I was unemployed for about 3 weeks, quite lucky tbh 😭 yeah, all of the interviewers ask why I quit without a job haha. I answered exactly as I did in my earlier vlog on quitting my job, I find that honesty works best for this qns!

congrats on the offer! i’m on my 1st job now but am curious, when you interview for a new job, did u ask for at least a 15% - 20% pay raise? like is it a norm?
It’s actually a norm to ask for that range of increment if you have relevant experience. Some even go up to 30/40% 🙂 that being said, unless the field is very niche and you have had a wealth of experience in it, it’s harder to nego for anything higher than 20% in this job market
What happen at previous post that make you not disclose your job details?

How do you convince the interviewers about you changing to a new field besides taking up the course? I mean, the reason can only be that few and you gone for 3 rounds of intw! Repeat the same thing? I always find myself repeating like a robot and didnt know how to sugarcoat or paint a nicer picture. In a nutshell.... im not good at talking :(
I didn’t have to repeat that much for this particular job I got offered. The interviewers seem to have communicated on my background or smtg. But I agree that for many jobs, that dreaded self intro would have to be repeated, including the reasoning for changing field ☹️
If you have difficulty smooth talking your intro, I would suggest scripting it out and getting someone to role play the interview with u! Take every interview opportunity as a practice (no session is ever a waste!)
how do you go about answering qns on why a switch from your current domain to a new domain and how it will benefit or fit the company? I'm also on the switch recently and the first time ever after 10 years switching to a new domain and the panel of interviewers were so demanding questioning this
YES this qns was asked at my interviews too! On the why - I focused more on purpose/passion & how the transferable skills will benefit my role. NGL I always prep my answers beforehand and used a bit of help from chatGPT to craft a more coherent response 😝

2, abt the niche. Thats alot of saying on that when I started. But to me its difficult. Unless the knowledge you broadcast have public who interest to grow as well as your vid is interesting enough maybe🤔

Thank you!! 🙆🏻♀️ I asked about niche bc I observed that channels with a specific niche/topic tends to catch the YT algo a lot faster. Viewers also tend to subscribe to a channel if there is consistency in content & publication frequency. The risk is that if one decides to change the niche some day for whatever reason, channel viewership will fall, bc most of the subscribers subbed for that specific niche.
Not thinking of changing my content for now, but no harm exploring future possibilities haha!
@yuldaze there are content creator have more than one channel for diff purpose. But that would mean more time spend on it (they might be full time on this).
As for YT alog, I really dont know.. hahaaa..
If you recall I had mentioned b4, I'm also doing same as you in another ac (this ac just for commenting), Im in a lost what to put as title of routine with nothing special (to me) that viewers will click to view 🤣 I didnt want to put click bait title as I saw some do.
I think there must be substantial following and substantive content for multiple channels to be created! And yeah you’re right, most of them are FT content creators haha
That’s the good and bad thing about life vlogs - good bc u get to curate all kinds of content for viewers, from morning routines, to work, to shopping, to eating etc (meaning wider scope of opportunities for partnerships) but bad bc it can get mundane.
My sense is viewers watch bc they are attracted to 1) your personality and/or 2) the form of content (aesthetically pleasing/realistic/engaging etc)

@yuldaze yup. Agreed with what you mentioned about the bad thing on vlogs, I do feel it's started to be mundane & wonder how to keep the viewers' interest since it's starting to be very routine (in my case).
But yours not, esp with your interaction with "the" husband 🥴 & your mil meals.
