Does the GT3 Pro have NFC for contactless payments?
Thanks
I have the GT3 and my favourite part of it is the battery life. I use sleep tracking all time time and having a watch that I can wear while I sleep and not worry about the battery dying out in the middle of the night is amazing.
I loose around 9-10% a day with all health features on and enabled. Such solid battery life.
Do we have airplane mode / turn off Bluetooth function in Gt3 or GT3 pro?
Can sleep tracking working without bluetooth during the night?
@TechTablets , @Russeljrjs
Well, the battery life is not that impressive for me indeed, at least as advertised. I'm speaking as a previous GT 3 owner. If you unlock all the features, the battery life of the GT 3 drops to 7 days. However, I get12 days of battery life from my Venu 2 Plus with below usage;
- 7/24 wearing
- 1 sec constant HR recording (not every 5 sec like Huawei GT 3)
- 7/24 constant Stress tracking (not a few times per hour like Huawei GT 3)
- Sleep tracking
- 3 or 4 weight lifting workouts + 1 or 2 hours of outdoor activity with GPS.
Huawei GT 3 is a solid device with superb HR sensor but it lacks too much and not sufficient for me.
- It doesn't calculate total calories, only shows active ones,
- HR sensor doesn't record 1 sec in real time mode, only per 5 sec,
- It doesn't have dedicated widgets, you can only see your steps on the watch face, it doesn't have a dedicated steps widget.
- Huawei Health is far behind comparing to Garmin Connect or Polar Flow.
Here is the proof about the battery life of my Venu 2 Plus;

And here is the HR recording frequency belonging to my previous Huawei Watch GT 3 in real time (constant) HR recording mode,

@@Techtablets Exactly, I don't really mind it not having Wear OS if the trade off is an excellent battery life.
@@Nadavgu The watches don't have an airplane mode. And yes, you can use sleep tracking without being paired to a smartphone.
The wow-factor: The GT3 Pro takes elegance in smartwatches to a completely new level - miles ahead from any competitor. Pros: Stellar battery life, great bright screen, durable materials, and unmatched finish. Apps: I'm not looking to replace my smartphone or laptop with a smartwatch. It does what it's supposed to do perfectly, looks and feels great. What I love: I completely forget that it needs charging - some minutes on the charger even now and then and it's ready to tick!
Absolutely agree and yes the best part is the amazing battery life and the screen with all features.
I only wished the GT 3 PRO assistant "Celia" worked on non Huawei smartphones... if that was the case, best smartwatch on the marked hands down.
Wow that silver one has an executive luxurious drip to it. I love it!
You mean the Watch GT 3 I showed? Yes, I love the look of that one the silver straps.
I've been waiting for this watch, and it was a joy to find out that your video was first in my feed.
Thank you so much for watching! I hope my video was helpful.
@@Techtablets at least now it definitely is in my shopping list.
The Titanium one is gorgeous Chris😍. Not perfect and still missing some key features, but the build quality is superb! And It's round as a watch should be. 😄
Thank you for the thorough real world review Sir👍👍👍
Yes, both the ceramic and titanium models have such a flawless superb build. Really high quality.
Huawei are above the rest and I just got one and connected it to my Huawei P40 smartphone.
I just gotta try the mountain hike and hike which I'm really looking forward to duren summer.
Long live Huawei and their products!
Their smart watches are fantastic I think. I still have this and use it daily.
Love this review!
Covered so much and everything I'm interested in.
Just asked for this watch along with a Matepad 10.4 tablet for my 60th birthday this week and cannot wait for it to arrive!
I haven't worn a watch since the first Nokia phones came out in the 80's with clocks on them, but this watch caught my eye and looks just stunning!
The quality of this watch along with the facts I can change the displays and have all the fitness info as well has brought me back to having a watch.
I'm actually excited (which is very rare these days!) to get it and can't stop watching videos about it! 🤣🤣
I understand with the Gbox app now we can also access the Google Play store and get Google apps seamlessly which is even better! (Fingers crossed.)
is it possible to connect a cardio belt to the watch, thank you.
Amazing video/review ! Do you know if the GT3 Pro can broadcast HR ? I want to use with Zwift....
Can you run multiple stopwatches &/or timers?
can i use this on my tesla model 3 wireless charger?
Huawei watch are great. I just went from a watch gt 1 that I paid 80 euros to a gt 2 pro I paid around 150... But I added a titanium strap later for 50 euros... Top quality. They could be thinner and reply to notification lacks but the battery life is stellar and software is great. I like the Petal map app on the watch.
They are great watches and we do now have a canned reply feature for notification. Better than nothing and still useful. The titanium strap are great such high quality
I have the GT2. Great watch, but you can't get the latest version of the health app on Google Play, only an older version. Update is only possible through download of an apk. Very weird.
can i use this watch (harmony os) with any other android phone? are there any compatibility issues or challenges with installing the huawei health app?
