This episode is really where everything kicks off! In the scene of the documentary, I think it’s interesting that Billy does look serious, but he does suppress a smile when he looks down. It’s interesting to see what feelings survive after 20 years. Also, Billy saying the whole recording was a nightmare, while listening to Daisy’s isolated vocals was such a huge sign of their dynamic. I did love seeing Billy trying for his daughter and the life he’s built with Camila. Daisy immediately saw through his lyrics and Billy definitely didn’t appreciate that. Also, Daisy is absolutely valid for pushing Wyatt Stone into that pool (and I can’t wait to see her wild side as the show continues). I’m almost certain the show will only get better from here.
I think Daisy is the first person to really challenge Billy head on and it took him by surprise. I can't wait to see what happens next!

My faovirte part is how when Billy was listening to the song Daisy wrote from his lyrics. She got to the real shit basically and it touched Billy's soul. As Teddy said, Billy was holding back and I think Daisy saw through what Billy gave to Teddy and the label to get to the core of the song which was Billy's raw emotions. It was such a good scene and it made Billy confront how he feels about himself and his addiction.

I love how viewers reactions can be so different. My reaction was Billy has the after addiction/alcoholism he has to navigate life without those crutches and Teddy blindsides him in the studio. He comes in thinking the studio loved the song, has no idea why a girl singer is being brought in, and now she has rewritten his song?! No wonder he is angry. And Daisy is blindsided that Teddy didn't tell Billy he had asked her to tweak the song.
That’s a good point and it probably hurt Billy a lot to know that the situation wasn’t what he thought it was.
Oh....they toned Billy's character down in the show a lot, if you think he is kind of an asshole in the show, wait until ya get to the book. A few of the characters are more likable in the show, and for spoilers sake, I won' tell you exactly who. By the way, if you do read the book, I highly recommend the audiobook because it like an audio performance. The audiobook for Daisy Jones and the Six is FANTASTIC!! Just fyi, the show kind fast forward through the events of the book, and cuts out some plot points. Great reaction!
P.S. The person Simone met at the party, their name is Bernice or Bernie. They might be nonbinary or other identities, so I don't feel comfortable assuming their gender identity. Also, some people can binge full seasons of shows, and enjoy it just as well. I think different people have different ways they like to consume media. Some people have no problem enjoying it all at once. Everyone is different.
