one side, transfer it to a cup; the size/shape of the cup creates the cup shape/size. Lightly hit the petals with a heat gun. Once it can hold a shape, take the petals off the cup to finish drying. TRICKS: For extra bubbly flowers, you can paint multiple layers. However, do NOT over work the paper. Paper is stiff when dry & rips easily when wet. Don’t over-heat petals or dry them all the way with the heat gun as it becomes VERY brittle & will break. Do not over-saturate the flower with liquid. Only paint thin layers at a time. DETIALS: For a more realistic look, curl edges & lightly heat them while the petals are still wet. You could also score in veins with a stylus. ASSEMBLY: Once petal sets are dry, assemble flowers by placing one flower/petal set into the next (like Russian nesting doll). To finish the flower, add a few more petals & spray skin-safe fragrance oil on top. Quick tip: Use bubble bath coating to permanently affix petals; lightly brush some bubble bath coating on bottom, press down, & hold it in place for a bit. Make sure the petal is secure & leave it alone for a few hours. Don't touch it during this time. The rest of the flower will be vulnerable during this time, too (anywhere the liquid seeps into). RESULTS: I only used a few loose petals, but they produced a good number of bubbles. I was pleasantly surprised because the petals were only single coatings. I could only imaging if I put 2-3 coats on each. The petals dissolve completely over time, or quickly with agitation.

Спасибо! Это так щедро! Я очень это ценю!
@@CreativeBathLab hi there just wanted to ask can I use mica powders for coloring the liquid bath soap. Love this idea and I wanted to try it with the mica powders because I have everything on hand but the Liquid gel coloring
You can but it’s not as easy. I actually tried micas first, But it didn’t spread evenly. Give it a try though.

This is amazing. Now I see why pricing products is so important. Even though it didn't take any ingredient. Or expensive ingredients. Your time and effort just to create one. Great video
That’s exactly correct! I couldn’t even begin to tell you what I’d charge for 1 flower! I don’t think it’d be worth it to sell.

Hi Dora, this is straight FIRE!!! you are on it girl keep up the good work I haven't been able to comment but I have seen everything and you are doing the most as usual I cannot wait to try this one it looks so delicate and Sweet😉😉😀
I try! lol I haven't been excited about a tutorial like this in a long time... I've BEEN wanting to do this, I just didn't know the best approach & then it hit me like a ton of bricks- "wafer paper"!!! I felt so dumb that I hadn't thought of it before!
By the way Dora I was wrong about where I got that Christmas Present mold from, it wasn't chunk a dust it was actually from a place called The Mold Shack I don't know if you're familiar with them but they have some pretty great molds there as well
Very familiar. Yeah I figured that. I asked chunkadust about it & they only offered a mini 1 with a sled.
Bravo excellent bravo 🎉
😉
Alrighty....I clicked on your links to order what I didn’t have in my stock...will definitely try this flower power bubble bath 🥰😁
Try it! The flowers are time-consuming but other than that fun & EASY! Just follow my advise in the description & you should have no problems!
@@CreativeBathLab thank you soo much for sharing....excited to try it ....quick question, how big did you make the circles in the middle of the flowers? I ordered the cookie cutters off your link as a reference but not sure how big the circles should be lol 😂
Would you do a Christmas/Holiday bath bomb? With red/green/gold colors, and a holiday scent...like nutmeg/cinnamon or maybe a pine scent? If they make such a scent... would love to bath in Christmas!!
Absolutely! You better believe it!
Unbelievable! That was amazing, thank you! 🥰👍🏾
You are so welcome
Dora, you are so creative:))
🥰
OH MY GOODNESS! I’ve literally been searching for so long for a soap like this without having the chunky molds. How did you learn this or did you come up with it?
Also would you ever think of doing bath products for kids like play dough soap or soap paint?
I literally just thought of it…. & was actually mad at myself that it took this long to think of it! Yes, those actually sound like great ideas for tutorials. I’ve actually already made some kid stuff for my son

