I have been a "gorgeous" grandma since the age of 39! 😂🎉 I have 5 grandchildren. I have taught each one how to sew! ❤ I love hanging out with them. Today I get to see my three grandsons, our oldest daughter's children. They are 15 (yes he is driving), 13, and 11. Friday, I get to drive to KS and collect our two granddaughters for a week-long visit! I am thankful they are all close enough for visits!
I became a grandma at 49 with a granddaughter, several years later a grandson, then 6 years later another grandson. then 8 years aga i became a great grandma. to a boy. love them all we have been very fortunate to have retired early at 50 and have gotten to enjoy them all by having them on spring break from school and few weeks in the summer. the granddaughter and great grand live close to us so have him often the granddaughter lived with us until 5th grand and learned to quilt and enter quilt show for a couple of years.
I had a Grandma Ruth and a Grandma Mabel! I love being a Grandma and Great-Grandma! I see all my grands all the time.

Wow! Congratulations! I have 4 kids and 10 grands but no great grands yet. My oldest granddaughter says she doesn’t want to have kids and neither does her significant other. They want to travel. My oldest grandson is a long way from settling down. Maybe I’ll have great grands eventually. But life is still good!

I was 66 when I became a gorgeous grandma when my grandson Caleb was born. I was an older Mom and so was my daughter. We are both physicians. She provided me with my second grandson, Jude almost 2 years later and my other daughter, a pediatric critical care nurse, also an older Mom, is expecting my first granddaughter in December. Being a gorgeous grandma is the best thing ever!!!!
I was made a gramma at the age of 43- my grandson was born 11 days after my dad passed. My grandson brought such a ray of sunshine into our lives at that difficult time. He was the apple of my mom ( Nonnie) eye! He is now 27 years old.
I dont mind state fabric overload, being from Canada, I would love to see all the state fabrics as we have none here, all we have here is a tartan for each province. No doubt u will have left over fabric, it would be cool all sewn together like a collage for the backing. Bring it on!!!!

I became a grandma at age 47. Our eldest son was deployed to Afghanistan when his baby girl was born. I felt so bad being able to hold her when her daddy couldn't. The same thing happened to our youngest son when his only child was born. They knew that was a possibility when they chose to serve our country though. We have three beautiful grandchildren in total. And their daddies are wonderful.

I’m just getting caught up on your videos from last week as i was camping. When you said you’ve not yet been to Alaska or Hawaii, you have missed 2 of the most beautiful states in my opinion. As a Canadian, I think that Hawaii & Alaska offer the most beautiful scenery in the world. I suggest you and Gregg go on a winter cruise to Hawaii, and a summer/fall cruise in Alaska. Both states are gorgeous, and the ports in those places are the highlights of them. Enjoying seeing your collection of state fabrics. Mine from Canada is in the mail , but it takes about 14 days to get there…..ridiculous!

I am a proud grandmother of 4 boys. They are very intelligent speak multi languages. I rarely see them unfortunately as they live in Norway
I have 4 little ones that just light up my life, ages 6 1/2 years to 2 months. My son and daughter each have 2 children, and I am fortunate that they all live only an hour away so I get to see them routinely. My daughter’s children are the 2 oldest and we FaceTime almost every night.

26:35 I have seven grandchildren ages 21 down to 10. I became a grandma at age 45. Only one is a girl. She started sewing at age 9 or 10, cutting up her dad's t shirts and using her own shirts for a pattern and sewing them by hand. I taught her knitting, cross stitch, and crochet. She only likes knitting of those three. She is 19 and studying Consumer and Family Science at PSU. She mends her brothers clothes as well as her own. She is amazing.
At the young age of 43 I became a grandma and was named "Papa" by my first grandson. He's now 25 and has a brother who turns 17 in three days and a sister who is 10. Life is grand. 🥰

Hi Pat! I’m a Mimi 2 times. I became a Mimi at age 51. My daughter called me Glam-ma at first! lol. Now I’m just plain ole Mimi or Meems as the grand girls call me! LOL! Love it. They are 8 and 6.

I have been a grandma since 2002, and I was 43½. We have, 2 daughters and 1 son, and 10 grandchildren, 8 girls and 2 boys, and now 2 great-grandchildren, one of each. Our grandchildren are 22 years old, down to two who will be 11 very soon (not twins--September and October.) I have made each of the 'Greats' a quilt. Amelia has an Elmo Oh My Stars Quilt and Sawyer has a jungle-themed panel quilt. I have started making "Eye Spy" quilts and have one made for Amelia, who is 3--I need to have it quilted this week because her brother's birthday party is on Sunday, he will be 1. I prefer to have a gift for her too, since brother will be getting so many presents. I think Eye Spy is a fun learning tool. It is 9 blocks by 10 blocks--so I cut 90 different fabrics squares 5" each.

inset seams are seams that you have to sew partials . you can google it