Do you need the phone with you for the GPS to work? Or you can leave your phone and use the watch and still GPS will work?
Can you make a detailed video of calling feature?
Like normally I wear earbuds, so when someone calls me and if I answer the call from my watch, so will the audio from the person calling me will come through the earbuds or the watch? And during an ongoing call do we have an option to change the audio from watch to phone and vice-versa?
Please let me know.
Thanks.
Can you show how it works in the tennis mode?
hello, what about music options? can spotify be used? looking for a watch where i dont have to carry my phone and this one looks pretty good
Wish they fixed official Strava support for older models too.
I wish it has a voice recorder. Such a simple app but really useful to record something that crosses your mind or something that needs a reminder.
Thanks mate! 👍
No problem 👍
Do you have problems with gps accuracy or hearth rate when using 24/7 messurment ? A lot people have problems with gps signal ?
As much as I want to get this because I want to replace my GT2, its just expensive. I love the battery life of Huawei GT series though.
Yeah I have the GT2 and it feels old. But it's still the same watch, more or less. I really liked the design of the GT2 Pro, though and I am not really into buying the new one since my GT2 works like new.
@@constantine6490 same appearance, but much better experience. When I was using my GT2, I never wear it during sleep, because it's not comfortable. But now, I'm good with my GT3.
Fro all apps! Pity about the wear OS, would've been such a nice option otherwise
two utuber complain of bt disconnection with other brand phone and sync issues , are you using it with huawei products ?
Hi. Did you test it in gps mode for hiking or mountain biking? I'm very curious how long does the battery last. Thank you !
Great video! The white one looks so luxurious with that gold ring around the watch. One question, can the strap be change? And if can how to do it?
yes they can easily be changed
Can you please please tell me 2 things? Does it have a esim support or will it have? Also, does it have any watchface that looks like the pixel watch watch face? Thanks a lot in advance
I cant find a way to use my temporizer while training mode on. Theres some way?
Can you change between and play/pause tracks say if you have PowerAmp on your phone running? Tempting hardware 🙂
Yes just been doing that via the watch on my Huawei phone, using some 1More evo's and changing the tracks and volume all via the watch. Nice feature. But not 100% sure it will work on other Android phones it should. I'll have to test it.
I just want to stress on how absolutely beautiful and stunning ur neighborhood looks
Thanks!
I like model "Porsche design" but it's expensive, so I'll buy GT runner for me.
Thanks for the video Chris.
To the women subscribers out there, can you guys recommend to me which is better between GT3 42 and GT3 Pro 43 for everyday use. For me I do love the looks on GT3 better. It will be very helpful to me if I get an recommendation from you guys.
HUAWEI makes the best watches and bands. HUAWEI products are very accurate in their measurements also. Moved to a XIAOMI watch yesterday and I miss my HUAWEI already.
Hi. can we charge it on the back of the phone with reverse charging? i have mi 11 ultra. thanks
Yes
I recently bought the watch. Great watch but I noted that you cannot view email content on the watch. Can anyone confirm this
i don`t need to fully charge it when it suddenly go empty, great thing is i`m charging it in a few minutes at the local diner while eating , on the back of my phone, tested with a huawei and a xiaomi, just rise it to 10 or 20% to hold 1 or 2 days work
Yes that's pretty handy with the Qi wireless support and since I loose about 10% a day it will yes go for 1-2 days.
@@Techtablets although i had looks like, why af is this guy showing his phone AND his watch on the table :))
Can you store music on the watch? I can't find any info about that .
Yes.
Hi! It has always on display? Thank you.
Yes you can enable it if you want or have it always on for workouts.
HW have done pretty well Watches
They are great looking and awesome watches I think.
Wow they changed a lot, they have gone from Sports to Business
Does it do strava integration? How about ant+?
You can sync it with 3rd party apps
Have they introduced a keyboard yet to reply to messages?
I Wich they have smaller watch GT3 in diameter for skinny user.
I cant find the gt 3 pro watch face in huawei health, especially the night moon, for my standard gt3, is there any way so i can apply or download it? Is the titanium strap compatible with standard gt3? Can i buy only the titanium strap? How much?
Hi yes, you can just buy the strap itself and it will also work with the GT3 as for the price no info on that from Huawei sorry. And the watch faces might be exclusive to the GT 3 Pro for a while.
@@Techtablets thanks!
Can you pair it with a Polar HR-strap?
It's not compatible but you can pair it with earbuds and other tech via BT settings
For ceramic edition of gt 3 pro to unbuckle strap do you need to press one side or 2 at the same time becouse when i'm wearing it unbuckle by itself… Is it defective or what help.
It should never unbuckle itself it must not have been clipped into place correctly. It's both sides.
