- Finally done. Decided to give it another shot and beat this game.
The collection of all Easter Eggs, Secrets and References found in Max Payne 3.
Yes, this is definitely one of the weirdest Easter Eggs I have seen in a while. I'm pretty sure many of you will agree with me.

Interesting that in max Payne 3 all pianos you mess the theme up on are all fancy and new but he perfects the theme on an old dirty piano
It was about max recovering himself,at last piano he finally recovered himself from alcohol and depressants,at scenes from old he couldnt even play one note properly but with time and less alcohol he could play it better

The final piece was a finale ar the end of the game after he had a renewed sense of purpose , and the song, much like his entire life took a long time to come to completion, but after struggling through it, he finale found peace just as he did in the ending scene of the aftermath of the whole game. Plus, I like the way they made the piano playing only slowly come together and fit in with the situations he was in with scripted lines pointing out how the settings like the funeral home would be the ideal place to play his anthem, though the time called for more pressing matters and to do what he did best -- kill people. The way they made the piano playing linked to his actual character progression and the story was brilliant, seeing as how in the earlier games, you could be in the middle of a warzone and just dick around on a piano for as long as you wanted with no explanation. It was like, "As soon as I go down this hall, I'm gonna see about 6 or 7 guys with uzis and I'm gonna bullet time lunge at them with an assault ri--OH LOOK! A PIANO! I MUST PLAY!"
Actually the last one is a harpsichord, but the game still call it a piano
Who else feels that Max's life is reflected well by the sad song

I love how you can see how James McCaffrey's voice acting changes over time, he was fucking fantastic in Max Payne 3.
I think it's a worse performance than in MP2

I love how his voice has range now! He sounded more rushed and monotone before, which I don't mind but his performance during 3 surprised me!

The Crying baby blood path in the first Max Payne is the most disturbing thing I've seen in any game.

This game is so fantastic....too bad that people didnt recognize it when it released.....why always such brilliant games have to struggle to not be profitable.....it was such wild passion project on ALL levels.........I love Max Payne 3.......they should remake previous games using it's engine and remake panels from originals using James McCaffrey's appearence with option to play as original Max Payne model(Sam Lake) from first game and 2nd one but this time without weirdly deformed face ....xD

It should have come out in 2009(original date expected to release)
It got buried by gta 5's hype.
But still its a great game and I want another max Payne game but set in New York

Matt Thompson i think the production time was a mess, crazy long delays. Itcame years after it should come so nobody was interested anymore or forgot about it. They tried with marketing but it wasn’t enough. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

This is one of the best game I've ever play... But as much as I love it... I don't want it to have a sequel... A spin off maybe but not a sequel... Max had enough, he deserves that vacation in the end...
The amount of work they put into building these game worlds from the ads, TV shows, fast food chains, all the way to the characters themselves, is what makes Rockstar so epic. And to think RDR2 is coming out in a matter of months. This is amazing. I can't wait for another R* experience. The Max Payne series shaped my childhood.

I don't know if this counts as an easter egg, but right when I started playing the game, I recalled max payne saying in the second game that all he wants is a smoke, a whiskey and for the sun to shine, right at the start of 3 we actually see him getting all of these

This wasn't the first time when R* used car models in it's other games. I remember seeing the Stallions model parking on the streets of Carcer City in Manhunt.
Manhunt is actually set in the same universe as GTA, so it makes sense the cars carry over.

Always was my fave game from the minute it was released, and still is to this day! It's the only reason I kept my Xbox360 alive and connected, so that I could play this campaign over and over!!
Just SOOOOOOO glad that it is FINALLY backwards compatible and can now run it on my Xbox One in 1080p :)

Well... Same here, l though the Gray suit in the first mission he wears it was the same as Michael's.
Actually, Max killing Winterson wasn't a bad call at all, it was later revealed that she was working for Vlad and the cleaners on Max Payne 2. The developers didn't do their homework it seems.
Even after Max discovered her secret, he still called himself a cop-killer and didn't feel any better about it, especially considering that she had a blind son.
It was still a bad call at the moment, in light of the information that Max had at the time. That it turned out to be a good thing because of something Max didn't know is simply incidental.
Gotta say, even if i played halo since i was a kid, this game became my favourite on my first playthrough.

I think you missed the one were the main menu had Max's character model from 3 with the leather jacket standing looking one direction; referencing the loading screen from MP1.
I loved Max Payne since day 1 since it been around standing before GTA III was even born after months later.
It was tooooooo good to listen into Max's sad story of what he's been through all the way to the 3rd title, he now gets to live his normal life without dealing with any bullcrap that gets in the way. RIP to his Wife/Love Interests Mona Sax and other loved ones he lost along the way. :l :)
Includingly listening to every Version of his intial Theme which is soooooo memorable to me.
If you played the game mode ny minute in mp2 and complete it you get a good ending with mona sax surviving. It's canon. Ppl will go on about mona sax being dead only cos they've not aware that a game mode exists n she gets to live if you want it bad enough.

It's really interesting that they teased these vehicles before GTA V.
The chapters (chronologically) where the pianos were featured showed Max gradual learning of his theme. A nice touch by Rockstar.
Max Payne 3 was the first Payne game I gotten into. But now after watching this after playing max payne 1. I'm surprised how rockstar made a great single player game from what they started 20 years ago. It would be cool seeing a remake version of the first 2 games with the mechanics from 3

Max Payne 3, will forever have a place in my heart, along with Dishonored, and Persona. And in my opinion, I enjoyed the story for Max Payne 3, so much more than GTA V (Since it kinda killed the game's reach)
Also, the name of the in game TVs is daiski (in japanese: to like a lot) which might indicate that if you pay attention to those kind of details you are reeally into easter eggs!

The apartment in the weird changeling soap opera scene also seems to look a lot like Playboy X’s (and Niko’s) penthouse from GTA IV.

2:16 bro that scared me
2 things:
#1: If there was to be another Max Payne game, the ending in (my eyes) would be, Max killing the antagonist, there would be a piano in the antagonist's room/place, Max would walk over to the piano, start to play the original theme, while cops are ambushing into the room, they see the antagonist dead, and his goons, and they stop, look at Max, (Of course having guns drawn), but they look at Max, they dont shoot, or do anything but listen to this tune that Max is playing. And the chief of the (city/town/place) walks in and tells Max, "Max, put your weapons down, your time being a ex-cop running away from the police is up", then the camera goes to Max, he says, "We'll see", then the screen fades to black, while zooming into Max's eye. Then when the camera reaches to his eye, the sounds of bullets play throughout the credits then the end credits start to roll in, and the original Max Payne theme that Max was playing on the piano starts to play again.
#2: Chapter 8 reminds me of North Yankton from GTA V.

i will always wish that Max Payne 3 was longer and had more New Jersey levels but still one of my favorite games of all time, cause like Max Payne 2 has 21 chapters and max payne 3 has 14 chapters so yea i wish we had more of New Jersey but that,s my only problem nothing else
Though chapters in Max Payne 3 are longer than the ones in previous games. That's why it has less chapters but overally it's a bit longer, like 2-3 hours.