Good morning Dora 🌹
Hello 😊
😊
😘
❤❤
😉
Oh my gosh! So beautiful! Does the wafer paper disintegrate?
Thanks & yes!
This is way above me but I think it’s fantastic
😉
So the only soap on the petal is what you painted on ? These are so beautiful!!
Yes! Thanks!
This is Beautiful so will the paper dissolve in the water?
Yep! there may be some petals left behind on the bottom of tub, but they rinse right out. Its wafer paper (communion at church)
If I don't have liquid bubble bath could I use coco betaine
Hi Dora! I Love to watch your videos and was hoping that maybe you would make a Christmas project/video?!
Great idea!!
@@CreativeBathLab I thought it would be really awesome!!! (all of your stuff is)
Can I use the bubble bath recipe of yours using the slsa instead of store brands
Good evening from Greece!
I am subscribed to your channel and follow you with admiration.
Can you tell me which song we hear in this particular video?
Be well and good strength!!! Thank you
Hi Dora, I love watching you make these wonderful item, and I have made some myself, all the way in England UK for my new business and have had positive feedback. Most that I make from watching your tutorials have come out good, the only one at the moment I am struggling with are these lover bubble flowers, they are all good until I stick them together, they just don't and no matter what I do they just come apart, fortunately I have been able to sell them as just flower petals but would love to sell them as they should be...whole flowers what am I doing wrong??
Hey boo! Greetings to England! Sorry to hear that you are having issues. If the flower sets are falling apart before assembling them it could be several different things: you are heating too much, adding too much liquid too quickly, etc. If your issue is with Assembly, follow these steps: 1 make different sizes for the flower sets (there should be small, medium, large). 2 *** Make sure your cup increases/decreases in size as you heat the different size flower sets. 3 heat the flower sets into a full cup shape (on their corresponding cup size). 4 assemble the flower sets like nesting dolls; start with biggest first, then put medium in it, & so on. If you do this, I don't see how they can possibly fall apart. Good luck!
@@CreativeBathLab OK I will try that, I am in the process of making those lovely soaps with the writing in lay fingers crossed. Looking forward to your next Vid.
😉
Do i ave to use the microwave to dissolve slsa and coco derived liquid base?
What is bubble bath ?? Can I replace bubble bath with shower gel?
Will Coco Betaine work for the liquid bubble bath portion of this?
You can use it but it won’t yield as many bubbles
Strange question, but why not dry then cut out? Too fragile?
Exactly!
Thanks a lot for what you do!
I will research what that is!
@@CreativeBathLab thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤍❤
😘
Hi! I absolutely love everything you make. I tried to make these ans for some reason when I add the poly 80 my bubble Bath mixture turns super thick like almost rubbery. What in the world am I doing wrong?
it could be other ingredients you’re using that’s interacting together to turn it to a rubbery substance. I’ve had this happen to me, mainly when using liquid Castile soap. POLYSORBATE is a thick liquid, but it shouldn’t be the cause of this own it’s own
@@CreativeBathLab Is there a specific liquid bubble Bath we should use? I feel it may be the bubble Bath I'm using thats causing it.
Does the wafer paper completely dissolve?
Yep
Good morning Dora I was wondering with this tutorial when you say look with bubble bath where do you get yours from or do you make your own? Please and thank you
Yes I was wondering the same thing if you could possibly post a link to where to purchase this premade bubble bath or the items used to make it would be greatly appreciated.

@@CreativeBathLab Thanks

Mam can we use rice paper
I don’t know, try it!
@@CreativeBathLab ok mam thnk u🤗
How can i purchese this?
Don’t sell them, sorry!
I tried this & followed your recipe and for some reason it didn't work, they are so pretty
Thank you. A few others had problems too. Im sorry about that.
How long did it take to make these? 🤩
You don't want to know! LMAO. After I got the hang of it & understood the easiest way to go about it- it doesn't take THAT long. If I had to guess, probably 4 hours or something like that.
@@CreativeBathLab oh wow, so if I we're to remake this it would take 4 hours? 😒😕🥴
If you’re lucky! LMAO! But it’s well worth it! Don’t you think???
@@CreativeBathLab of course it is lol it's the treat at the end of all the hours put in lol
@@Wendy7496 yea, i love them too, but wow, too much time.def. not a product to be sold. they are so beautiful, but with that amt of time you would have to charge a lot of money...