@@Techtablets thanks
Hey . Thanks for some great videos!!. I have the GT3, i'm very happy with it, but when I turn on 24/7 heart rate, its not accurate at all. When I bicycle from work, it get a max of 95 bps. But when I track it as an exercise ( same route ), it will get above 150 bps. .. anyone know how that makes sense?., testet multiple times, with diffrent types of workout.
Better find the customer service to check. It works well with me.
ok, so i have 2 of these pro models, but they have different memory, one has 4 gigs but the newer one says he has another 25 gigs free even if i loaded him with music (took a lot of time)...external wireless chargers are not designed for watches, so when the watch gets to 80% and reduces very much the charging current, they disengage thinking the phone is done (i`m charging it on the back of my phone and it does the same)
Hi again!Should I wait for Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro or buy this GT3 PRO?Cheers
I would get this unless you need WearOS support.
In case of sensor accuracy test which is better Smartwatch?
@Tiz Kbir Can I make call from this watch?
@@varietiesshowfast3609 no only answer incomming calls via bluetooth
To responde on the watch you have Watch 3
Howdy, what are the differences between the watch 3 pro and the gt3 pro ?
The two new builds titanium and ceramic. Plus the new Truseen 5.0 heartrate monitor now is even better and more accurate.
Vastly improved heart rate sensor, for the GT Runner and the Watch Fit 2 same, GPS sensor.
Blood O2 was already good before.
Take a look at the GT Runner. Lower weight does make a difference, to me at least.
Thx for your response 👍🏽
@@Techtablets This one can be brought dow5 to 30 meter below sea level. Well wea bunch of scuba divers accidentally found that GT version 1can go through 40 m deep water as watch B to my diving computer, my Samsung Watch 2 could not survive a single shower
Does it got any altitude meter?
Yes
Hi! Can anyone help please? I bought a Huawei GT3 pro based on the HR sensor quality, I sent the first one back because I though there was a problem, the second one is the same. I've tried different wrist positions, resetting etc. but the problem remains. Every so often, regardless of what I'm doing, I could be walking or watching TV, the HR readout will drop to anywhere between 37 and 44 bpm, this is also recorded in the log. Any ideas anyone please? I can show screenshots of the log readout.
Is gt3 pro is comfortable with Samsung phones?
Can someone reply
I use gt2 pro. Design is terrific however software... I wish to be Harmony OS.
Do you have experience of gt2 pro? Is it worth upgrading from gt2 pro to gt3 pro?)
Am I the only one facing a low calories count during home activities?
Comparing to the apple watch I've been using for a couple of years, I see a discrepancy between the 150-200kcal from AW and 40 (?) kcal from GT3 Pro....
Nothing to say regarding workout tracking, completely in line with the AW. Another "bad" thing is that the watch or the app itself does not provide the total calories burnt throughout the day, how is that? Are they going to implement anything with FW updates or through the application?
Thanks in advance to whoever has any answer...
Another great video, Chris! I have the GT 2 Pro, it's pretty great and was wondering when the GT 3 pro was gonna be released! Stoked to see your video!
Just a quick tip: when it comes to watches, if it's a continuous loop that is opened wider to put the watch on, it's called a bracelet, if there are two ends that come apart to put the watch on, it's called a strap.
Great in depth video, though. Definitely great to see what features are present on the GT3 pro!
Okay, I always think of a bracelet as something much tinner normally not the watch guess I'm wrong there. But Huawei even calls it a strap. For example Huawei Watch GT3 Pro 46 mm Titanium Strap
@@Techtablets Oh wow I didnt even notice they had it listed like that. 🤔
It seems like a lot of brands within the smart watch world, get the terminology wrong. Like even the whole "watch faces" thing, technically speaking clocks have "faces" and watches have "dials", but that's a level of semantics I concede is probably something only horology experts are gonna care about 😬
Anyway, regardless, I understood what you were referring to and I appreciate the response! It can be tricky to find info about Huawei watches in the US so your content is always super helpful. 👌
The display visible in sunlight?
HI, it is but looks worse off in my video than what it really is.
Great video. I still prefer the looks of the GT3. The pro just doesn't look that nice.
For the price, this or the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic?
I would get this as the battery life is much better.
can you do a GT2 review? ;)
I did review it but the top-end model. However, the internals and functions are the same czcams.com/video/TYbO1E4gI4c/video.html
@@Techtablets you rock :)
I'll probably get the watch fit 2. GT doesn't seem worth the money for me.
