buick enclave spark plug change

  • 2011 Buick Enclave spark plug change. The engine would misfire and run rough and get horrible gas mileage. You have to take off the intake in order to remove the coils to get to the spark plugs.

I have a 2011 buick enclave as well...I was told I had a cracked head by a repair shop. They lied, thank goodness for brother's so I am a 48yrold woman and will be using your video to change my own spark plugs. I look forward to more videos that I may need.

How’d your spark plugs come out? I’m 48 and doing it myself too! CZcams has been a lifesaver but especially this video. His instructions are clear and thorough.

@JB 1,3,5 went pretty good because they were on the front....2,4,&6 wanted to be a pain...but all is well and just waiting to get a new battery and my sweet ride will be back on the road.

@@wendyboatwright3717 Awesome! Glad to hear it came out good. Start mine tomorrow morning. Figured 2,4 and 6 would be more difficult. I have the whole day set aside so fingers crossed! I love my Enclave and would do anything to keep it on the road. A battery will be child’s play compared to what you just accomplished. It’s nice that even older women like us can still “git er done” ! 😉

THANK YOU!!! Was told labor alone would be 2.5 hours-$300 bucks because it was difficult to get to plugs by firewall!!? Then they wanted a another $150 bucks for Plugs and Coils! Only took me about 15 mins to take out spark plugs and coils after following your video. Was able to order new plugs AND coils on Amazon for less than $90. Auto Zone and Advance Auto wanted $12 bucks just for each individual plug!! And both places had to order since they did not have what I needed in stock. Amazon will deliver by tomorrow. So, thank you. My car was running very rough! I changed the Vapor Cannister Purge Solenoid since it was broken but my scan revealed many cylinders misfiring, error codes P0300,301,302,303 & 305. Also, it appears my Camshaft sensor may be faulty. 2011 Buick Enclaves are known for stretched timing belts, so my Check Engine light may never disappear. And living in NJ-that will not usually pass inspection. if you have a video for camshaft sensor replacement, I look forward to it. Again, thank you!!!

Thanks for the video, especially naming the firing order. I did the freebie OBD2 at O'Really came back with 420 (catalytic converter crap), 303, 305 intermittent. I see it is two in front from your convenient information but when I get around to opening it up, I think I will replace both Iridium spark plugs and coil units. Added to this auction bought 2011 enclave I have ABS and Traction. So, as money and time permits, I need to spray the mass airflow sensor and figure out which wheel is triggering the ABS. Oddly enough, I started backing into my driveway so I have a better view of what moron is about fly around the corner when I am ready to pull out. I do a tight left turn, stop at the stop sign, accelerate on around my corner. At that point the doors lock, the ABS light and traction light go out until I hit 20mph or so. So, my best guess is a sensor wire rubbed through, and or a bearing hub is loosing or lost its magnetic ring. Ah, I almost forgot but now going into summer I was reminded the AC does not make cold. Lots to do, lots to see on this auction acquisition. I was looking at a Vevor kit with a vacuum pump, cheap manifold gauges and automotive adapters. Now that the weather is signaling its intention to make driveway work hell on earth for a while, I will add that AC testing to a higher priority on the list.
Well anyway, thanks again. I have my marching orders. Have a great day.