Hmmm that's me a year ago... till I tried the sweetness of the GT :-D
Which one is better ? 3 Pro Elite or GT 3 PRO ? Cheers
GT 3 Pro
Thank you,I will buy the GT3 Pro!Good reviews,I will subscribe to you :)
@@Techtablets nope..miss WiFi and just have4gb :(
No Fall Out Detection
No Fancy Watch Face like Pin Ball Theme and Video Watch Face
No Wifi
It's hard to choose between Huawei Watch 3 Pro and GT3 Pro
so any info how they will work with iphone? Any restrictions? Just can't stand how apple watch look, too womanly. Looking for something like these gt 3 pro :)
It works fine on iPhone, just controlling my music via the watch (next track, volume etc) doesn't work yet on iPhone.
@@Techtablets Great! Thx 🙏🏻
The battery life is insane compared to Apple and Samsung, neither can consistently last 2 days whereas this one does at least 6 days up to 2 weeks?!
Saludos
In some reviews I read the GT3 pro is sluggish (slow). What are your experiences ? Maybe it is caused because it only has 32 Mb RAM (which is extremely small as opposed to 1 or 2 Gb of other smartwatches) ?
It’s not slow only if you full up the ram running too many apps at once that should happen. It’s a fantastic watch I get 12 days run time out of mine.
@@Techtablets Do you consider running all sensors so all health tracking apps at the same time as too many apps ? I have read that running Harmony OS only uses 1 Mb that seems very low to me. So how many apps can you run simultaneously without experience it becoming less responsive ? If the programming is so efficient why does the 3pro has 2 Cb RAM which is more than 60 times that of the GT3 pro ?????
@@artivideobup8743 because 3 pro runs on full android based harmony os and needs that ram while this runs on lite version of harmony os
Optimization is the Key... Like what iphone engineers did..
And now from the word itself "Harmony os" everything is harmonized.. That's why its lag free, besides the higher the Ram the more power it consumes
is ceramic model only for girls?
No, not really for anyone
⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Watch 3 Pro eats it for breakfast...wifi, E-sim, replay whatsapp...etc...
Pissed off the ceramic one has less battery life, I'd buy one if they just carbon copied both watches just not the materials
Looks nice, but it's gonna be 300-400€, way too much for me.
Yes 369 euros for the cheapest model and this titanium version I reviewed is 499€
@@Techtablets I rarely even leave house but that titanium version looks so tempting. It is 499 but it comes with free buds 4? in Spain atm
@@infernus6278 here in ksa almost same price but 10% discount beside the freebuds 4i bought it already but will arrive in 5 - 7 business days
@@infernus6278 I don't think Spain has that Free Buds 4 offer but only a free watch strap.
Can u reply messages like whatsapp on this watch?
Yes but it's canned replies.
can you give me one please
It just misses LTE support
Yes it doesn't have eSIM support this model
Those have just one huge flaw, price is way to high
Yes not cheap the titanium mode I covered is 499, the base model is 369. But you're getting quality and top battery life. Depends on what you want otherwise there is the cheaper Fit 2.
Who wants to buy a smart watch that expensive when everyone knows that smartwatch battery lasts 3 years max after that you have to throw it away so spending that much amount of money on 3 or 4 year watch is not worth it
More like 5 years I think, but you realise the Apple watch and others will be the same right?
@@Techtablets exactly same for apple and others with the same price tags like garmin etc. you can stretch the battery life but upto5 years??? , i don't think so. maybe by limiting your usage of the features and avoiding charging after every 3 days or less but sorry to say your titanium watch will be useless after that.
So still a smartband
watch 3 PRO have WiFI and 16gb...newest GT 3 pro miss WiFi and have 4gb....shame Huawei
You didn't mention the fact that for such a pricey watch you only get a 32mb of ram, and installing a app or a watch face takes ages, also it has only 4gb internal storage, so this is actually a downgrade from watch 3 pro, only difference is that gt3 pro has a better battery life and smaller in size and weight.
A pity you can not include attachments here because in one of the Russian reviews of the GT3 pro on youtube there was screenshot of the Huawei Health app which showed that the GT3 pro still had 25 Gb free memory left. This makes it so confusing if it is stated in most reviews that the memory is just 4 Gb. Maybe there are more versions of the GT3 pro and it is region dependend how much memory is installed !!!?????? OR maybe the 32 Mb is just the processing max. capacity of the processor (which normaly is never mentioned in specs) and what we normally call RAM is 4 Gb and the ROM is 32 Gb ?????
Gt 3 is nicer
The Stainless steel one? I still really like that model. Very slick looking.
@@Techtablets yeah, better than GT3 pro
I really like the look of my GT3, very sleek that metal frame and strap.
dude :)
Money grab that brings nothing new to the table...
Well yes and no. New designs, new heartrate monitor improvements. But yes it's not a whole new model it's a refinement of the Watch GT 3.
You need to have a try by yourself.
You can’t respond to texts on these $450 CAD watches. NOT!
No just canned reply options. Like Yes, No, I'm busy etc.
Hi ! What’s the processor in this gt3 pro and the ram ?
huawei didnt reveal the chipset , suspect its the same as gt2
